Work Text:

The rainfall on Winxetania was softer than usual.

The wind in the room was airy and the sunlight that tried to burn from the window could not be spotted, yet somehow the room was lit up gently like a morning that never ends.

It was still, still and yet so beautiful.

Tye Loe peaked open his eyes, letting the comfort take him in while his eyes drifted to the other side of his bed, his body turning at the same time to face the right side of his bedroom he only shared with himself.

A small gasp of breath left him while his eyes widened for a short moment before returning to their normal size. He silenced his gasp with his own palms, a small tear escaping one of his eyes that quickly dropped and was soaked into his pillow.

It was Mazen, his husband. Oh how long has it been since they last met? Twenty years, maybe more? It had been so long, Tye Loe was worried he had forgotten what Mazen looked like.

But he hadn't, as even with age and scarring, Mazen still appeared to be the same Mazen that Tye Loe had found himself falling in love with oh so many years ago.

This couldn't be real, could it?

It had to be, surely. There was so way his mind could conjure up such a beauty of an image like this.

Tye Loe reached his hand over to where his sleeping husband laid, his palm connecting gently onto Mazen's cheek. He felt warm when their skin touched.

A smile appeared on Tye Loe's face, a little gasp leaving him when Mazen leaned into his touch, his grey eyes opening to meet the blue eyes of Tye Loe.

Mazen smiled.

"Hey." He whispered, kissing Tye Loe's fingers and reaching for his palm. His metallic thumb reached toward Tye Loe, touching the scar that sat scratched on the right side of his face. "Sorry about that." Tye Loe chuckled.

"Yeah, well I'm more sorry about that." Tye Loe touched the left side of Mazen's face, touching his burnt skin that went down to his neck. Mazen smiled, reaching his two robotic hands up to hold onto his husband's face. Even though his hands were cold and unable to feel, Mazen was still able to feel the warmth that was being emitted from Tye Loe.

"Eh, it was years ago, I'd much prefer to forget about it." Mazen reached over, placing a soft kiss onto Tye Loe's forehead. "So how is Zena, does she know about me?" Tye Loe smiled.

"Of course she does, you're her father. I'd never let her forget you," Tye Loe touched Mazen's hair, twirling it between his fingers. "I'd never let myself forget you." Mazen smiled again, placing a kiss onto his husband's lips.

"Hey, you're as much like her father as I am. The only difference is that one raised her while one shares blood." Mazen shook his hair around, letting it all lay on his pillow unruly.

Tye Loe chuckled.

"You have great bed head, my love." He told Mazen, watching the other light up with glee.

"I wonder if I give great head as well then." He smirked out, causing Tye Loe to chuckle out.

"You're ridiculous." Tye Loe whispered into his ear.

"Yeah, but you love me." Tye Loe tucked Mazen's hair behind his ears.

"That I do, darling."

Their lips met once more, connecting together in a pace that was both gentle but filled with passion. Tye Loe reached a hand covered in scars over, grabbing the back of Mazen's hair and pulling, letting Mazen gasp into his mouth with a small chuckle.

Their limbs were entangled as one, the gentle breeze that sneaked in causing their bodies to huddle even closer for more warmth.

Tye Loe draped an arm over Mazen's shoulder, smiling at him while his lips reached to connect once more. Mazen hummed with content, his lips soft against Tye Loe while they both wished for more.

Another kiss gently placed itself on both of their lips and they were pulled together again.

Tye Loe wondered if they were going to run out of air during this. They weren't as young as they used to be.

Mazen pulled away first, looking into his husband's eyes with the love of a thousand stars, air refilling his lungs when his gasps became heavy.

"I love you, Tye Loe." He whispered.

"I love you too, Mazen." The other whispered back.

Mazen leaned forward, pressing his lips towards Tye Loe's ear, his hot breath breathing down his neck.

"Then find me."

With those simple words, Tye Loe was wretched from his little world.

The rain outside was heavy, the room was damp and dark while the wind blew through trying to cause as much damage as it could.

Tye Loe laid in the middle of the bed, no one around him, his pillows firm and his blankets almost falling off his body.

He turned to look at both his sides, pleading for the man he was with to still be there but alas, he was not.

Tye Loe sighed, looking up at his scarred hands that he held up high before placing his arms back down.

It was a dream, just a dream.

He should have known.

But maybe, just this once, he liked to live in fantasy, and believe that his dreams, no matter how fantastical, were real somehow.

His fingers grazed the silver ring that sat on his chest, touching the cold material that sat against his bare skin.

The last part of Mazen he had left it seemed.

Outside his room, he could hear the sound of Zena's footsteps as she returned home, entering their kitchen to make some tea for the two of them before she would eventually enter her room and pass out for the next couple of hours.

Tye Loe smiled, lifting himself up and grabbing onto his robe.

Maybe his ring wasn't the only part of Mazen he still had left to hold onto.

Mazen's last words to him rang out throughout his head as he pulled his robe upwards onto his arms but they wouldn't stick.

Sooner or later, Tye Loe would forget the words that had been said to him and continue on with his life, knowing that something was wrong, but he didn't know what.

Notes:

Hope you enjoyed! This was quite emotional.

Apologies to anyone who is waiting for me to actually update one of my fics rather than writing original stories about oc's. This is just easier for me for the time being.

So again, hope you like this short fic and if you want more, follow me on tumblr.
