   As payment for telling Madoc where Eva Duarte was hiding, Balekin demanded Jude to be his assassin. Jude was his assassin from ages 13-16 and she was saved by the Ghost who trained her. Jude and the Ghost were best friends. After Jude makes Cardan High King, she goes to the human world where she is attacked by a centuries-old faerie hunter who works for Balekin.
