Chapter Text
Jimmy was just heading home after finding out he and Lizzie were siblings. not the most shocking thing, as they had a lot in common. During his flight, however, Jimmy spotted Scott heading toward lizzes. He just shrugged it off as a weird coincidence and continued his flight home. When he landed, Jimmy started going about his normal duties as the codfather. such as feeding the cod, checking on the villagers, cleaning the water, and reinforcing the great wall.after a bit of work, Jimmy started to feel..off. Not quite sick, but not at his personal best either. He decided to head to bed, not after doing one more check-in on the village, to which many of them suggested he rest, as he didn’t look well.he decided that if he didn’t feel better by mourning, he would visit wizard gem, as she could probably help with whatever bug he might be catching.
Going to brush his teeth (probably be useless anyway, since his toothbrush was the equivalent of steel wool on his teeth), he looked in the mirror. He noticed a few tan-ish scales trailing his arms and neck, much to his horror.
“What the fuck”
Jimmy tried to scratch them off, wash them off, and even burn them off.(he did find that his cloak was flammable apparently) but nothing worked. In fact, it only made it worse. Instead of just a few small patches of scales, there were now many large patches. It was too late in the night to see Gem, so Jimmy would have to go first thing in the mourning. So, very grumpy, he made his way to his bed, flopping onto it face-first, and falling right to sleep.
Over at the ocean empire, Queen Lizzie had just made a deal with a familiar elf. one that she would go on to regret.
Jimmy was very tired. Despite getting a goodnight’s sleep, he was still incredibly tired. As soon as he stood up, he could tell something was wrong. Jimmy appeared to be taller than usual, looking to be standing at about 6’6 instead of his normal ‘5’4. He very sluggishly made his way down the hall to his closet, when he looked down to find a scaly, webbed hand reaching for the doorknob, and not his normal very much human one. Jimmy wanted to screamed. He probably would have if it wasn’t for the fact that he had gotten up so early to make the journey to the crystal cliffs, and the rest of the codlands was still asleep.he slowly backed away from the closet, before reaching out again to quickly open it to see the mirror inside. Pushing away some cloths, he wheeled the mirror out, noticing that his other had was also webbed and scaly. Jimmy stepped in front of the mirror, just expecting the scales to have spread a bit. What he did no expect, was what he saw.
Instead of his normal, peachy skin, was tan-ish brown scales trailing what looks to be his entire body. An amphibian tail wrapped around the back of his legs, and amphibious finns replaced his ears. On his face, jimmy’s teeth were a bit shaper nad more pointed, but the real difference was his eyes. Where soft, kind brown eyes once were, were eyes with black sclera and bright green irises. His pupils looked a bit more slit as well.
Jimmy was breathy heavily
“What do I do? What do I do?” echoed in Jimmy's head as he looked at his now amphibious stature.
“Gem!”
It clicked in a moment. How had he forgotten? Gem might have someway to undo this.
Jimmy quickly got dressed, trying to hide the tail and scales as much as possible. He eventually settled for his usual cloak, (which was torn to shreds, thanks to the swamp) a jacket, a knit hat from one of his stays at Rivendell, the glasses Joel gave him when they dissed fwhip, and a pair of gloves and a mask. He ended up tucking the tail into his jacket as well, before quickly making his way to the Crystal Cliffs.
A few hours of traveling later, and he was there, the crystal cliffs. As much as he wanted to stay and bask in its beauty, he had a wizard to find.Jimmy went to the first place he thought of: the magic academy. he made his way to the still-under-construction school, before heading to the headmaster’s office. Upon entering, gem was working on transcribing some spells into a book.
“Gem i need your help, i think someone's cursed me”
