   Summary

   It felt like they were driving into the sun, bright and insufferably hot. That’s how it felt in California. Sure, there were less than sunny days, there were days filled with clouds and rain, but they were far and few between the sunshine. He always felt like he was constantly getting sunburned and there was something in his skin that kept him from tanning. Always red, always flushed, always uncomfortable.
