The crown lolls down the side of Tony's head but manages to stay on, and Stephen has to stifle a giggle at the loopy, wide smile Tony is wearing. The artifact is an interesting one; something that reduces people into a slow, almost drunken state, making them vulnerable and very, very honest. If Stephen remembers correctly–and he always does–the artifact was made to take advantage of people in these states and make them spill truth.
Tony has managed to get his hands on the artifact and, because he's an idiot, decides it's a great idea to try it on. Stephen should be mad, but as it is, he isn't. He would be, much later, but now? Now Stephen just wants to let Tony embarrass himself in the state he's put himself into.
"You're so pretty. I really like your face. Has anyone ever told you how pretty you are?"
Stephen snorts. "Yes. Almost every night, actually."
Tony's lips downturn, eyes widening pathetically as he pouts. "There's someone else?"
Stephen couldn't help his chuckle this time. "No, douchebag. I'm talking about you."
Tony's face lights up at that, an almost puppy-like grin, a giggle escaping him.
"I really, really like your face." Tony leans in to peck a kiss on his cheekbone.
Stephen feels heat creeping up his cheeks, but tries to play it cool by snorting. "I know."
