As a werewolf hunter, Stephen's job was to protect people. Hunting weres was something he's trained his entire life for.
But in tonight's full moon, when the squirming were pinned to the ground with his dagger held closely to its neck suddenly transforms into a familiar face, he forgets his oath.
Stephen freezes.
"Tony?"
Tony stares up at him.
"I'm sorry."
As a werewolf hunter, Stephen's job was to protect people. As a partner, Stephen's job was to protect his loved one. He finds he doesn't care–about his job, about everyone else, about anything but Tony–and lets go.
