Alluring Puppy

Summary:

Fang Duobing didn’t mean to attract Di Feisheng’s attention but have to blame Li Lianhua for leaving him alone with him despite warnings about the man.

Notes:

I love the drama that I watched it more than twice. This got me back into writing fics again.

I have so many random AUs in my head for the last few days so I might make several short compilations since I am terrible in updating a series.

Not beta.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Li Xiangyi has complained to him many times about his silent entrance. If he expects Di Feisheng to change, then Li Xiangyi can save his breath. Di Feisheng is not going to change just because Li Xiangyi decided to bring a lost puppy to his place temporarily while he’s out working.

He already has a dog so why another?

However, Di Feisheng was curious about this lost puppy who did not notice his presence and blindly walked into him which startled the puppy that lost his footing when he tried to step back. Di Feisheng quickly grabbed a hold of one of the puppy’s wrists while his other arm snaked around the waist as he pulled him close to his body.

“A—A’Fei!”

The puppy was catching his breath and wiggling through his hold.

How cute.

What was the puppy’s name? Ah . Fang Duobing. Li Xiangyi would usually call him Fang Xiaobao. He wonders how the hell his parents think of a name for their son which explains why he’s called Xiaobao often with some kind of affection.

“A’Fei?”

Di Feisheng glances down with a subtle head tilt. He has never let anyone come this close to him. The only time who has come even this close ended up dead because they were stupid to underestimate his prowess. Forget them. They are not worth remembering. His current interest is Fang Duobing.

A small smile with a hint of amusement in his eyes as Fang Duobing tries to tug his wrist from his grip while wiggling out his hold around his waist. He called out his name with that soft voice.  It sounded nice. He was used to loud voices spatting at him, but this gentle voice had spurred an unusual tickle sensation inside his chest.

Beside Li Xiangyi who would usually called him A’Fei in a teasing manner, he would prefer his Puppy to call by his nickname only with that affectionate voice.

“Xiaobao.”

He felt unusually calm saying the puppy’s nickname. That same tickling feeling continues to grow as if it is being watered when he finds himself staring at Fang Duobing longer.

His breath hitched. That should not happen nor find himself capable of this ridiculous action. So why just seeing Fang Xiaobao looking up at him with his dewy, hazel eyes can affect him this much? He found himself staring back at those glossy gems.

Cute? It’s a definite, but that’s not what he’s thinking of.

Beautiful? Yes, but not the right adjective he was looking for.

Alluring. That’s the word.

Fang Xiaobao is an alluring human. A long-forgotten warmth sings in his meridians when he finds himself taking in a subtle floral scent in Xiaobao’s damp ebony hair before his lips decide to rest on his forehead.

“A–Fei…?” Fang Duobing stutters softly.

His stutters became worse as he watched A’Fei raise his captured wrist, palm side up, close to his nose, and give that same gentle kiss. Li Lianhua had warned him about A’Fei and just being careful with his approach as he can be temperamental before he left. His mind is so lost in this unknown abyss.

“Let me taste you.”

He wonders if A’Fei can hear his heart beating like a marching drum. He has to because Li Lianhua had told Fang Duobing that A’Fei is a vampire.

A very powerful, and ancient vampire named Di Feisheng. The very creature who battled with Legendary Hunter, Li Xiangyi. To this day, no one knows who won between the two men, but many say that Li Xiangyi was defeated and hence, just disappeared 10 years ago.

Li Lianhua had also warned him to never let A’Fei take a single drip of his blood, no matter what.

That last warning is about to be tossed out when he watches those dark dragon slits eyes glancing at him only.

“A’Fei…” It seems it was the only word that Fang Duobing was able to speak out ever since he was caught. His mind is just concentrating on the man in front of him.

He knows Li Xiangyi– no, he goes by as Li Lianhua now had warned his puppy about him. He found it amusing and yet, unbelievable that the once-great Li Xiangyi is now a wolf hiding in sheep’s clothing. He had observed how Li Lianhua’s silver tongue was able to train Fang Duobing some arts of a Hunter and the Puppy can’t even tell he was sprouting lies like candy when giving explanations.

Then again, Puppy had long admiration for Li Xiangyi from what his men had found out when he found out about this sudden stay. How would he react if only he knew who he was staying with? This is something he wants to witness when it comes to blowing in Li Xiangyi’s face.

Di Feisheng is going to let his Puppy know.

“I want you.” Di Feisheng returned his gaze back to Fang Duobing’s wrist, letting the tip of his tongue glide up close to his open palm and kissing it.

His desire sensation awakens, but his rational mind is still stronger. His thrall kept away while still being able to show his true onyx eyes. No one has the privilege to see this side of Di Feisheng, not even Li Xiangyi.

A soft rose blush crept across Puppy’s cheeks as he looked away. He gave a light nod.

“Fang Xiaobao.” He called as he tugged the young man closer. “Words. I want your verbal consent.”

“Yes!” as Fang Duobing buried his warm face onto Di Feishang’s collarbone.

A light chuckle reverberates against soft skin with a rarest smile. Slightly more tilt and at a right angle where his lips can feel where the vein is as his front canines elongate an inch long, he let the tips prick against the visible vein. With quick retraction of his canines, his tongue swept up droplets of blood oozing out slowly while alternating with tiny kisses.

“A’Fei…” his voice sounds so lost and yet, seems blissful.

Di Feisheng’s ears perked to the most beautiful sound and continued to savor such delicious blood. One last kiss to seal the punctured wound, he was going to check on him when the force of a rough pull out of his grasp. He snorted but didn’t really care who it was as he was wiping a tiny piece of blood from his side mouth and licking it clean.

The look on Li Lianhua’s face was priceless. The same determined glare when he was Li Xiangyi who wanted to come out and fight him. In honesty, Di Feisheng did miss that spirit. With his arms crossed, he watched Li Lianhua checking on his precious disciple, with his head down, before telling him to go to his room. He even asked his Fox Spirit dog to follow him to make sure and stand guard unless told otherwise.

“You were supposed to not drag him in.”

Di Feisheng huffed and walked towards Li Lianhua only to stand next to him with a glance.

“Li Xiangyi.”

With a slight head tilt and whispered close enough for him to hear, “It is no longer possible for you to protect him on your own anymore.”

Notes:

I just want to end it like this for your imagination. lol.
