Warning: This story is filled with senseless absurdity, a lot of salt that can cause hypertension, and for which nothing should be taken seriously in this story. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Let's begin this story with drama and humor in equal parts. The plot, starting with a pinch of narrative magic, introduces us to the French students of the foolish and neglectful Madame Calline Bustier in their final year at Françoise Dupont High School in Paris, France. Completely unexpectedly, these students won a prize that would allow them to travel to a town in the United States and spend two whole weeks at the most renowned Outcast school in the country. Despite some of them having made derogatory comments about the Outcasts in the past, the class, in an act of hypocrisy worthy of a comedy script, thought this idea was simply brilliant.
Meanwhile, a frustrated and exhausted Marinette had considered presenting the class in other contests that would suit them better or at least be more likely to win. One of her plans involved creating puppets with the possibility of winning a trip to New York, while another involved making a film about friendship and winning a trip to New Zealand. However, everything changed when Lila, the master of deception, claimed to know the ultimate authority among the Outcasts and to have had a relationship with Vincent Thorpe's son, Xavier. Under the class's insistence and pressure, Marinette was forced to submit the class's application to the Nevermore contest.
To everyone's surprise, they won. The class attributed their victory to an impressive video they had submitted, but the real reason was that the public school in New Jersey, which originally competed in the contest, mysteriously withdrew when they found out that the Addams children also attended the same Outcast school, leaving the French students as the only competitors. Weens, the host of the Nevermore school, was not exactly pleased with the winners, but since they had no competition, he begrudgingly welcomed them to his school.
Upon arriving at the Outcast school, the French students were awestruck by the architecture that seemed to have been torn from the pages of a magic book. The Nevermore students proudly strolled around in their expensive custom-made uniforms, showcasing their Outcast abilities.
While Max tried to unravel the logic behind the building and its history, Madame Bustier attempted to strike up a conversation with Weens, the elegant and tall headmistress who seemed completely indifferent to her efforts. Nathaniel was deeply impressed by a long-haired boy who, with his magical abilities, brought an ink snake painted on a wall to life. Rose and Juleka were enchanted by a group of sirens chatting by a lake, admiring their exotic beauty. Alix and Kim almost popped their eyes thinking about the challenges they could face in that environment. Adrien was excited to see a fencing club, Alya was busy taking notes on everything she could record and upload to her blog, Nino was thinking about all the movies he could film, and Ivan and Mylene were imagining all the romantic places where they could go on dates. Chloe, always seeking attention, was taking selfies while Sabrina held her belongings. Meanwhile, Marinette was already on her fifth coffee of the day, even though it was barely 10 in the morning because she simply couldn't bear another minute in class.
Lila, the manipulative mistress of deception, roamed the place as if she were the queen, clinging to Adrien's arm with a determination that could rival the weight of the Eiffel Tower. But how wrong she was.
As the group of students visited the courtyard, Lila fixed her eyes on a group of boys who immediately caught her attention. An African-American girl with dark skin, a boy in a woolen hat, a blonde with extravagant colors in her hair, another girl with braids and a black uniform, and, to Lila's surprise, the most impressive boy she had ever seen in her life. He surpassed even Adrien in beauty, with his imposing height, muscular strength, and a happiness that radiated from his being. Although he was embracing the girl with braids, Lila didn't hesitate for a second to decide that this boy would be her next conquest.
Director Weens cast a severe look at the French class, imposing her authority in an intimidating manner.
- This school has rules, and I expect you to follow them to the letter. I can be lenient in certain circumstances, but I will never tolerate strangers, known as 'normies,' jeopardizing my school's reputation and prestige, Weens exclaimed with a seriousness that would make any Parisian croissant tremble. Although Madame Bustier tried to intervene in defense of her students, one look from the blonde director was enough to leave her speechless. Meanwhile, Marinette was fascinated by Weens – I won't allow even the slightest rule violation. A single breach of the rules, no matter who is responsible, will result in immediate expulsion. Now, follow me and listen carefully. I won't repeat these rules, so keep your mouths shut.
The class began to follow the tall headmistress, with pale and terrified faces, not daring to utter a sigh. Meanwhile, Marinette looked at her with admiration, torn between wanting to be her or marry her. Both options seemed equally irresistible. That woman is terrifying, Rose murmured, on the verge of tears, while Juleka comforted her. I don't know if I want to be her or marry her, Marinette exclaimed, her face glowing with a mixture of admiration and mystery. Everyone turned to look at her, stunned by her bold statement. I want to stay by her side, always.

Lunchtime finally arrived, and the French students, guided by a kind but somewhat disoriented teacher, found themselves in the cafeteria of the prestigious Outcast school. As they entered the cafeteria, they were awestruck by the magnificent variety of delicious dishes before them. For the students of Françoise Dupont High School, accustomed to ordinary and plain meals, the experience was like entering a gastronomic paradise. As they gazed at plates of sushi, fresh pasta, juicy steaks, and an array of decadent desserts, they couldn't help but feel a tinge of envy for the opulence surrounding them.
Lila, always on the lookout for handsome and wealthy boys, spotted the young man who had caught her attention this morning. Without wasting a second, she grabbed Adrien's arm, and both of them rushed over to the table where he was seated, accompanied by his group of friends and the enigmatic girl in a black uniform. Lila's flying monkeys obediently followed them, hovering above. Without asking for permission or showing the slightest courtesy, the French group settled at the handsome boy's table, leaving Lila eagerly squeezing herself next to him.
- Hello! I'm Lila Rossi. And you? Lila asked with a charming smile and a flirtatious look, deploying her best seduction arsenal. The curly-haired boy, with an indifferent expression, raised an eyebrow at her bold advances. Although he didn't seem particularly impressed, he decided to answer her question.
- I'm Tyler Galpin, he replied in a calm voice, although his attention was clearly directed towards the girl with braids who was engrossed in reading a large black leather book.
- Pleased to meet you! exclaimed the blonde Enid Sinclair, wearing a wolfish smile. I'm Enid Sinclair.
The boy in the hat at the table gave them a friendly smile, while a small snake escaped from his hat before being quickly returned to its hiding place.
- I'm Ajax Petropolus, he introduced himself, explaining the presence of the snake with a casual gesture. The foreign class was surprised. I'm sorry; they seem a bit restless since you arrived. I don't know why.
- I'm Bianca Barclay, announced the dark-haired girl with exotic eyes, radiating stunning beauty.
- And I'm Divina Hook, and this is my twin brother, Kent, another girl with straight hair introduced herself and her brother, who shared a striking similarity in appearance with Bianca. Divina decided to address the issue of their surname Hook before anyone else could do so blatantly. Yes, we are aware that we are sirens, and our last name is Hook. Thanks for noticing.
- I'm Yoko Tanaka, a pleasure, murmured an Asian girl wearing round sunglasses and drinking blood directly from a donation bag, displaying a smile with blood-stained teeth. Clearly, a vampire.
- This beautiful cockroach is my perfect Wednesday Addams, my girlfriend, Tyler said proudly, directing his gaze towards the mysterious girl in black. Although Wednesday didn't respond to Lila or the looks of others, Tyler interpreted a subtle gesture as a slight blush, although no one else noticed that subtlety. Wednesday remained focused on her book and leaned a bit more into Tyler, who looked at her over his shoulder with genuine interest, completely ignoring the French students.
- Aren't you going to greet us? demanded Alya, annoyed and raising her voice in an attempt to get Wednesday's attention. Normally, when Alya got like this, people backed away due to her tendency to become violent. However, Wednesday didn't even bat an eyelash and continued her reading, showing no intention of interacting with the French students.
- Don't worry, Wednesday is like that with everyone; it's nothing personal. She simply hates 99.9% of people on Earth, explained Divina with a smile, while enjoying her fish. Her brother gave them a subtle smile.
- And Tyler forgets about 99.9% of living beings when he's with Wednesday, Kent joked about his friend.
- Hey, I haven't forgotten about them; I just decided to ignore them because my Wendy is more important than their miserable lives, the boy replied, burying his face in his girlfriend's neck. Wendy, can you torture them and then kill them for me? I know you'll have a lot of fun.
- Afterward, Tyler. There are too many witnesses now, Wednesday murmured without showing the slightest concern, which only further unnerved the French students. The atmosphere grew even more tense at the Outcast table, while the French students tried to process this strange welcome.
- Lila was growing increasingly frustrated. Tyler, the boy who had captured all her attention since her arrival at Nevermore, seemed completely absorbed by the mysterious and gothic Wednesday Addams. Incredulity washed over her. She was an exquisite and exotic Italian model, while Wednesday... well, Wednesday had her own macabre charm that clearly attracted Tyler.
Determined to regain Tyler's attention, Lila resorted to her most powerful weapon: lies. She began to weave an elaborate story, a falsehood that had brought her to this strange school.
- I must confide in you, she began in a soft and sweet voice, I dated Xavier Thorpe. She emphasized the name, trying to make it sound convincing. The Outcasts looked at her with apathy that bewildered her, while Bianca raised an eyebrow skeptically.
However, her efforts seemed futile. Tyler, with a suppressed laugh, replied, Sorry you had to deal with that guy, Lisa. He didn't even bother to call her by her real name. Thorpe is a stupid stalker. If I haven't killed him yet, it's because I might end up in a psychiatric ward, and that would separate me from my Wendy. His gaze changed, his hazel eyes turned into a wild yellow, and his fangs protruded, but he calmed down when Wednesday asked him to, returning to his human form. The French students were stunned. Tyler seemed like a real monster.
- My monster, calm down, Wednesday murmured, and then looked at her friends. I have to go to the forest with Tyler for training.
The curly-haired boy stood up immediately and followed her, giving her a suggestive look as he did. This prompted laughter among the Outcasts, while the French students were completely bewildered.
- What's so funny? Nino asked, trying to make sense of the situation.
- Those two are going to have some training time, but it won't last long, Yoko began to explain amid laughter.
- Tyler will become affectionate and possessive as usual, Kent continued, laughing as well.
- And before you know it, Wednesday and Tyler will return covered in hickey marks, with Wednesday wearing Tyler's sweater because he probably tore his shirt, and with his scent lingering on her skin, and we're not talking about hugs, Enid added, suggestively insinuating what the two were doing.
The French students were left speechless hearing their Outcast classmates speak so openly about the intimate relationship between Wednesday and Tyler. The situation was so unusual and bewildering that they didn't know how to react. They were trapped in a world full of mystery, extravagance, and dark humor, and they were just beginning to understand it.
{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}
- At dinner on the third day, the French students found themselves relegated to a separate table, with the sole exception of Marinette and Nathaniel. Despite Professor Bustier's efforts to have them join the main group and avoid feeling isolated, Marinette and Nathaniel remained steadfast in their decision to stay with their new friends. They argued that the purpose of these school exchanges was to meet new people and gain different experiences, leaving the teacher with no other option but to accept, although not without receiving many mocking looks from the Nevermore School students.
It was evident why the French students were being kept at a distance; simply put, nobody liked them at that school. The Nevermore students watched the French students with amusement. Some decided to play harmless pranks on them, such as giving them wrong directions to their classrooms, tripping them up to make them stumble, or even causing honey to fall on their heads. And no matter how much the French students complained, nobody did anything to stop these antics, as nobody at that school could stand Lila and her flying minions.
Lila had a habit of disrupting classes with invented stories, and when she was reprimanded, her minions would jump in to defend her, which only got them punished, generating even more complaints. The situation became increasingly absurd with each passing day.
Adrien, initially, had thought it would be fun to train in fencing during his stay at Nevermore, but he soon realized that he wasn't competing with his usual classmates. He was facing a group of professional, determined, and sometimes bloodthirsty students in their battles. Training with Wednesday and Bianca had become a more challenging experience than he had anticipated. Whenever someone from the French students tried to strike up a conversation with the Nevermore students, they mocked, ignored, or laughed at them, creating an even more uncomfortable atmosphere.
Tyler and Wednesday, on the other hand, were immersed in their own group of friends, along with Nathaniel and Marinette. Tyler, in particular, proudly flaunted his neck covered in hickeys, while Wednesday chose to hide the marks on her neck under Tyler's sweater. For Lila, this situation was unacceptable. She had planned to be the one to get close to Tyler, not Marinette or any other "slut."
Lila and Alya's frustration at being ignored had reached its boiling point. As a last resort, they decided that everyone should get up and head directly to the table where Marinette and Nathaniel were sharing their meal with their new friends. Lila, for her part, tried to flirt with Tyler, hoping to snatch him away from the clutches of Wednesday.
- Marinette, why don't you want to eat with us? The Nevermore students treat us poorly, you should stay with us, Lila lamented, trying to paint Marinette as a bad friend and draw attention to herself. Alya, in her role as a hired enforcer, was tempted to approach Marinette and confront her for making the Italian girl cry. However, she refrained from doing so when she noticed how everyone at the table was watching them intently. She wasn't so insensitive as to put herself in danger.
Marinette responded calmly and patiently, - I don't eat with you because we're on this exchange to meet new people, and I won't do that if I stay just with you. Plus, it's not my fault that you're not well-received by the other students. - Her explanation sounded condescending, as if she were speaking to monkeys, though perhaps she wasn't entirely wrong in her assessment. - Besides, you and I aren't friends, so…"
Shock overtook the French table, as although they knew their relationship with Marinette had cooled, they had never considered their friendship over. Adrien, in his perpetual naivety, was scandalized, as for him, everyone was friends forever.
- Marinette, of course, we're your friends - Rose replied, tears in her eyes, demonstrating that her range of expression was primarily limited to crying.
Marinette, however, couldn't have been more candid: - Rose, it's been a year since we had a serious conversation as friends, beyond class president responsibilities or homework. Tell me, when was the last time you came to my house as a friend and not as a bakery customer?
The blonde didn't know how to respond, limiting herself to crying silently while her girlfriend consoled her. Some French students shared uncomfortable looks, accepting the truth that their friendship with Marinette had changed and was no longer what it used to be.
Adrien, with a smile on his face that concealed his true determination, decided to intervene more forcefully. - Marinette, I don't just seek to be your friend again, but everyone's friend. We can't go on like this, separated. You should give us a chance. Nobody here talks to us, and that includes you. You're not behaving like the Marinette we knew, he expressed with a mixture of pleading and firmness, trying to hide his frustration behind his natural charm.
Marinette, with a raised eyebrow and an intrigued expression, looked at Adrien. "I'm sorry, Adrien, but things have changed. I don't want to be friends with any of you anymore. I'm not interested," she responded firmly, making her position clear.
Adrien's change in approach didn't seem to be working as planned, as Marinette showed no intention of reconciling, and Adrien was visibly disappointed by her response.
- Can we at least eat with you? Nobody talks to us, and I don't understand why - Mylène murmured sadly, seeking a chance for reconciliation.
However, before they could get an answer, Lila seized the opportunity to approach Tyler. She sat down next to him, flirting shamelessly and playing with his hair. This sparked a frenzy of excitement among the girls from the French class, who hoped to see a connection between Lila and Tyler. Although they knew Tyler had a girlfriend, they considered that to be only a temporary obstacle. The competition for his attention was underway.
Lila began to caress Tyler's chest, although he moved away from her with evident disgust. However, the situation took a surprising turn when a hand with long, sharp, deep black nails grabbed Lila's wrist firmly. It was Wednesday's hand, which seemed to be filled with restrained fury. To Tyler, this sausage-haired girl reminded him a lot of Laurel, and he didn't like it at all.
- Remove your filthy hands from what belongs to me, or I'll cut them off - Wednesday threatened in a dark and ominous tone, her nails pressing down hard on Lila's wrist, who let out a painful whimper.
Tyler decided to intervene with an even more intense threat, his words coming out ominously and darkly: "Let me be very clear, girl. Don't ever touch me again. You don't attract me, and you never will. Don't play with fire, because you'll get burned." As he spoke these words, Tyler revealed his fangs and Hyde's claws, as if he were willing to use his monstrous side if necessary.
Lila, despite her terror, did not give up on her attempt to win over Tyler; on the contrary, his reaction to her only obsessed her more. In her mind, she promised herself that she would succeed, that she would separate him from that mysterious girl who was with him. Her determination had been ignited, and she was willing to do whatever it took to break Tyler's heart for rejecting her. Her eyes gleamed with a mix of desire and obsession.
Then, Tyler and Wednesday got up and left, drawing the attention of everyone in the room. Bianca's warning about not separating a Hyde from his mate hung in the air. The French students, still bewildered by what they had just witnessed, decided to ignore the sirens' advice. "It's because of things like this that nobody talks to them," someone concluded seriously in a hushed murmur.
{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}
- Girls, it's not fair. I love Tyler, but that girl Wednesday treats him like an object. It's love at first sight, I know it. He just has to break free from that witch," Lila whined to her friends, while Rose hugged her. The girls were still scared of the monstrous couple, but if Lila said she was in love, then they would help her win the love of her life.
That night, they didn't sleep in late; they were busy planning different strategies to make Tyler fall in love with Lila. They called this the "True Love's Kiss Mission" and devised quite extravagant plans. While these plans lacked logic, these girls were willing to try anything.
The next day, they helped Lila look radiant. Even though they didn't have to wear uniforms, they were supposed to dress modestly and not too flashy. However, they abandoned that idea and dressed her in a tight, short, orange dress with a small, pronounced neckline. If Tyler didn't notice her now, Lila would be desperate, but she would also prove that she was much more beautiful than the damned Wednesday Addams.
And there he was, in the courtyard having breakfast under a tree. He looked truly beautiful, and Lila was daydreaming. Tyler seemed like the most handsome and wealthy boy in the world. She dreamt of the exotic places he would take her to, of all the expensive gifts he would give her. She would be the envy of everyone, and her modeling career would take off in his hands.
Her daydream was shattered when a pack of werewolves soaked her with ice-cold water balloons. The group of wolves laughed heartily, drawing everyone's attention. Tyler only looked at her with disgust, and Lila let out a scream of frustration before turning around and bumping into Director Weens, who stared at her sternly.
- Miss Rossi, I believe I was clear about the way you should dress during school hours. You're on the verge of breaking more rules. I'm being lenient to avoid dealing with your teacher's silly protests, but you're testing my patience, which isn't easy to provoke," scolded the blonde director firmly. No one had managed to scare Lila as much as this woman. She didn't seem like the type of person who enjoyed being manipulated, and Lila knew that nothing she said would be believed. This woman wasn't like Damocles or Bustier; lying to her wouldn't serve any purpose - Go change and make sure to arrive on time for your classes.
Lila rushed to her room, furious that her plan hadn't worked and because she had to change her outfit due to the darned director. She cursed the day she forced Maribrat to involve them in this competition. Once dressed according to the school's rules, she hurried to class without having breakfast due to lack of time. Moreover, a couple of monsters tripped her, causing her to fall to the ground several times, with no one helping her get up. She arrived late and, to top it all off, she had hoped to sit next to Tyler in Chemistry class, but his bland girlfriend was already by his side. She turned red with anger and sat next to that Divine siren who was looking at her mockingly.
Divina, always laden with sarcasm, made her taunting comment to Lila: - Tell me, Lila, was the water cold? It doesn't seem like the right time for the 'normies' to decide to play... What do they call it in Argentina? Oh yes, carnival.
Divina's joke triggered stifled laughter among the outcasts, while Lila's friends were torn between wanting to defend her and concern for the situation. But it didn't go unnoticed to them that several wolves were smiling and playing with their claws, silently enjoying the spectacle.
Divina, showing no signs of fatigue, added - As my friend Ty already told you, darling, you're playing with fire, and you're going to get burned badly.
Lila, overwhelmed by anger and jealousy, couldn't take her eyes off Tyler as he flirted with Wednesday, touching her knee and venturing under her skirt. Jealousy burned inside her, and she felt rage consuming her. How dare that slut touch her Tyler? He belonged to her, and only to her. Frustration and anger overwhelmed her completely, and she couldn't hold back any longer. A scream of fury escaped her lips, a scream that echoed throughout the classroom.
The teacher, bewildered and exasperated, had no choice but to eject Lila from the classroom and order her to report to Director Weens immediately.
{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}
It was a new dawn, a fresh and radiant opportunity on this Saturday. The possibility of shaping the day to their liking stretched out before them like a blank canvas. However, Vermont's unforgiving January wasn't the best ally for showcasing a low-cut dress. Therefore, they opted for a bright orange winter jumpsuit, which, while it could be likened to the appearance of a traffic cone on foggy nights, had its peculiar charm. After all, to each their own tastes.
As they prepared to face the day, Lila couldn't help but watch Tyler and Wednesday, who were immersed in preparations for their trip to the town.
- Do they ever separate? - Lila muttered with evident annoyance.
Wednesday, in her characteristic style, wore a striped t-shirt, a long black zip-up hoodie, and black jeans. Her braids completed her look. In Lila's eyes, Wednesday Addams, the embodiment of a girl with an austere appearance, was an enigma. Lila couldn't understand how a girl like Wednesday could make Tyler sigh that way. She didn't possess the sensuality and beauty that Lila herself considered to have in abundance. Or at least that's what the Italian thought. It's true that Lila often inflated her self-esteem, but in this story, we're not looking to completely dissect the characters' self-esteem.
With obvious flirting, Lila slowly approached the enigmatic couple, who seemed engrossed in an intimate conversation. However, before she could reach her destination, a crowd of people got in her way. They were other Nevermore students who were also planning to enjoy their weekend in the town. All eyes were on Lila, perhaps due to her earlier outburst of frustration or, maybe, her choice of attire that made her look like a human traffic cone. But Lila was already fed up with seeing how all her plans were falling apart. This time, she decided it was time to sabotage the couple's plans.
The day passed with unusual bustle in the picturesque town. Tyler and Wednesday, the mysterious couple, vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving Lila completely bewildered. With no slightest clue about their whereabouts, Lila embarked on a frantic search, scrutinizing every corner of the town. However, her efforts proved futile. She couldn't find a trace of them, neither in the modest local café, nor in the fast-food joint, nor in the cozy Italian restaurant, nor in the endearing local bookstore, not even at the cinema. It was as if the couple had evaporated from the town without a trace. This was a small town, and the lack of places to explore further heightened her desperation.
Frustrated and with a mix of anger and disappointment, Lila joined her group of classmates who were enjoying a picnic in the town's only park. The other curious girls began to interrogate Lila about her unsuccessful search, and she recounted that she hadn't managed to find them anywhere in town. It was as if they had disappeared off the face of the Earth. The mystery remained unsolved.
It was then that Nathaniel, with a mocking smile as he took a sip from his water bottle, joined the conversation.
- I know where they are, - bragged the red-haired boy with Marinette by his side, who could barely contain her laughter, aware of the tense situation Lila was in. Nathaniel had no intention of passing up this opportunity to tease her. - They're having a super romantic date at a place called 'Joseph Crackstone's Crypt.' According to Tyler, it's a very special place for them. But exactly where it is, that's a mystery. And even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you, dear home-wrecker.
The words "home-wrecker" resonated in everyone's ears with surprise. Until that moment, the girls had assumed that separating Wednesday from Tyler was more than justified so that Lila could have her chance with him. Indignation swept through the group.
Teacher Bustier, annoyed and outraged by Nathaniel's lack of respect, immediately intervened.
- Nathaniel, I demand that you apologize to Lila right away - she ordered firmly. However, Nathaniel had already decided he had nothing to lose. He planned to change schools at the end of the semester and pursue an artistic career alongside Marinette, so he didn't care about confronting the negligent teacher.
Nathaniel's words hung in the air, leaving everyone present stunned and amazed by his unusual bravery. He had uttered a statement that no one expected, least of all coming from someone so calm and reserved. However, what no one knew was that behind his sudden boldness was the work and guidance of an experienced therapist. This same therapist was also helping Marinette overcome her own personal challenges.
Nathaniel, like many others, had learned that psychologists weren't just for "crazy" people or those with serious problems. He recognized the importance of having a safe space where he could vent and receive advice to improve his quality of life. This revelation had transformed his attitude and given him the necessary confidence to face difficult situations.
- Come on, it's not my fault that she's a home-wrecker - Nathaniel continued, maintaining his defiant stance. - Maybe I should teach you some values, teacher. The girl wants to break up a couple over an obsession with a guy she won't see in less than 10 days.
Surprise and bewilderment spread through the group of students. Teacher Bustier, though annoyed by Nathaniel's attitude, was in a dilemma. While she didn't agree with his comment, she recognized that the boy had changed in recent times, and she couldn't help feeling a mix of astonishment and concern for his transformation.
Meanwhile, Lila was furious and overwhelmed by the situation. She had desperately tried to win over Tyler, but her plan had failed miserably. The idea that the boy who had stolen her heart was having a romantic date with Wednesday in a mysterious place filled her with jealousy and frustration. The battle for Tyler's heart was far from over, and Lila was determined to regain ground.
{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}
Two days had passed since Alya informed them about the Edgar Allan Poe-themed competition at Nevermore. The competition involved teams of students from each dormitory competing in an unregulated canoe race. When this news reached the Flying Monkeys and Lila, they all saw an opportunity in this competition. The Flying Monkeys thought it would be their chance to earn the respect of the other Nevermore students, while Lila saw the competition as a way to get even closer to Tyler. Nathaniel and Marinette initially tried to warn them about the race, but as they refused to listen, they gave up.
Nathaniel's idea of revealing the race's details to their classmates hung in the air. There was a constant murmur as everyone discussed the implications of the competition. Nathaniel, in a whisper to Marinette, questioned whether they should insist on telling them what the race was really about and the fact that it had no rules.
- Do you think we should insist on telling them what the race is really about and that there are no rules? - Nathaniel asked in a whisper, trying to keep the conversation private.
Marinette, who shared the same opinion as Nathaniel about their classmates, replied in a hushed voice as she enjoyed her lunch.
- No, let them be. They'll figure it out on their own. Besides, I want to see them sink in their canoe.
After lunch, Lila and the Flying Monkeys, along with Bustier, went to Director Weens' office to demand to participate in the Poe Cup. They argued that technically, they were still Nevermore students for 8 more days, although the reality was somewhat different. Weens, intrigued by the idea of seeing her own students compete against these new challengers, accepted their request.
She gave them the instructions for the competition, which included choosing a name related to Edgar Allan Poe's stories. However, she made it clear that they couldn't use the name "Lila's Squad" since it wasn't based on any of Poe's works. Furthermore, she reminded them that if they wanted to participate, it had to be under the rules of the competition, which they reluctantly accepted. In the end, they chose the name "The Scam" for their team, a choice that ironically seemed appropriate given their leader's reputation, although Nathaniel and Marinette decided to keep that thought to themselves.
Marinette's and Nathaniel's classmates made an attempt to force them to participate in decorating the canoe and choosing costumes. However, the two young ones played their trump card: - Bustier, our deal was that we would have lunch with the class every two days and had no obligation to them whatsoever. You're not keeping your promise, you're not being your best self.
Author's note: The author of this story seems to need the number of the fictitious therapist she created herself, as both Nathaniel and Marinette are showing unwavering determination. What a great job she did.
Bustier had to intervene to put an end to the class's harassment of Nathaniel and Marinette due to their commitment to them. This left the workload in the hands of the Flying Monkeys, as Lila had concocted a dramatic story about her supposed latex paint allergy, which led her classmates to be more concerned about decorating the canoe than planning a strategy.
- Should we insist they put on fewer sparkles and more axes? - Marinette whispered in Nathaniel's ear.
- No, I want to see their faces when they discover the strategies of the Nevermore students, - Nathaniel whispered back with a wicked smile as they watched Rose decorating the canoe with pink and orange sparkles.
Suddenly, they felt arms wrapping around their shoulders. It was Jason Sinclair, Enid's older brother. Marinette blushed slightly; she found Jason incredibly attractive: tall, strong, muscular, handsome, charismatic, and extremely kind. He was the complete package.
- What are you guys whispering about? - Jason asked with a flirtatious smile as Marinette leaned a bit closer to him, resting on his chest.
- We were talking about how much fun it will be to see your sister defeat our class, - Marinette explained, getting even closer to Jason, who hugged her.
- Enid and Wednesday have been planning strategies since a week after the Poe Cup. And now that Addams has demonstrated her witchy skills, they've come up with numerous strategies. Your classmates don't stand a chance, - he added with a smug smile. - Do you guys want to join our friends for a game of Uno?
- Sure, but let's remember that after a +4, you can play a +2, and we'll play with the rule of 5, - Nathaniel said while following Jason, who was leading Marinette by the hand to where their friends were.
The next day marked the beginning of the Poe Cup, and Lila found out that, indeed, this event was one of the few where Wednesday actively participated with her school. This motivated her even more to win.
Lila's anger grew when she overheard a conversation between Tyler, Wednesday, their friends, and Maribrat and Nathaniel.
- I beg you, please don't destroy the cat costume this year with your personal celebrations; we don't have enough, - Enid pleaded.
Tyler smiled lasciviously, wrapping Wednesday around the waist and pressing her against his chest. With an arrogant smile, he replied, - Don't worry, Enid, this time, I'm satisfied with the ears and her cute lingerie, - earning a nudge in the back of his head from his girlfriend and a sarcastic comment from her.
Lila was boiling with rage but focused on winning. It would be easy; she was smarter than any of them, and it was just a silly canoe race. It couldn't be that difficult.
But how wrong Lila was!
Once all the canoes were on the water, the class felt safe and confident, but the Nevermore students were mocking them behind their backs. Lila was in a canoe with Alya, Alix, and Mylene, leading them.
When Weens fired a shot into the air to start the race, all the canoes began to paddle, but they soon realized they were in trouble.
The Joker's canoe was throwing rocks at the other boats, while The Black Cats' canoe was unleashing hellfire.
Lila's classmates on the shore were horrified, and Bustier herself trembled in fear for her adorable students.
- We warned them, but they didn't listen, - Nathaniel said, laughing, as he watched Mylene fall out of the canoe and get completely soaked.
- Plus, Director Weens also warned them, but they disregarded her, - Marinette added, laughing as she watched Alya fall out of her canoe trying to dodge a hellfire ball. Rose was sobbing in fear at seeing her friends in danger.
- Marinette, you shouldn't laugh. This goes against the rules, everything that the Nevermore students are doing, - scolded Adrien, annoyed and presumptuous. - You should have helped them instead of laughing.
- What rules? The Poe Cup has no rules, kid. That's the beauty of the Poe Cup; it's a race created by and for outcasts, where there are no rules prohibiting attacking other teams, - Jason explained, appearing out of nowhere with Tyler, who looked extremely happy.
- Come on, My Cockroach! Destroy those bitches! - Tyler yelled like a maniac, cheering on his girlfriend.
Jason was looking at Marinette flirtatiously.
- Hey, how about you and I go to the celebration party together tonight? - the boy flirted with the petite French girl with blue eyes.
Adrien was faster than Marinette in responding, stepping in front of her as if his average size could stand up to Jason's muscle and height.
- She can't go anywhere with you, - Adrien told the werewolf, not knowing why he was so bothered by Marinette being close to him. Marinette gave Adrien a little kick in the shin and pushed him away.
- He doesn't know what he's saying. Of course, I'd love to go to the party with you, - the girl replied with a sweet smile.
- Perfect. I'll pick you up at 8 pm, gorgeous, - Jason murmured with a big smile before walking away with Tyler to cheer on both The Black Cats and Bianca's team.
Once Marinette realized that Jason and Tyler were at a safe distance, she punched Adrien in the stomach, leaving everyone in stunned silence. No one expected Marinette to throw a punch.
- Listen to me, Agreste. Never dare to meddle where you're not wanted. If I want to go out with Jason, I will, and you have neither a voice nor a vote, understand? - the little Franco-Chinese girl grumbled, angry. Then, when it was clear that Adrien wouldn't interfere again, Nathaniel and she walked away from their class.
The French class had not even advanced a quarter of the way through the course when their canoe sank into the water, putting an end to their attempt to compete. The race was clearly won by The Black Cats, Wednesday Addams' team. The French team emerged from the water, furious and soaked, with no one's help. The surprise was overwhelming since they had never imagined they would be attacked with rocks, axes, fire, and magic in a race that certainly had no rules. On the shore, their class awaited them, where Nathaniel and Marinette laughed heartily at the soaked girls.
- How was the water? I suppose it's cold for swimming, but since I didn't dive in, I can't comment, - Nathaniel started, mocking them with a teasing smile.
- Seriously, I think we all knew you didn't stand a chance of winning, but I swear this was the most fun I've had in a long time. Watching Lila desperately cling to her canoe not to sink was really entertaining, - Marinette continued, laughing almost to tears, reaching a point where they didn't care what the rest thought.
- Or when Alya was almost incinerated by a hellfire ball and had to jump out of her canoe, - Nathaniel added, watching the soaked girls who were now boiling with fury. - We tried to warn you, tried to explain what the race was about, but you decided not to listen to us. As the saying goes, 'There's none so deaf as those who will not hear.'
The four girls pushed Marinette and Nathaniel, who continued to laugh at them, and the rest of the class, except for Chloe and Sabrina, who had gone to do exactly what Nathaniel and Marinette did, ran to help their soaked friends. The defeat had been embarrassing, but at least they had learned an important lesson about the importance of listening to others and not challenging a race of outcasts.

At this point in the story, Lila Rossi was on the brink of madness. None of her attempts to win over Tyler had been successful, and time was running out quickly. Desperation consumed her, as it seemed she was incapable of winning the heart of any boy. Meanwhile, Maribrat already had a handsome werewolf willing to study at the University of Paris just to be with her. Lila's friends shared her despair, as all their plans had failed miserably.
- Don't you think it's time to give up? It's obvious that nothing we try will work. We should've just locked Lila and Tyler together, I swear - Nathaniel exclaimed, clearly irritated. What had initially seemed amusing to them now gave them headaches. The redhead distanced himself as far as possible from the group, unaware that he had just given them the most absurd idea they had ever had.
That idea, as crazy as it seemed, could be the key to making Tyler fall in love with Lila. The reason he hadn't succumbed to her charms was that they had never spent time alone; Wednesday was always there to prevent love from blossoming. The only solution was to lock them together to break the spell Wednesday Addams had over him.
The perfect opportunity would come that night, at the last bonfire before returning to Paris. The plan was simple: distract Wednesday. Kim, Ivan, and Nino would pretend to kidnap the young witch, taking her away from Tyler. Meanwhile, Rose, the least objectionable of the group to them, would convince Tyler that Wednesday was looking for him in the Arithmancy classroom. Once inside the classroom, they would chain him with magical chains stolen from the Charms class, leaving them trapped together. This way, Tyler would have the chance to get to know Lila better and realize that she was his true love. The plan sounded perfect.
The plot began when Kim, Ivan, and Nino followed Wednesday, waiting for the right moment to carry out their daring plan. Wednesday was with Tyler, silent and with a murderous look from the start. Fortunately, at some point, she went in search of water, and that was the moment they seized. Without screaming or resisting, they placed a black cloth bag over her head and took her by surprise. Then, they took her into the woods, away from the school, and tied her tightly so she couldn't escape.
Finally, they arrived at a small wooden cabin on the outskirts of the forest and decided to lock themselves in with their prisoner. The cabin was filled with drawings of a monster and of Wednesday, which was simply disturbing. Wednesday let out a sinister little laugh that frightened the three French boys.
Meanwhile, Tyler was on a desperate search for his girlfriend, who had been absent for what he considered an excessively long time, and he missed her deeply. He decided to venture into the crowd of people present, scanning faces and figures for a glimpse of the dark hair and the face he loved so much.
However, his search attempt was abruptly interrupted when he collided with a small French blonde. The girl, known for her tendency to cry for any reason, surprisingly wore a smile at that moment, which was a welcome change, as Tyler had an aversion to women who cried like little girls, finding it irritating.
The blonde began speaking at a speed that seemed to defy logic, reciting an apparently endless list of names.
- Tyler, Angela told me, who heard from Dean, who heard from Amber, who heard from Thomas, who heard from Ajax, who heard from Bianca, who heard from Enid, that Wednesday is waiting for you in the Arithmancy classroom - the blonde recited, as if following a complicated pattern of memory that required millimeter precision.
Confusion overwhelmed Tyler. Why would his girlfriend be waiting for him in the Arithmancy classroom? Considering Wednesday's intriguing personality, anything could be possible: from an act of intellectual torture to a mysterious investigation or even a quick and passionate encounter. All three options seemed equally plausible in Tyler's eyes.
Without wasting any more time, he rushed to the Arithmancy classroom, hoping to find his beloved. However, when he reached the door and tried to open it, he was forcefully pushed from the inside by a brunette girl of French origin. The door slammed shut behind him, and as he tried to open it again, he felt intense heat in his hand and smelled the distinctive scent of a protective spell. He was trapped.
- Hello, my love! - greeted Lila with a tone that Tyler found unbearable, while she wore an ugly orange dress. Tyler sighed in frustration and gently banged his head against the door.
- I thought I had already paid for my mistakes. God, give me patience, please - the boy complained as he tried to open the door unsuccessfully. Lila approached him, and the tension in the air became increasingly palpable.
{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}
- Brother, this place makes me nervous - Nino muttered as he looked at the grotesque drawings decorating the walls of the mysterious cabin. One of the drawings, in particular, left him completely embarrassed; it was an explicit depiction of Wednesday in an intimate situation. He decided to keep that drawing, not because he wanted to see it again, but out of a strange sense of respect for Wednesday and Tyler's relationship. However, a doubt arose in his mind: were they really respecting someone else's relationship by continuing with Lila's plan to break up the couple?
Nino reflected on what Nathaniel had told them earlier: Lila was determined to break up a relationship just because she had become obsessed with a guy she wouldn't see after Monday when they returned to Paris. She was acting like a classic home wrecker, and they, somehow, had become her accomplices.
- Guys, this isn't right. What we're doing is completely wrong - he began to say in French, hoping Wednesday wouldn't understand his words. However, his companions didn't seem to hear him as they were busy looking at more drawings of the monster.
- Brother, this is horrifying. What kind of creature is this? - Kim asked, horrified by the images revealing fangs, claws, and details of the creature's anatomy.
- It's a Hyde, Mr. Hyde. My Tyler is a strange and bloodthirsty creature, my beautiful monster - Wednesday replied, revealing her face after removing the bag that covered her head. Her words were filled with an eerie devotion to Tyler's monstrosity.
- Wait, weren't you tied up?- Ivan asked, confused by the situation.
- Idiots like you are the ones giving kidnappings a bad reputation. I untied myself as soon as they tied me to that chair - Wednesday said, fixing her braids and admiring a drawing of Tyler's monster. At that moment, Nino noticed the unusual gleam of love in her eyes as she looked at the image.
- Tyler? - the three French boys exclaimed, surprised and frightened by the revelation.
- Yes, Tyler is an outcast, just like everyone in this school. He's my partner, my perfect killer. Do you know he's killed 18 people, and many of those deaths were for me? Isn't it romantic? He's an artist; he's given me human hearts and bones. He's perfect - Wednesday murmured, caressing the image of her monster in the drawing.
- A killer? - Ivan asked, scared and bewildered. Then he turned to his friends. - Guys, we locked Lila in with a human-eating killer.
- What did you do? - Wednesday shouted, surprised. It was the first time they had seen her show any genuine emotion. - Were you born idiots, or does your teacher train you to be?
The three boys hastily opened the door and rushed into the Arithmancy classroom, with Wednesday close behind, determined to prevent Tyler from harming the foreign bitch. The situation had reached an absurd level they hadn't even anticipated.
{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}
Alya felt like a puppeteer, orchestrating a romantic telenovela-worthy entanglement. She had managed to bring Lila and her supposed true love, Tyler, together, but she still had the task of uniting Adrien and Marinette. Although Marinette seemed to be forming a relationship with the enigmatic blond werewolf, Alya saw no problem in dismantling that relationship if it meant favoring Adrien. She had already overcome the obstacle that Luka posed, so this pathetic werewolf wouldn't be a challenge.
Meanwhile, Rose tried to listen through the classroom, but the chains and the magical padlock prevented any attempt to hear what was happening inside. The girls, along with Adrien, anxiously awaited Lila's message indicating they could open the door and witness the supposed romance blossoming between her and Tyler. It was such a romantic idea that filled their hearts with dreams and fantasies.
Rose couldn't help but share her fantasies as her friends waited expectantly.
- Imagine this, Tyler traveling to Paris to visit Lila? Then they could get married, and all of us would be invited to the wedding. Imagine how many children they'd have; it would be a true fairy tale - Rose sighed, lost in her daydreams. The girls sighed too, caught up in her enthusiasm.
However, this beautiful dream was shattered by the sudden arrival of Nino, Kim, and Ivan, who burst onto the scene shouting and futilely grappling with the closed door. Behind them appeared Wednesday Addams, accompanied by her friends Marinette and Nathaniel, and the teachers Bustier and Weens, who ran after the group, visibly concerned.
Amid the reigning chaos, Alya, bewildered, asked - Nino, sweetheart, what's happening? We shouldn't open the door until our plan works.
Kim's desperate response made everyone even more bewildered. - The plan will never work. All we'll achieve is having Tyler kill Lila for trying to separate him from his destined partner - he shouted, continuing to struggle with the door and burning his hands due to the protective magic of the chains.
Alix, confused, expressed her disbelief. - What are you talking about? Tyler won't kill Lila. He'll fall in love with her, and Wednesday's spell will break.
Ivan, who was helping Kim try to open the door, made a shocking revelation that left everyone stunned. - There's no such spell, Alix. Tyler and Wednesday are destined for each other. Wednesday is the master of his monster, a creature that has killed for her on numerous occasions and will do so again, first with Lila and then with us for trying to destroy their relationship.
Bianca, stating the obvious, said - You won't be able to open that door. You need to break the protection spell.
Nino, frightened, asked -Then why don't you do it?
Alya still didn't fully understand what was happening. She thought it was all some kind of joke to scare them and prevent Lila from getting together with Tyler. However, Weens and Bustier seemed equally concerned about the situation, causing her to doubt her own conclusions.
Bianca explained the reason for her inability to open the door. - I can't. Only a witch with enough power can break this kind of spell, and I don't have that level of skill.
Everyone's gaze then turned to Wednesday, the only witch present at that moment. However, the young woman didn't seem to have any intention of helping Lila.
Adrien, concerned for the Italian, asked, - Aren't you going to help Lila?
Wednesday's response was chilling and left everyone in shock. - No, I'll let the bitch figure it out on her own. This is what she gets for trying to interfere in what's mine. If she had listened to my warning, she wouldn't be in this situation. Tyler will kill her, bathe in her blood, and give me her heart - she murmured, filling the room with a creepy darkness that made the French class tremble in fear. - Or you could beg for forgiveness, on your knees, for trying to separate me from my partner to help your whore friend.
Alya, filled with indignation, exclaimed - We're not going to apologize for helping Lila be with her true love.
Nino elbowed Alya, and Wednesday seemed amused by the situation.
With a macabre smile on her lips, Wednesday warned -Then prepare to bury your remains. After all, I'm not obligated to help.
Faced with this threat, the French boys looked at each other and, one by one, knelt down, begging for forgiveness. Alya was the last to do so, and though she did it reluctantly, she also begged for forgiveness.
Finally, Wednesday approached the chains and recited a spell in an ancient language. The chains loosened, and the door opened, revealing Lila cowering in a corner, terrified, and a two-meter-tall monster roaring and stalking its prey, its mouth filled with sharp fangs and dripping monstrous saliva.
Without wasting time, Wednesday moved quickly to stop her monster, and the scare was enough for Lila to understand the lesson. The monster transformed back into a human, and Tyler thanked his mother-in-law Morticia for enchanting his boxers and pants so they wouldn't be destroyed when he transformed. This prevented him from being completely naked, at least for the moment. Tyler sought comfort in the arms of his girlfriend, who embraced him tenderly.
Wednesday finally separated gently from her boyfriend and gave him a small kiss on the lips. Then, she walked towards Lila with cruel and intimidating steps.
- Listen to me, bitch, Tyler is mine. If you try to separate us again, you won't have to worry about him, because the Addams clan will hunt you down even after your death - Wednesday whispered, with a latent threat in her voice. - There are fates much worse than death, believe me.
With her cruel words echoing in the air, Wednesday and her curly-haired companion left. Lila was helped by her classmates, who, like her, were traumatized by what had happened.
Nathaniel muttered sadly, - I told them, but they didn't listen.
Marinette, trying to calm the waters, replied, - I told you this trip would be fun.
The two friends walked away from Lila and her flying monkeys, leaving behind a trail of confusion and drama.
{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}
Director Weens, with an expression of disapproval that could chill even the warmest heart, rose majestically before the French class, asserting her authority with a seriousness that seemed to weigh on the room like an impending storm. Every word she spoke reverberated in the air as if she were tearing through reality with her reprimand.
- Let me see if I understand this correctly - Director Weens recited, her face etched with frustration and a headache induced by the situation. - You believed it was an excellent idea to try and separate a Hyde from their life partner, even when you were clearly warned about the consequences. All of this just because your friend had a crush on Tyler and claimed that Wednesday had cast a spell on her, without providing a single piece of evidence? So, you not only endangered your friend but also your own lives for the whim of a girl obsessed with a guy who, allow me to repeat, has a life partner and is highly unlikely to ever see her again.
The French class was being scolded and crushed with fury, as if a hurricane of indignation had descended upon them. In the midst of this verbal storm, Nathaniel saw an opportunity to inject some humor into the situation.
- And when I called her a 'home wrecker,' you all pounced on me like hungry lions - Nathaniel replied with humor, accompanied by Marinette, who observed the scene with a clear conscience that they weren't responsible for their classmates' foolishness.
Director Weens continued her speech, with a fury that seemed to grow with each word she uttered.
- You know, I can forgive your foolishness because, deep down, you're just teenagers, but this, this is unheard of. Do you have any idea of the consequences you would have faced if Tyler had harmed that girl? And rightfully so, because one should never separate life partners, let alone a Hyde from their partner. In that case, the world would only be talking about how an outcast had murdered an innocent foreign girl, because, ladies and gentlemen, humans are never to blame; it always falls on us. It doesn't matter that you provoked it, that you pushed him to such an extreme; it will always be our fault. Rules exist for a reason, and you have flagrantly broken them.
While Bustier clung to a glimmer of hope, vainly praying that Weens wouldn't file any formal complaints, Larissa Weens made it clear why she had been appointed as the director of Nevermore, displaying unrelenting firmness in the face of adversity.
- For now, I have decided to advance your return flight to Paris. You will depart tomorrow at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and without a doubt, you will receive news about what has transpired. Now, you may all go to your rooms to pack, but let me warn you that you are strictly prohibited from leaving. Do not provoke me any further.
The French students left the room with bowed heads and defeated spirits. Lila, in tears, lamented the lost opportunity to reunite with her supposed true love, while her friends tried to console her amidst the chaos.
Alya, attempting to inject some hope into the bleak situation, suggested:
Alya tried to console Lila amidst the chaos, suggesting a solution that could get them out of the predicament:
- Don't worry, Lila. Maybe you can talk to Xavier Thorpe, your ex-boyfriend, to help you if the situation gets complicated. After all, he's the son of the famous outcast, Vincent Thorpe - Alya said aloud, trying to find a solution for her friend. But what followed was an unexpected reaction from Marinette and Nathaniel, who burst into uncontrollable laughter, leaving Alya perplexed by their response. However, her confusion didn't last long, as a Nevermore student approached with anger directed at the French students.
- Wait a moment! Is that why everyone has been asking me why I dated you? - the long-haired and handsome Nevermore student shouted furiously, while the Nevermore students could barely contain their laughter at the hilarious unfolding situation. The girls positioned themselves in front of Lila, trying to protect her from what an enraged outcast could do to her defenseless friend. Alya, ever courageous, decided to confront the furious Nevermore student.
- Who the hell are you, and why are you yelling at my friend, you damn lunatic? - Alya yelled angrily, defending Lila with determination. The Nevermore student, known as Xavier Thorpe, didn't hold back and responded with fury.
- I am Xavier Thorpe, the son of the famous outcast, Vincent Thorpe. I've been accused of being this lying bitch's ex-boyfriend. Allow me to clarify, young lady, that I would never in my life date a human, let alone a liar and opportunist like her - the furious young man exclaimed, leaving Lila pale in the face of her lie being exposed.
After his explosive declaration, the Nevermore student turned around and quickly walked away, while the students of his school erupted in laughter and whispered among themselves. Faced with confusion and humiliation, Marinette decided to seize the opportunity to add fuel to the fire.
- Would it be too cruel of me if I said, 'I told you so'? - Marinette asked aloud, with a smug and mocking smile that she shared with Nathaniel, who was also laughing at the situation.
Mylene, completely bewildered by what was happening, tried to get some answers.
- What's going on, Lila? What did that guy mean when he said he was Xavier Thorpe and never had a relationship with you? - Mylene asked, confused and seeking clarification. However, Lila found herself at a crossroads, unsure of how to respond to the uncomfortable truth that was unfolding before everyone. She couldn't admit to the lie, as the Nevermore students would surely accuse her of being a fraud.
Nathaniel, enjoying the spectacle and taking the opportunity to mock the situation even more, interjected with sarcasm:
- What that guy was saying is that Lila is a two-faced lying bitch who deceived all of you.
Marinette, feeling victorious for the revenge that had been exacted, joined in the mockery:
- And how does it feel to have ruined your study trip because of a liar who couldn't even achieve her goal? - Marinette asked, adding a touch of sarcasm to the conversation.
Alya, trying to maintain faith in her friend amid the chaos, made one last defense:
- Lila, it's not true! You didn't lie to us. Lila is not a liar - Alya shouted with conviction. However, she was beginning to doubt the truth of her own words.
Marinette, with a sardonic smile, concluded with an ironic suggestion:
- Are you absolutely sure she's not a liar? Maybe you should start searching on Google. You know, that platform that's actually more reliable than her blog and her words. Perhaps that way, you'll discover the truth. But, you know, as I warned you a long time ago, don't come begging for forgiveness afterward - Marinette added, taking Nathaniel's arm and walking with him to their rooms to pack.
Lila swallowed hard, feeling that her perfect kingdom was on the verge of collapsing under the relentless pursuit of the truth by Google. The French class, filled with indignation, delved into the web in search of information that would support or refute Lila's claims.
In a frantic attempt to find evidence, the students began to question the truth of Lila's stories and anecdotes that they had accepted without doubt for so long. Faces of astonishment and confusion mixed with anger as search results yielded nothing more than the Ladyblog, prompting shouts of fury and a growing demand for explanations.
Adrien, on the other hand, sighed internally as he silently prayed to all known gods, hoping they would understand that he had always known Lila was lying, even though he hadn't said anything at the time. He felt caught in the midst of a storm of emotions as he watched his French friends confront the truth he had long hoped they would discover.
The chaos in the French students' room continued for what felt like an eternity. As they argued and debated over the evidence that supported or refuted Lila's claims, tensions escalated. Some students confronted others with accusations and recriminations, while others tried to calm the situation and seek a logical explanation for what was happening. No one was willing to accept the impending reality, and the atmosphere grew increasingly tense.
{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}{...}
In the midst of the turmoil, Marinette and Nathaniel began to pack their belongings into their respective suitcases. Marinette, with a pensive expression on her face, turned to Nathaniel with a question that had been on her mind.
- Nathaniel, do you think we were too cruel? - Marinette asked as she carefully folded her clothes and placed them in her red suitcase.
Nathaniel, also busy packing his things into a violet suitcase, considered the question before responding calmly:
- Well, considering that this is a salt fics, and we're the heroes, it doesn't really matter if we were a little cruel. At the end of the day, we're fictional characters, and our actions don't have a real impact on anyone. Besides, this is a parody of salt fics, so we shouldn't take it too seriously. At least we're not like the evil characters who get redemption just because the viewers feel sorry for their miserable lives and justify their bad deeds, like Chloe.
Marinette nodded emphatically, sharing her opinion on the disappointing evolution of Chloe's character:
- What they did with Chloe was a real letdown. She was having great character development, realizing that being a mean person to those around her and those who cared for her wouldn't solve her problems. She was becoming a hero, but then they ruined her, reverting her back to her old villainous role without apparent reason. It was a writing disaster. That's why sometimes well-written fanfics are better than the original content. Like 'All the Young Dudes' by MsKingBean89.
Nathaniel couldn't resist chiming in on the debate about "All the Young Dudes" with a bold assertion:
- Let me correct you, Marinette. 'All the Young Dudes' is completely canon. J.K. Rowling doesn't know anything, and I'm 500% sure that ATYD was written by Taylor Swift. I have a lot of unconfirmed evidence, and I have no doubt she's the author of that wonderful saga.
Both of them, with their suitcases ready, prepared to return to Paris, eagerly anticipating the moment when Lila's reign would crumble once they set foot on French soil. The excitement of what awaited them upon their return filled the room as they closed their suitcases and headed into a new chapter of their adventure.
