(It would forever scare her that his supposed upbringing as Twilight mirrored her own at fifteen.) How ironic—the most genuine person she had trusted other than a child, living a lie.

Summary
a collection of my works inspired by themes and lyrics from the late singer-songwriter cady groves. cady groves (1989-2020) was a rising music artist with five albums to her name (one released posthumously) and hundreds of singles and demos. while many of her songs wrestle with tough themes such as breakups, strained family relationships, and hard times, all of her songs are raw, genuine, and honest.
i hope that in some small way here, cady's voice and heart will continue to impact and inspire others.- Words:

Summary
It’s the way Yor gazes at the floor that finally undoes him.
That, and the warmth of her hand; a gesture so alarmingly simple, so frequently demanded - except of course she hadn’t - that he thought he would’ve surely, surely been inured to it by now.
Now she blinks, clasping her purse a little tighter. Already he finds himself missing how her fingers had wound around his; that crushing grip nearly bone-breaking, and yet so unequivocally hers. And though he has the script perfectly rehearsed for situations like this, he’s speechless for once. Mute, even – especially when those eyes flicker up to him, waning into a smile he can only describe as heartbreakingly sad.
Sadness, he decides then, doesn’t quite suit her.
