Shen Yuan wakes up in a different world, and does not even have enough time to figure out where - and who - he is, before there are someone else's lips on his own.
A man's lips. The blurry figure that had been sitting at his bedside and slammed into him the second he showed signs of waking up, was a man. A man with long hair, somewhat chapped lips, strong hands, and a smell of incense.
'What the f[bleep]k?!' he thinks, but does not push the man away. The situation is way too fishy to do anything before he gathers any information, so he goes along with it (and it is not that hard, since the stranger, for all his possible faults, is a good kisser).
He is then startled for the second time, by a robotically monotonous voice that speaks from the inside of his head.
The voice explains, in an annoying monotone that is doubled with white text upon neon blue translucent screen, that he, Shen Yuan - user 002 - is now in the body of Shen Qingqiu, the scumbag teacher of Luo Binghe from the trash novel Proud Immortal Demon Way that ruined his entire life, and would now be ruining his afterlife, too, since he is now forced to turn this plague upon the Chinese language into a decent novel, from the inside. You can you up!
He listens to its explanation, and, when it fails to provide the answer to his initial question (what the fuck?), he speaks up (but not literally, of course).
'Yes, I get that, but can you explain to me why Shen Qingqiu, notorious whoremonger and child molester, is being kissed by a man? Who is this guy, anyway?'
Just as he does so, the man finally lets go of his lips, and starts talking while Shen Yuan is catching his breath.
"Xiao Jiu must forgive this foolish one. This Qi-ge thought he had lost you for good." He must not hide his confusion well enough, because whatever he sees on Shen Yuan's face makes the man frown. "Qingqiu-shidi?"
That rings a bell.
[Character unlocked: Cang Qiong Mountain Sect leader, Yue Qingyuan!]
As if he has not guessed already! Only one person in CQMS could refer to Shen Qingqiu, the lord of the second peak, as a shidi: the only man the scum villain was under, the sect leader himself. Only... since when was Shen Qingqiu literally under him?! System!! This was NOT in the canon book! He knows this, he has read all 6666 chapters, smut included!!! It is so treacherous, to dump him in this fanfic-worthy situation with zero preparation! Now he has to improvise based on the (incredibly scarce) cues he has got so far, and make up something to say before the sect leader suspects anything!
Alright, what was it the man has called himself just now? -
"Qi-ge, this one... I am sorry," he says, dropping the formal language when it does not taste right in his mouth. They seem to be way too familiar for that, and if he is wrong, well.. "Your Xiao Jiu does not feel well. What happened?"
Yue Qingyuan looks half-concerned, half-relieved. Progress?
"You were down with a fever, and stayed asleep for several days. I thought I would lose you for good." Yue Qingyuan's eyes are filled with sorrow as he grabs him by the hands, "I know I have no right to ask it of you, but Xiao Jiu must promise he will never leave his Qi-ge like this."
"He promises," Shen Yuan says with all the sincerity he can muster, and is rewarded with the spark of joy in the sect leader's eyes.
'System?! Are you going to explain this, or what?! What the hell is the relationship between the sect leader and the scum villain?!'
[... Answering host, Yue Qingyuan and Shen Qingqiu are currently romantically involved.]
Shen Yuan promptly passes out again.
