    Instead of a handshake it was a hug before Hardy left to be with his daughter. Him and Miller did have some contact in the months that passed, but they missed each other, though they'd like to not admit it...

    Hardy moves back to Broadchurch with his daughter eight months after he'd left. Him and Miller are quick to reconnect, but are afraid to take things too fast.
