Chapter Text

"They...Will...PAY!!!!" Varian muttered under their breath as they were placed in a cell with an older criminal.

"What are you in for kid?" She asked. Varian ignored her. Their cellmate didn't like that.

"Hey! I ask you a question!" She snapped.

Varian turn around and said, "All I want was to make my dad proud. And I will make him proud, even if it's the last thing I'll ever do."

Lady Caine was speechless, shunned, and impressed.

Then Varian smirk and continued, "My name is Varian, I try to kill everyone."

As he held out their hand for her to shake. One part of her wants to laugh at his face but another part wonders if he's telling the truth. 'This kid is the Insane Alchemist?' But she shook his hand anyways.

"Lady Caine."

It has been two weeks. But somehow news spread that Quirin was released by a strange white-haired warrior named Adira. Quirin visit Varian in prison.

 "Son, the princess told me what you've done." Quirin start out disappoint.

Lady Caine look back and forward at Quirin and Varian. Varian was right, his dad is easily disappointed. 

"I DID WHAT I HAD TO! I HAD NO CHOICE! IT WAS ALL HER FAULT!" Varian argued.

"Varian, it wasn't her fault. And it wasn't yours. But you need to take responsibility for what you done. No father wants to hear that his own son-"

"DAD I'M NOT YOUR SON! I'M YOUR DAUGHTER NOW!"

Then the whole dungeon went silent.

"What do you mean you're not my son?" Quirin asked confused.

"Dad, sometimes I feel like a boy and other times girl or both or neither." Varian explained.

Then Lady Caine felt she should say something on Varian's part. "Come on, Your s-daughter walk through a storm for you. You have to be a little bit proud she had balls."

But Quirin quietly turn and walk away.

Quirin never return. It became clear to Varian that their own father disown them.

"I'm a monster. A freak!" Varian sobbed.

They were betrayed by their own father. 'I'll make HIM pay!' Varian thought. Lady Caine couldn't help but notice just how similar they were. Their fathers were taken even if Varian's disowns Varian because of Gender-fluidity. In fact, Lady Caine can related to that.

"Hey kid-"

"I'M NOT A CHILD!" Varian yelled loud enough to make some of the other tough prisoners flinch. 

"Well are you a boy, girl, both or neither today?" Lady Caine asked like she had been ever since Varian came out as gender-fluid. It had been girl for three days, boy for two days, both for a whole week, and neither for another four/five days.

"A girl." Varian replied.

"Well since you're a girl again, how about a girl name? Since Varian is a boy name." Lady Caine never heard a name like Varian and she thought it was fitting for Varian being unpredictable. No one can imagine a innocent looking child being capable of almost overthrowing Corona. Plus she heard it means 'Chaotic Neutral' in another language.

"I've never thought of that." Varian replied.

"Okay, how about...Victoria?" Lady Caine suggested. Varian made a disgusted face. Lady Caine laughed.

"Alright, I'll take that as a no."

"Violet?" Pete the Guard suggested.

"I like Violetta!" Stan the Guard suggested.

"But it's the same name!" Pete argued. Soon the two guards started bickering.

"Get married you two! Anyways, you can never go wrong with Veronica!" Andrew from the next cell over said.

"How about Vex!" Dwight said.

"There's already a Vex!" Anthony the Weasel argued.

"Yeah, so? There can be number of people with the same thing!" Dwight replied.

"Name other girl with the name Rapunzel?" Anthony demanded.

"I only know one!" Dwight replied. Soon they started to fight.

"I prefer Vanessa." One of the Stabbington Brothers commented.

"BOYS! ENOUGH!" Lady Caine yelled as the whole dungeon went silent.

Then a female voice spoke. "Are you discussing girl names that start with v? Are you expecting?"

Lady Caine and Varian turn and saw the Queen and the Captain.

"Umm, no. You see, *sigh* Varian told me that they're switching between genders and today they're a girl. Sooo, um, yeah." Lady Caine explained.

"Ah, that makes sense. Well, how about....Vivienne?" Arianna suggested.

"Vivienne?" Varian asked.

Queen Arianna smiled and explained, "It means 'Alive' and also the enchantress from the Legend of Merlin."

Varian smiled.

"I like it, my girl name is Vivienne!" Vivienne said with more confident.

Rapunzel heard from her mother how Varian is gender-fluid while visiting them at dinner.

"It seems Lady Caine supports them. In fact all of the criminals, Pete, and Stan were trying to find a girl name for Varian. So for now she's Vivienne."

"What's gender-fluid?" Rapunzel asked.

"It means a person can feel like a boy, girl, both, or neither." Her mother explains. Rapunzel's eyes grew wide in amazement. Later that night, she work on her gift for Vivienne.

The next day company by Eugene, Rapunzel visit Vivienne.

"Hi Vivienne!" Rapunzel greeted cheerfully. Vivienne looked up surprised.

"I made you bracelets!" Rapunzel said revealing three colored bracelets.

"Umm, thanks I guess?" Vivienne felt to awkward to be mad at Rapunzel anymore.

"No problem! So the blue one is when you feel like a boy, the purple is for both or neither, and the pink is for-"

"Girl! We get it Princess." Lady Caine dryly replied.

Vivienne slipped the pink one on. She couldn't believe it! Was Rapunzel actually being supportive of this? Was she her friend along?

"T-Thank you, so m-much, R-Rapunzel! I-I'm S-S-Sorry that I-" Vivienne sobbed.

"Woah, woah, kid! I-er mean Vivienne, please don't cry."

Then the most amazing yet unsuspecting thing happened. Lady Caine slowly walk over and hugged Vivienne.

"Come on, chin up girl." Lady Caine said.

Eugene could only stare in pure shock while Rapunzel was smiling. Maybe Lady Caine isn't as bad as they thought. Maybe she isn't completely heartless. Maybe she can be redeem like Vivienne! It gave Rapunzel hope again at her belief of goodness inside of everyone.

Chapter Text

Vivienne couldn't be anymore happier than when Rapunzel took her dress shopping. Vivienne was still trying to be more confident being Gender-fluid but not many of the kingdom were as supportive as her was and Quirin was still...well, he's not discouraging but he's also not accepting right away. As far as Quirin is concern, he thinks this might be some sort of phase even if Vivienne told him countless times,

"It's not a phase dad!"

Vivienne was even doubting he should be himself but Rapunzel was a different kind of person. Vivienne thought she was tell he that he's confused but no. Rapunzel was not the type of person to judge nor tell someone their dreams are impossible.

They entered the shop, Vivienne felt like a kid in a Monty's Sweet Shop. The lady owner smiled at Princess Rapunzel.

"Hello Princess." As she bow, but Rapunzel told her it wasn't necessarily.

"How may I help you?" She asked Rapunzel cheerfully.

"I need a dress for Vivienne. Is there any for their size?" Rapunzel replied. But the minute Rapunzel gestured to Vivienne by her side, the lady owner's smile slowly faded because to her, it was Varian.

"I'm sorry, I don't have any in his-" Rapunzel irrupted her.

"Hers."

"I beg your pardon?"

"Varian and Vivienne are both a boy and girl. So, it's theirs. But for today, Vivienne is a girl." Rapunzel corrected as she gestured to the pink bracelet however the lady owner whom quickly say,

"We're closed!"

"But we just walked in!" Rapunzel tried to argue because Vivienne was too shy to speak up. The lady owner insists they leave, soon Rapunzel and Vivienne walked back to the castle. While they were walking, Vivienne felt guilty.

"I'm sorry Rapunzel."

"Please don't apologize for being you, Vivienne. If anything that lady should apologized."

Then an idea hit her.

"You know what? I'll just make a dress for you Vivienne."

Vivienne smiled. "Thanks Rapunzel."

Sometime later while Rapunzel was finishing up the dress for Vivienne, she talk to Eugene about what about today.

"...And then she said, I'm sorry but we're closed! I mean, why are some people in this kingdom this rude because someone is both or either genders! I swear Eugene, it's like Monty all over again!"

"Well Sweetheart, there are just some people in this world that will say stuff and not changed their opinions. It's just the way the world works." Eugene feeling sorry for her.

"What about Quirin? What if-" Eugene tilted her head so she looking straight into his eyes.

"Sunshine listen, I don't think Quirin is like that. I think he's confused and frustrated at himself because he's old tradition. He cares about them as much as we do but he's just from a different generation. He wants to support them and protect them but this subject kind of conflicts his beliefs." Eugene explains.

"How do you know this?" Rapunzel asked. Eugene blushed as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Well, I observe stuff." He chuckled. Rapunzel giggled, kissed his cheek, and smiled as she went back to work with Vivienne's dress.

"Ah! Done! Vivienne!" Rapunzel called for Vivienne. An half hour later, Vivienne arrived as Rapunzel show them their dress. It was the most beautiful dress Vivienne has ever seen. The trims and straps were the same color as their shirt, the spaghetti straps and the outside most of the dress was brown. The spaghetti straps from inside of the front dedicates Vivienne that it was there in case the other one were loose and slip off his shoulders. Vivienne smiled from ear to ear.

"I LOVE it! Thank you so much Rapunzel!" Vivienne said. She  decides to put the dress on right away. Five minutes later, Vivienne came out wearing the dress and her pink bracelet. They gave a twirl and started dancing. They were so happy that they weren't paying attention and trip themselves. Vivienne tumble and fell. Eugene and Rapunzel went to their aid and ask if they were alright. But Vivienne just looked up and smiled at them.

Of  course, Queen Arianna heard of how Rapunzel made Vivienne a dress to wear because the shop lady refuses to serve them. While she wanted to let Vivienne keep the dress as her own, Arianna was worried that the dress would be ruined in the dungeon. So she made quick arrangements  for Vivienne to have Cassandra's room. 

Vivienne was dancing and twirling on her toes when she bump into the Captain.

"Oh uh-sorry!" Vivienne said. But the Captain assured her it was fine and asked for her to follow him. Vivienne didn't know why but she obey and follow the Captain. Vivienne was surprised to be greeted by Arianna in her study room.

"Arianna?" Vivienne said in confusion. Arianna smiled.

"Hello Vivienne care to have some tea?"

The next day, Rapunzel decides to talk to Lady Caine. She walk down into the dungeon carrying a little present. When she got to Lady Caine's cell, Lady Caine looked up and noticed Rapunzel. They stared each other in dead awkward silence.

"So, um, how's...uh..." Lady Caine started but of course they didn't come back to the dungeon for two days.

"Varian? He's doing good! Woke up this and said he's a boy for a while. He's even wearing the blue bracelet I gave him." Rapunzel replied.

"Good." Lady Caine was curious what's behind Rapunzel's back. Until Rapunzel revealed it, it was the silly pirate hat she wore when Lady Caine made Eugene and Max walk the plank. The type of hat little kids wore when playing pretend pirates. Lady Caine looked at her confused whether or not she should be flattered or highly offended.

"I, figured that since you're a pirate that you should have a hat to make you look more pirate-like. In hence, TA-DA!"

Lady Caine heard Andrew snickering from his cell. 'Just wait Andrew. The first thing I'm gonna do when I get out, kick your balls.'

"You know, some pirates don't have to look like pirates. It's the deeds on the High Seas, Princess." Lady Caine point out. But when Rapunzel blushed, Lady Caine it was kind of cute. 'Wait....WHAT THE HELL! There's no way I should find the princess cute!' Lady Caine scowled at herself.

"Call me Rapunzel." Her hand stuck out for Lady Caine. She figured what the hell and shake Rapunzel's hand. 

"By the way, I like your necklace. I bet the hat matches with your necklace." Rapunzel said. Lady Caine look down at her skull necklace.

"It was from my old lover."

"Can you tell me about him?"

"My Rosie was the fastest pick-pocking pirate that ever lived. No guard could catch her. She and I were always on the run together." Lady Caine explained.

But Rapunzel looked confused. "You...date another woman? I didn't know you could do that."

"Well, it's frown down upon in many places." Lady Caine explained. Suddenly Rapunzel remembered how the shop lady refused to help pick a dress for Varian/Vivienne.

"But why?"

"Because it's considered immoral. But of course, people misuse religion for power sometimes." Rapunzel couldn't believe that many think being with your true love is a crime because it goes against their beliefs. Then Rapunzel begins to explain to Lady Caine why she was taken in the first place. After she was done, Lady Caine could only stare at her in a blink expression. Finally after a while,

"So, let me see if I got this right. The reason you were stolen in the dead of night and then locked in a hidden tower for 18 years, all because your hair is the 'Fountain of Youth'?"

Rapunzel nodded.

"I can't what that must been like growing up, not knowing you were a prisoner until someone came along and rescued you." 

"Well, more like help me see things clearly. So it's also why Cassandra betrayed me. Gothel was her mother and she chose me over Cassandra."

"No, I don't think that's it. I mean the way I see it, she chose immortality over you and Cassandra. You was using you to keep her youth forever right?" Rapunzel didn't know where she was going with this but nodded in agreement.

"Then that's it! She never cared about you or Cassandra. So I guess Cassandra betray you for nothing."

"But we were close like sisters. We WERE sisters." 

"Maybe she still likes you. But more than just friends or sisters."

"You mean....Cassandra is in love with me?"

"I wouldn't blame her. I'll keep my mouth shut but that doesn't I'm not allowed to have a secret lesbian crush on a pretty girl." 'Like the princess?' Lady Caine's mind sneered. Then Lady Caine took off her necklace and held it out for Rapunzel. 

"But it's the necklace Rosie gave you. Wouldn't she be hurt?"

"Eventually she was caught...by Death. Take the necklace, I'll keep the hat as a gift. And you're not getting it back." Rapunzel and Lady Caine traded. Rapunzel put on the necklace and smiled.

"Thank you." But for some weird reason, Rapunzel like she want to kiss Lady Caine. And so she did, it was a quick but sweet and warm kiss. Lady Caine was shunned as she placed her hand over her lips where Rapunzel kissed her.

"Um, why did you do that?"

"I just want to...I honestly don't know. I have to go now. Thanks for the necklace...and the kiss."

"Erm, you're welcome." Lady Caine was speechless. She was just KISSED by Princess Rapunzel of Corona on the lips! 'Not now, lesbian thoughts.'  

Chapter Text

It's been a month since Quirin last talk to Varian. And he still felt guilty. Varian was his child for the crying out loud! Quirin sacrifice his own safety for Varian. Quirin found himself lost in thought about going back and apologize to Varian. Then three familiar people walk towards Quirin. Quirin shook his head and did a double take.

"Adira? Hector? King Edmund?" His brother, sister, and King Edmund stood before him.

"Hello Quirin. If you would be so kind to take a break and journey with us to the castle?" Edmund suggested.

"But Hector told me you were dying." Quirin replied.

"Hector! Quit telling people I'm dead!" Edmund snapped at Hector but only Hector to look completely bored and said,

"This is from the deepest corners of my heart: Opps! My bad!"

Adira and Quirin face palm.

Along the way, Quirin told them about Varian and if he should apologize.

"Quirin do you recall how Hector teased me for being the only woman in the Brotherhood?" Adira said.

"Adira, Hector single-handly started a war between multiple kingdoms."

"HEY! For your information, those Saporians mocked my Bear-Cats!" Hector argued.

"Not once did you dismiss of my gender. If it's who Varian is, shouldn't you be proud for him being him?" Adira said. Quirin knew Adira was right. He must apologize to Varian.

At the palace, Rapunzel greeted them. But Edmund saw how upset his son look. So he and Eugene went off to catch up and find out what's bothering him.

"Eugene, I couldn't help but notice that your girlfriend is wearing a necklace."

"Yeah and it's Lady Caine's. I swear! I should've went down there to prevent them-Rapunzel told me that she kiss her and she doesn't know why!" Edmund was surprised but still want to help.

"I believe Rapunzel still loves you, she just is passionate about everyone and everything."

"But-"

"Don't question your love, your faith for her."

Eugene knew that Rapunzel will always love him no matter what.

"You're right I shouldn't question it."

After all,  Eugene used to date Staylan before falling in love with Rapunzel.

Quirin and Varian were finally alone. Quirin knew this was his only chance to fix his mistakes. Varian was still wearing blue, so he's a boy.

"Son, I'm sorry. I just want to protect you. But maybe I failed as a parent." Varian shook his head.

"No Dad, it was my fault. I've should listen to you and tell you but I was afraid you'll disown me." 

"Varian, I'm proud to be your father." Quirin hugged his son like he was afraid Varian would be taken away forever.

"I love you son!"

"I love you too Dad!"

Quirin introduce Varian to Hector and Adira.

"Why is he scrawny?" Hector asked.

Quirin swear that there were times where he wonder how he put up with Hector's non-sense.

"He got it from his mom." Adira answered. But while Hector and Adira butt heads, they took turns spending time with their nephew/niece. Varian show them his hobby alchemy and while they weren't scientists but they still enjoy listen to him talk unless it was about his/her crush on Flynn Rider. But they understand that Varian took a shine to swordsmanship. Adira taught him sword fighting while Hector taught him how to train larger wild animals. At dinner time, things were awkward.

"I told you Adira! That someone was gonna use the moonstone for dark purposes."

"Hector, that's not your place."

At least Eugene was in a better mood.

"I would like to share this with all of you that the King from Demark will be coming in a few days time and he'll be bringing his daughter, Princess Regina." Frederic announced but had a cringing face.

Chapter Text

Everyone waited at the docks as the Royal Denmark family sail into the harbor and disembark their ship. The King and his daughter about Varian's age.

"Welcome to Corona. We're delighted to have you here." Frederic said to the king with a forced smile.

Varian want to snicker at Frederic lying to another king's face but they didn't. That's right, they're wearing a purple bracelet today. 

"yes and my daughter, Regina is overjoyed." The King replied gesturing to Regina but she look like she didn't even want to come here.

"Hi, I'm Princess Rapunzel. It's nice to meet you!" Rapunzel said to Regina.

"Rapunzel? You're named after a cabbage? HAHAHA!!! I wonder what's your middle name? Anyways, I'm here to find a boyfriend!" Regina sneered. Right away Rapunzel, Varian, Eugene, and even the criminals knew why Frederic did not look forward to this. 'Is this Trevor's long-lost daughter?' 

"Please come this way, we'll have tea and discuss becoming trading partners." Arianna said leading her husband and Regina's father to the local café with everyone else except Varian and Regina following them.

Varian and Regina were left alone. Suddenly Regina stomp towards Varian, smiling menacingly, and Varian's face paled with pure fear as she shadow over him.

"Finally! I've been here for a couple of minutes and already I've finally found my new boyfriend! You're coming home with me!" Regina said.

"AAAHHHH!!!!" Varian screamed in terror. Suddenly Andrew and the Saporians pluck him up as they ran by.

"HEY! GET BACK HERE WITH MY BOYFRIEND!" Regina yelled as she ran after them.

"Thank you for saving my skin!" Varian said.

"Thank us later when we're not being chased by Princess Crazytown!" Andrew said before Lady Caine swing down and pluck Varian from Andrew's arms and swing back on a stolen ship.

"Hey! That's not fair! We had them first!" Andrew yelled after Lady Caine.

"Opps, sorry! Hahaha!" Lady Caine mocked as she wave bye sarcastically.

Regina caught up to the Saporians, jump up on Andrew's back and begin pulling his man-bun. Andrew cried out in pain.

"WHERE'S MY BOYFRIEND?" Regina demanded.

Andrew pointed to Lady Caine's ship. Regina ran towards the ship. Then without warning, Adira pluck Varian while muffling his surprise yelp and jump off the ship. Regina swam and climb aboard.

"WHERE IS MY BOYFRIEND?" Regina demanded grabbing Pocket's collar and shaking him like a rag-doll.

Pocket points to Adira. Regina lets go, jumps back into the water, swam towards shore, and ran after Adira. The Saporians ran pass the ship but Lady Caine and her crew quick disembark and ran to catch up with them. Adira was running with Varian over her shoulder. But then Hector appear riding on his rhino out of nowhere, ram Adira aside, and while plucking Varian on his saddle.

"You better hold on, boy." Hector said.

"Um *cough* excuse me but aren't you forgetting something?" Varian replied sarcastically, holding their right wrist where their purple bracelet is.

"And, uh, or girl." Hector quickly correct himself.

"Thank you!"

After Adira regain herself, she saw Regina, the Saporians, Lady Caine, and her crew running after Hector and Varian. Then she got up and ran after them. Just when Hector thinks he's unstoppable, the Stabbington Brothers tripwire Hector's rhino causing Hector and his rhino to flew into Monty's Sweet Shop.

"Hey! You're gonna pay for all the damages!" Monty said.

But Hector respond by threatening Monty his wrist-mounted sword.

Monty's face paled. "Uh, never-mind."

Hector got up to see the Stabbington Brothers running off with Varian. Then he sees Regina, the Saporians, Lady Caine with her crew, and Adira who stop for a second to punch Hector in the face before running off after the Stabbington brothers and Varian. But Hector quickly got back and ran after them.

"We lost them!" One of the brothers said.

"Um, can you guys put me down please? I'm gonna hurl." Varian asked. Varian felt so dizzy from people trying to save them from Regina.

"Sorry kid, try to hold it for a little longer." He replied.

But their path was block by Staylan while Anthony and Dwight pick pock the two brothers as a distraction. Staylan lifted Varian bride style unlike how the others carried them. She ran like both of their lives depends on it. Staylan made it to Rapunzel and Eugene whom she quickly explain the situation right before the Saporians, Lady Caine with her crew, Adira, Hector and the Stabbington brothers finally catch up and begin arguing all at once. Then Rapunzel got on the table on yelled

"ENOUGH! YOU ALL ARE WORKING TOWARDS ONE GOAL! AND GOAL IS VARIAN! SO WHY CAN'T YOU ALL WORK TOGETHER?" Rapunzel yelled.

Then they felt a little silly but yet guilty for thinking reckless.

"Yeah and speaking of saving...I COULD USE A LITTLE HELP HERE!!!!!" Varian yelled as they're being carried by Regina.

All of them ran after them.

"This is my new boyfriend daddy!" Regina said full of arrogance.

"I'M NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND!!!" Varian yelled.

"SHUT UP! Yes you are!" Regina demanded.

Both Frederic and Arianna were so freaking uncomfortable.

"Stop! Varian is not your boyfriend nor your property. Varian is their own person!" Rapunzel said.

"Their?! That's utter nonsense! If my daughter wants a boyfriend, then she'll have-"

"I'm sorry but I'm afraid Rapunzel is right. Please have Princess Regina release Varian." Frederic said with more confidence.

"Frederic! Be reasonable! There's no need to insult my daughter!"

"Well, it's been long overdue!" Lady Caine said with a smug smirk.

"Well I'll never! Regina! We're leaving and never coming back!"

"But Daddy!" Varian released from Regina's grasp by the help of the guards.

"Thanks Lady Caine, Rapunzel." Varian said.

Chapter Text

"New Saporia will SOON be ours!" Andrew declared.

"Andrew, I'm sending Frederic somewhere to be locked up in a cage like he did to my father for the rest of his pathetic life!" Lady Caine argued. 

"You can't do that! New Saporia needs a king! Where are we going to find a new king?" Andrew argued.

"I'm sure Eugene's dad can fit the bill." Lady Caine offered.

"You mean that wacko who can't help but speak his thoughts out-loud?" Andrew mocked.

"HEY! Although you're right about him speaking his thoughts out-loud, LEAVE MY DAD OUT OF THIS!" 

"You know I'm still waiting for him to explain that He's a prince!" Staylan said.

Just then, Varian or Vivienne appeared (Because she's wearing pink since Rapunzel gave her the bracelets) but she wasn't wearing the dress Rapunzel made for her nor boy clothes either.

"Uhh, Vivienne, what are you wearing?" Eugene asked.

"Yeah! How are you gonna help us Saporians takeover Corona for New Saporia?"

"I'll still help either of you guys...if you guys take me to dance class since I'm already late, I could use a ride." Vivienne replied.

"All of us?" Lance asked as Vivienne nodded.

"Well sorry but actually, you're going have to skip the dance class today." Lady Caine told Vivienne.

"Actually I can't skip dance class today. I have a big recital  coming up, The Nutcracker." Vivienne explained.

"I'll take you Vivienne." Rapunzel volunteer.

"No! I'm not helping you take over nor saving Corona until you guys take me to dance class." Vivienne firmly said while crossing her arms.

Lady Caine was getting impatient. "Pff, there is no way I'm going sit through some boring class and-"

"And Pile', releve'! And then port de bras. Again Pile', releve', Pile', releve'...Tondu', Passe', Coupe'" The Dance Instructor said. That's right, Vivienne was able to convince them to go. Lady Caine don't know if she should be impress the kid got some damn good persuasive skills then Lady Caine thought or pissed that she now had to sit for what seem like hours. Staylan sneak liquor in the Dance School but Eugene quickly took it away before she could have a sip. Rapunzel however was happy to be there and Vivienne dance. Vivienne was showing off how flexible she was.

"Wow! You know you guys, I've notice that there's only one other boy in Vivienne's school." Rapunzel said.

"Well Sunshine, umm, you see-" Eugene before Lady Caine irrupted.

"Most people think Ballet is for girls."

Rapunzel's smile immediately wipe off. Why was there Gender Roles?

Just then Vivienne shown up but while showing off her dance skills and hand out each of them a ticket.

"You guys are coming right?" Vivienne asked in a almost soft feminine voice.

Lady Caine wanted to say that she'll come when Hell freezes over. But instead she said, "I guess. Both of my legs are numb since I've been sitting here." Vivienne smiled and went back to class.

Staylan punch Andrew in the arm to using Vivienne's practice class as an excuse to flirt and pick up chicks.

It was the big night! All -erm, most of them dressed formally. Varian (Purple Bracelet) put on quite a show as the Nutcracker that in the play was the toy that magically grows life-size. Rapunzel just wished Quirin would be willing to come see Varian but he declined. They applauded  when Varian and the other ballets took a bow. After the show was over, Rapunzel suggest dining at the Snuggling Duck Pug as Varian's treat.

Lady Caine teased Varian, "You know I'm wondering how you were so graceful as a gazelle yet so clumsy in your lab?"

They all laugh.

It had been a peaceful week in Corona...that is until a strange woman who calls herself Creighton and claims she's Witch Hunter tracking down those she believes to be witches and destroying them.

"I heard rumors about a warlock or a wizard right here in Corona." She told Rapunzel, Eugene, Lady Caine, Staylan, Lance, and Andrew whom they looked at each other with concern.

They knew who she was talking about: Varian!

"Creighton, I'm the Princess of Corona and as princess, you will NOT be destroying anything in MY kingdom." Rapunzel warned Creighton.

However not too long after they threw her out of the castle, apparently Creighton was able to gather a small group frighten villagers whom they believe Varian does NOT deserve to live among them. "HANG THE WARLOCK! HANG THE WARLOCK! HANG THE WARLOCK!"

Rapunzel and the gang traveled to Old Corona, to warn Quirin and Varian before the mob gets there first!

Once Rapunzel and the gang returns with Quirin and Varian whom recently discovered he had magical moon powers as Varian's hair was glowing like Cassandra's when they arrive to his house. Rapunzel realized her destiny was never to grab the moonstone and it wasn't Cassandra's either...it was Varian's destiny and that they were suppose to balance each other. Rapunzel was the sun and Varian was the moon. Suddenly more black rocks appear and Cassandra was standing before them. Cassandra looked at Varian with pure shock, hurt, and anger all at once.

"HOW DARE YOU VARIAN?! JUST LIKE RAPUNZEL, STEALING MY DESTINY!" Cassandra boom.

Varian decided not to back down. 

"Pff, like how it's your destiny to use your powers to get what you want? BBBUUTT, you're still heisting?" Varian replied in a challenging tone. He (Yes, Varian's wearing blue again) noticed Cassandra's eyes widen with fear of the truth in front of her.

"What do you mean? It's always-"

"What? Trying to spend the first four years impressing someone whom eventually toss you like yesterday's trash? Wow, that's real genius!" Varian telling Cassandra the cold hard truth.

Even Andrew and Lady Caine flinched as Varian had been known to be brutally honest.

"WHAT DO YOU KNOW? MY OWN MOTHER THROW ME ASIDE FOR RAPUNZEL!"

"Tsk-tsk correction, you still trying to be a good daughter to a someone whom care about beauty and youth more than being a mother. But let's be honest, Cassie...How do you think your 'mother' will still accepts you if you destroy Rapunzel right here right now?" Everyone including Captain of the Guards whom just arrive to the scene saw Cassandra's hand while holding the Shadow Blade begin to shake.

"W-Wel-ll, It-It's m-my, destiny!" Cassandra trying to sound brave but instead sound like she was on the verge of tears.

"Oh please! Spare your stupid excuses, you're still holding back! If you weren't then Rapunzel would be dead right now." Varian said while rolling his eyes.

Cassandra's newfound power was growing weaker and weaker each time Varian gets closer to the truth...and it's the one thing Cassandra is more afraid than anything. "I'M N-Not HOLDING ANYTHING B-BACK! I'M DONE HOLDING BACK!"

Varian smirk when Cassandra flinch. "Now you're a rotten liar Cassie, just admit it...You LOVE Rapunzel, don't ya?"

There it was, The Truth...and finally after what seem like time stood still,

"YES! YOU'RE RIGHT VARIAN! I'M IN LOVE WITH PRINCESS RAPUNZEL! I'M A LESBIAN!" Cassandra finally broke down in tears. Captain ran towards her side and pulled her into a hug.

Then the Enchanted Girl shape-shirt into Mother Gothel herself! "YOU'RE DEAD MOON CHILD!"

Just then Creighton and the small mob arrive and soon the fight broke out. Rapunzel and Varian join hands and begin to sing their songs.

[Rapunzel: Flower, gleam and glow

Let your power shine

[Varian: Wither and decay]

[Make the clock reserve

Bring back what once was mine]

[End this destiny]

[Rapunzel: Heal what has been hurt]

Change the Fates' design]

[Varian: Break these Earthly chains]

[Rapunzel: Save what has been lost

[Varian: And set the spirit free]

[Rapunzel & Varian together: What once was mine/The spirit free]

And at the last note cause the moonstone ripped out of Cassandra! As she cry out in pain before passing out, a vortex or sort of a black hole-like portal was create to banish Gothel from this realm and back into the demon realm. After the portal closed, the moonstone crack in two.

Despite all of after, Creighton aim her crossbow at Rapunzel and Varian. But before she could shoot Lady Caine step in front.

"Hey Miss Pirate, Move!"

"Sure, over my cold dead body. There's a reason why roses have thorns."

Luckily, it turns out Creighton was a bit of a coward and ran out of Corona and never return.

Chapter Text

Everyone gather around Cassandra's motionless body. The Captain was crying as his only adoptive daughter was unresponsive. But just as they fear the worst, Cassandra unconsciously started coughing fits.

"CASS! Please! WAKE UP!" Rapunzel begged. Lady Caine push Rapunzel out of the way.

"BREATH CASSANDRA!" Lady Caine yelled in a panic like tone.

Then she had an idea. A totally insane but might work idea! Lady Caine tilt Cassandra's head, pinch her nose, and her chin as Lady Caine's face move closer.

"Umm, Caine? What are you doing?" Eugene asked.

Lady Caine's lips pressed against Casssandra's lips as a bright light engulfs them. Cassandra was wake. Rapunzel hugged Lady Caine and thanking her for saving Cass' life.

The next two weeks later, Eugene and Rapunzel were getting married. Lady Caine was pardon from her crimes by not only saving Cassandra's life but also Rapunzel and Varian's life. At the wedding, Lady Caine noticed Cassandra sneaking off and decides to follow her. Lady Caine saw Cassandra peering around the doorway and when the priest said,

Cassandra's dam broke. Lady Caine felt sorry that Cassandra was so madly in love with Rapunzel. That's why she left because to her, it was too painful to watch. But Lady Caine Cassandra to know that she can still love. She walk up and stood next to her.

"I'm sorry." Lady Caine said.

Cassandra quickly wiped the tears from her eyes in a attempt to remain strong. "It's fine! I knew I could never had a chance with her anyways. Now I don't know what to do. I mean, I want to still be a warrior but I don't know where to go."

Lady Caine tried to cheer her up.

"You know, I could always use a first mate." Lady Caine said teasingly.

Cassandra couldn't help but giggle with her. Then they stare each other in awkward silence.

"I've never got the chance to say thank you for saving my life." Cassandra said.

"Or are you thanking me for kissing you?"

Even though she said it as joke, but they both knew that she was asking Cassandra if she can kiss her again. Their fingers intertwine, blushing like crazy, both their hearts racing as their lips grew closer and closer. They closed their eyes and enjoying their embrace. After they stop to catch their breath, 

"Wow, I think I'll get over Rapunzel."

"Call me Agatha or Aggie for short."

[Rapunzel: Sometimes, following your destiny isn't always gonna be what you expect.]

At the reception, Rapunzel doing the bouquet toss and it lands...[If there's anything I learn is that, no matter what life throws at you] in Agatha's hands. Then Agatha look at Cassandra and they both smiled. [Agatha gave up piracy and she and Cass started dating.]

Varian (purple bracelet) was dancing on the dance when they accidentally step on their dress (the same one Rapunzel made for them) and trip. They would have hit the floor if two strong yet gentle arms were holding them around their waist. They looked up and realized this boy around their age that goes to their dance school. It was Altair!

"M'lord."Varian said.

[Altair is from a rich family but he's like me, he HATES the rules. Varian /Vivienne and Altair dated until they both turn eighteen and got married. Even if Altair's family disapproves his marriage with Varian/Vivienne.]

"It was a tragic ending of a love triangle!" Lance said while crying at a table where Edmund, Arianna, Frederic, Quirin, and Hector were sitting.

"But I wouldn't blame her!" As he turns to see Adira happily munching on some cake that Eugene and Rapunzel hadn't even cut yet. But then Lance stop crying when he saw Andrew with his hair down and sitting next to Staylan and her father as they were guests of the wedding. Lance walk over to them. But Andrew knew that Lance found him attractive and Andrew doesn't mind one bit since he's bisexual. 

[While Andrew and Lance dated each other, Andrew and Staylan eventually got married and the Baron gave Andrew a new anchor of land where it's now called New Saporia. After Lady Caine quit piracy, her crew decided to move to New Saporia to start fresh.] Rapunzel and Eugene were getting in the carriage and were leaving for their honeymoon. [I've been told this once: If you see someone fall, pick them back up. But I think even if the person is capable of picking themselves back up, you should always still be by their side.]
