It's supposedly was just a day like any other, with patrols and fights as their usual activity. But today, they get dispatched in quite a different environment.
It looks like an open field, filled with nature things that they don't usually or ever see before.
It feels foreign, but, the view is too beautiful to be ignored.
For some unknown reason, their subconscious mind all agreed to just stay and explore the area; unknowingly taking a rest off patrolling.
One of them, a Large Cameraman, noticing a smaller fellow of his sitting a bit farther than the others. He seems to be doing something, intriguing him to go and check.
He walks towards him, gently tapping the Cameraman's shoulder to not surprise his smaller friend.
The other looked up, simply waved at him and then goes back to what he's doing.
"What are you doing all alone?" The bigger man asked, leaning forward to see what his friend has in hand.
There's a chain of unknown ... colorful, pretty, little things?
He doesn't know how to describe them.
They are strange to him. Maybe they're one of those organic materials that somehow stayed alive in this unfamiliar area.
"I'm making something," the Cameraman answered, patting the place next to him so the other sits down.
"I don't know what it is, but they seem familiar. I think I can tie them together in a circular shape."
The bigger man stared in puzzlement, seemingly not understanding what he meant by that.
Oh well, it looks like his friend is having fun.
"Do you ... know what they are?" The Large Cameraman asked once again, giving off a confused signal. The little one just shrugged, glancing at the bushes filled with those pretty little things, seemingly recalling some information.
"I've heard TVmen called them as 'flowers', so I think that's what they are." He replied, dusting off the fallen fragments from his lap. "If I remember correctly, they mentioned that these are what humans use as decorations."
The Large Cameraman just nods, not sure on how to response. He runs his fingers through the wild flowers around him, taking a closer look at them.
They are delicate, prettier than anything he ever seen before. There are a variant of colors, and they are way smaller in comparison to his hands.
They are cute, something that is different from what he is used to.
"I like them," he said, unconsciously. The Cameraman glanced at him in surprise, seemingly happy with what he heard.
"I like them too! They are pretty, and it makes me happy," the Cameraman said, as he stands up and carefully places the wreath of flowers on top of the Large Cameraman's head.
The man chuckled, meanwhile the other is bewildered.
"You look pretty with them!" The Cameraman exclaimed in joy, a voice tone that the Large Cameraman never really heard before. They don't have mouths, but he knows that the Cameraman is smiling widely at him.
What was that again- Pretty? Him?
He never heard anyone say that to him nor anyone. All of them look the same, don't they? Why would this thing makes him pretty?
"What do you mean by that?" The Large Cameraman stared at him, genuinely unable to process the compliment.
Rather than answering, the other could be heard giggling at the question, uninterested in giving a reply. Instead, he simply sits back down and started to make another set of those circlet things.
Well, the Large Cameraman choose to not repeat his question. Whatever makes his friend happy, then it's surely isn't a bad thing.
Besides, it looks fun, maybe he should try making one?
Before the Large Cameraman could pick a few flowers for his own, a familiar pair of hands rest on his shoulder, with him looking up by reflex to see who it is.
Oh, it's one of the Large Speakerman, and a smaller fellow of his, too. They seem to take notice.
"What is this? It's pretty!" The Speakerman said, gently touching the chain of flowers that sits on top of the Large Cameraman's head. The Cameraman replied excitedly, "it's a flower crown! I made it myself!"
The other responded with a happy twinkle, quickly sitting by the Cameraman's side to directly see what his hands are doing.
"They're called 'flowers'? I think I've heard it somewhere before!"
The Cameraman jolts up in joy upon hearing that statement. He instinctively turned around, now facing the Speakerman.
"You did?! Do you know their names?"
"Names? What do you mean?"
"I've heard that each flowers are named differently! I don't know what makes them different, though. Nor do I know their names."
"I see, maybe someone in the team knows! Do you know what it is, big guy?"
The Large Speakerman just shakes his head, then slowly turning over to point at the TVmen that's on the opposite side from them.
It seems that they're done exploring other parts of the field, what a good timing.
"Maybe we could ask them instead."
"Good idea! Let me get them here real quick." The Speakerman leaps, wasting no time in running towards the TVmen, grabs their hands, and drags them across the field, back to where the others are now seated.
"What's going on here? Are you guys doing something?" The TVman asked, displaying a confused emoticon on his screen. Excitedly, the Cameraman shows off his flower crowns up in the air, seemingly delighted with this situation.
"I'm making flower crowns! And we were just talking about flowers, because I've heard that each one of them have names! Do you know what they are?"
The TVman glanced at the flowers around them, visibly processing the informations within his system. In a split second, his screen shows a string of letters, spelling out d-a-i-s-y.
"From what I could remember, humans called these type of flowers as 'daisy'," he said, receiving a choir of long 'ohhh' from his companions.
"They usually vary in color, but the most popular depiction of them are in white. It seems that these ones are wild variant, since there are no humans to cultivate them." The TVman continued, now placing his palm on top of the Large Cameraman's head, seemingly fascinated by the flower crown.
"And if I may say, the flower crown suits you well, friend. You look pretty."
".... Thank you, but why do you think so?"
"The flowers are a delightful decoration."
The other just nods, decided to let it pass off since his mind is now focused on something else-- Trying to create his own flower crown.
"Oh, by the way, I'm surprised to see that you know how to make this thing, friend. How did you figure it out?" The TVman asked, in which the Cameraman replied with a simple shrug.
"I just unconsciously do it," he said, unsatisfied with his own answer.
Out of the blue, the Speakerman pops himself down by the other's side, beaming with a jovial noise. It seems that he wandered off earlier to pick quite a number of daisies.
"Well that doesn't matter, it's still cool! Could you teach me how to make that flower crown? I want to try!"
The Cameraman simply nods in enthusiasm, definitely more than happy to comply.
"Well, since we have some time, how about we all make some flower crowns together?"
There's a brief silence. Each one of them looked at the other, contemplating the request that is seemingly so silly in this situation.
"I don't see why not," said the Large TVman all of the sudden, nearly giving others a core-heart attack as he leans forward and looms above them.
Hearing him talk in general is not something one would expect, even more so to accept such frivolous thing.
"I didn't foresee you out of all of us to be the one who accepted first," the Large Speakerman chimed in, in which the Large TVman responds with a head tilt.
"I don't either, but I genuinely find them interesting," he said, as he gently sits down right between the Large Speakerman and the Large Cameraman. "It may be difficult, but I would like to try."
A low chuckle could be heard between the static noises, signaling amusement.
"Well, I suppose making one wouldn't bring us harm," state the TVman, displaying a ':3' emoticon on his screen.
"Wonderful! Then let's gather some more of them before we start!"
Without a warning, those two little ones jumped out in sync, running through the fields to search for the prettiest daisies. TVman chuckled once again, teleporting to where they are in an instant to help out. Meanwhile, the larger alliances stayed under the shade, choosing to mess around with the ones that are already done.
"After this, what do you two think we should do with them?" The Large Speakerman asked, softly touching the one that the Large Cameraman donned. "Maybe we can give them to others back at the base," the Large Cameraman responded without much thoughts, taking off his flower crown and handing it over to the Large Speakerman. "Here, you can play around with it," he said, in which the other takes, observes for a few seconds, then puts it back on top of his friend's head.
The Large Cameraman feels bewildered once again. He was about to ask, but the Large Speakerman cuts him to it.
"I feel like it's better if you keep wearing it."
"Why? Don't you think it's weird?" He questioned, in which the man replied with a shrug. The Large Speakerman himself doesn't even know why.
"It's rather pretty, if anything," the Large TVman chimed in, tilting his head to the side as if trying to take a better look at his fellow large friend.
"I hope you won't take this the wrong way, but I don't see why it should be considered weird," he continued, receiving an understanding hum from the Large Speakerman.
"We're not ones to decorate ourselves as soldiers, but I personally think it's wonderful to do so."
Ahh, he doesn't understand this mixed-emotions he's feeling right now.
The Large Cameraman knows his friends meant well, and there's no such thing as weird in the Alliance, judging by the weirder reality they are living in anyway. But, he feels that something is off with this situation.
There's an unfamiliar warm feeling inside his system.
But well, it isn't seen as a bad thing, so why should he worry?
Perhaps because he's the only one who's wearing one? That might be it.
"Although, if you don't feel like it, that's also okay," the Large Speakerman taps the Large Cameraman's shoulder, breaking his immersion. "You don't have to wear it just because others said so, and I'm sure your little friend will understand."
The Large Cameraman nods, putting off the circlet he attempted to make on the ground, lamenting over his own thoughts.
"I suppose it's just feels foreign to me, I'll get over it," he said, glancing over at the other two who are still fixated on him. "And I guess I'll feel better if others also wear these flower crowns," the Large Cameraman murmured-- Loud enough for the other two to hear. They looked at each other, then nods in agreement.
"We can do that, of course."
"Do you think others will also find these flowers pretty?"
"Why won't they? Flowers are beautiful."
As those three struggled with making flower crowns, the smaller members came back after several minutes of picking daisies. Judging by the signals they're radiating, it seems that they had fun.
"Oh, you guys started early!" The Cameraman exclaims, as he dumped everything that he managed to pick onto the ground before taking a seat. They're basically drowning in a sea of daisies at this point, which seems like a funny view from afar.
"It's kinda hard to tie them together," the Large TVman said, showing the nearly crushed daisies on his palms. "I think it's because your hands and fingers are way bigger than the flowers, they are very fragile." The TVman responded, giving a reassuring pat to his fellow large friend who emits off some unhappy wave.
"I can't do it as nicely as him either," the Large Speakerman shows off his attempt, also seems a bit saddened. "Our fingers are a bit too long to do this."
"Oh it's alright, we can learn! We just need to be veeery careful!" The Cameraman optimistically commented, quickly handing everyone a few daisies to start with.
"Now, let's start with two! Look at my hands, tie them together like this ...."

"Hey, has the exploration team came back yet?"
"Yes, they've came back around an hour ago. They reported that there was no enemies in that area, and it's a very peaceful place. Perhaps we could find a use for it later on."
"That's great news. But, what is that on your head?"
"What--? Oh. This is a flower crown, the exploration team came back and brought a lot of these things."
The Black Cameraman stared in silence, seemingly puzzled with the situation.
"Why did they brought back such things?" He asked, in which the Scientist replied with a shrug.
"I don't know either, but they're pretty. The exploration team did reported that there are so many 'flowers' in that area, maybe we can do something with that," he answered, not even sure with what he could come up with.
"Besides, everyone seems to like them, I think it makes everyone a bit happier," the Scientist continued, making a sound similar to that of a laugh.
"They do seem nice to look at," state the Black Cameraman, glancing up at the flower crown. "Although it is not something I expected for us to see around here."
"I know, it's a strange feeling, but I'm sure it has a purpose. Even the titans like them, so I'm sure they do bring some sort of joy."
".... Huh? The titans also got one?"
"Yeah, you should go and see it yourself. It looks unreal."
"Those guys ... have quite the dedication, it seems."
The Scientist just waves it off, about to head back to the research section, before stopping on his track and turned at the Black Cameraman.
"By the way, I think they also have one for you. You should get it from the lounge area."
"... And what good is that gonna do me? It won't help in fights."
"I don't know, but maybe you will feel happier."
"Ha, how odd."
"Pffft, I know, it's a silly thing. But hey, they tried their best. The big men are proud of it."
".... Fine, I'll get mine."
"Oh, how sweet of you. I'm sure they'll appreciate your enthusiasm."
"Oh shush. I'm just curious about the flowers."
The Scientist chuckled, ignoring the scoff that his audio receptors caught as the other walked away.
Maybe he should go to that field and check the flowers by himself.
