“And I’m going to feel real good when I send you two to a place where you’re never going to see the light of day. Ever. Again.” The Admin said, raising his hands.
“Try it and see how that turns out for you, Admin.” Jesse threatened. She didn’t look very threatening, flailing around in the air, but her tone was bone-chilling. Even I felt scared, and I was on her side. The Admin paused.
“You really do enjoy making things difficult, don’t you Jesse?” The Admin’s eyebrows furrowed. “I suppose you have a point. So I’ll solve that then.” He laughed.
“Listen, I have the perfect idea. It’s something you’re a bit familiar with actually, Petra. Although I suppose it won’t be the most familiar to you from this angle.” I felt a chill run down my spine when he said my name. “Want to… take a guess?”
I thought for a moment. I was familiar with a lot of things. Possession, loneliness, being lost, and also-
Amnesia.
“No…” I could hear my heartbeat pounding in my ears.
The Admin laughed again. “Oh… yes. Say your goodbyes, Jesse.”
She gasped.
“Not that you’ll remember them anyways.”
And then we were gone.
