Hello! Going to get straight to the point here and explain my headcanons since this is slightly canon divergent but not much. You can probably tell I spent way too long overthinking this. I had nothing to do this summer and busied myself with conjuring up an entire divergent universe. So sue me.
Info about the universe and other headcanons:
- This is set in the WEBTOON'S post-canon, not the Wattpad version. Everything that happens in the webtoon does happen in this universe, including everything with Sooha. However, she and Heli do not start a romantic relationship, and Sooha sacrifices herself to defeat Dardan. The vampire boys think of her as a good and treasured friend and respect her for her sacrifice, but she is not significant in this universe since it's around 6 months post-Dardan. I figured I had to give at least some closure for this.
- In the webtoon, when Dardan dies all of the vampires he created die with him. But in this universe, the more powerful vampires survive because I need some antagonists. Basically all of the lesser vampires die, but there are like final bosses that the vampire boys still have to protect the town from.
- That being said, after the whole Dardan thing, the vampire boys return to Decelis Academy and attend school like normal. Except they go on patrols to find and get rid of these leftover antagonist vampires and other monsters that exist in the world. Almost like superheroes, except they're vampires lol.
- After the final battle with Dardan, the werewolves and the vampires sort of reconcile-ish. They agree to make peace with each other and a part of their pact is to combine forces to patrol the cities where their schools are located. This is a segue into how the two groups get closer with each other and become friends. They start to see each other more often but they stop viewing each other as enemies and rivals.
- For those of you who are not aware, the TMI girls (Tina, Melissa, Isabelle) appear sparingly throughout the Wattpad and Cuttoon comic on IG. They make a brief and fleeting appearance at the end of the webtoon. In this universe, they are my platonic Sooha proxies. They're side characters and plot devices, basically.
- For continuity reasons, all seven Decelis boys are still in the same grades as they were during the events of DM:TBA (otherwise it would be too hard to explain why Heli hasn't graduated yet lol)
Info about the author's preferences and plans:
- I am obsessed with Shion. He is adorable and such a brat and I love him and wish he had more screentime. For this reason, many of these oneshots will be slightly Shion-centric, but not all of them! I am a SunSunJake bias so expect a lot of Jino, Solon, and Shion here.
- Again, I am a sucker for hurt/comfort and love writing action scenes. Also expect cliches like injuries as a plot catalyst for bonding and strengthening relationships (nothing super duper graphic, don't worry). I love angst more than anything, but I also like writing fluff. Not every oneshot will be angsty. I want to write some slice-of-life oneshots too and maybe some silly crack oneshots.
- Kind of obsessed with the Shion/Tahel dynamic where they're always at each others' throats so I may build more on that and possibly do some sort of enemies-to-annoyances-to-friends-to-??? thing with them. Also I love the Shion/Solon bickering thing and I know Solon is just a big softie deep inside so I want to expand on their bond as brothers. Lastly, Solon/Enzy might be a non-platonic thing too. Who knows, maybe I'll end up adding in Khan/Heli????
- These are going to be short-ish (I say that now but I'll probably get carried away lol) and I plan to write them at my own convenience as fun little writing practices. I won't be taking any requests at this time but if I do decide to at any point I will announce it.
- Will absolutely be doing backstory and stuff because it is a crime that the webtoon never developed that part more. There's so much potential there???? What a waste.
- The main focus of this book is the relationship between the seven vampire brothers. The secondary focus is the relationship between the vampires and the werewolves.
- I haven't read the &Team webtoon (The Gray City) and though it's on my To-Read list, I don't know if I'll start or finish it in time. For this reason, the events of that webtoon do not have any effect on what happens in this universe. This is only for The Blood Altar webtoon, though the werewolves are a part of this universe.

I probably won't be posting in this book for a few days because I'm trying to finish up another fic for another fandom on another account and I've been procrastinating on that for way too long. I hope I won't find myself abandoning this work at some point. The webtoon ending like that really messed me up because I was expecting so much more and they gave us nothing. This work is currently rated Teen because I expect to write slight violence and serious injury. Also, I am not one to watch my profanity when I write.
Again, this has spoilers for the webtoon up till the final chapter as well as spoilers for the new children of vamfield webtoon (including all the fast pass episodes) so please proceed with caution if you haven't read the full blood altar webtoon yet or haven't caught up with the children of vamfield webtoon!
