“Tell me if you like this,” was the first thing Porsche told him as soon as Kinn sat down, a tall glass carefully pushed towards him. “I know you’re not particularly into white rum but -”

He had managed to steal a glance at the girl as he made himself comfortable, and felt his irritability growing at the revelation that she was very pretty. She had a small face and looked soft around the edges, her frail-looking body clad in a white, strapless dress adding a finishing touch to an image depicting all the things Kinn knew he could never be.
Porsche must have heard the almost imperceptible strain in his voice because he chose not to protest, and leaned over the bar in order to kiss his lips instead. “Aish, you only want me for my body.” The comment would have made Kinn chuckle if it wouldn’t have been for his rummaging mind. “Take these to our table, I’ll join you in a second.”
He made sure to offer the girl a pointed look before doing as he was told.
