Summary
Returning to school at summer's end, students reunited with friends, staff prepared for the year ahead, and new arrivals settled into new surroundings. Nevermore Academy, located just outside of Jericho, Vermont, had been home to outcasts, freaks, and monsters for two centuries. It was a sanctuary of sorts, home to the youth of the supernatural and inhuman.
But, as with anything magical or mysterious, a darkness presided, hidden away in the nooks and crannies of the weathered corridors and classrooms. On occasion, said darkness would spill out into the world, curling its clawed fingers around the student body, leaving tragedy, betrayal, and bloodshed in its wake.
Hopefully, the events of the previous school year would stay in the past, letting the Academy and the nearby town move on from the death and heartbreak.
