Well, so much for making flower crowns.
Mari had tried her hardest to show them all how to make them, but Kel had gotten bored. Sunny had too, apparently. Sorry, Mari...
They had both ran off from the hangout, choosing to walk to Hobbeez to read comics instead. Kel talked about nothing while Sunny listened on the way there, nodding at certain points. Sunny was always such a good listener. Kel liked that about him. Kel liked everything about him...
...Yeah, because Kel liked everything about all of his friends. Kel didn't like having favorites, but he liked hanging out with Sunny the most.
Sunny always listened to his rambling carefully. Sunny understood what he was saying better than Kel himself did.
Sunny was warm like the sun. Just now, the two were holding Mari's example flower crown. Kel could feel how warm Sunny made his face when they were next to eachother like that. When the two of them, Aubrey, and Basil were cuddling with Sunny's plushies, Kel remembers hugging Sunny just to feel his warmth. He really was sunny.
...Kel didn't think about any of his other friends like this. There's a word for that, right? Kel was never good in english class, though...
...Oh....
... Oh.
...Basil had said... that when you feel like that way about someone else, it's called a crush or something.
No.. Kel had always thought romance was gross! That can't be it!
...But.. when he was laid down with Sunny like that earlier.. he could feel his face burning up. It was like that whenever he was with Sunny.
Ew! What's wrong with him?! Crushes are gross! This is gross!
...Sunny wasn't gross...
Sunny was nice.
So maybe that made it not gross.
"K..Kel?" A small voice spoke up from infront of him.
It was Sunny.
"We're... at Hobbeez." Taking a look around his surroundings, realizing he had stopped talking at some point, Kel regained a sense of grounding and got back on his feet.
..Did they both just walk here in total silence? That's.. awkward.
Whatever! No time to think about it!
"Alright!! Let's go read Captain Spaceboy!" Grabbing Sunny's hand, Kel marched into the store.
