Ed and Stede have been together for months but are yet to consummate their relationship, and not through lack of trying. The problem is that every time they get close, Stede tenses up. And he wants things to go further, he really does, but with his only frame of reference for intimacy being his loveless marriage with Mary and never knowing what it is to be desired until he met Ed, Stede feels self-conscious. The thought of Ed seeing him naked or touching him intimately sends him into a panic about not being good enough, and how are they ever supposed to be intimate when Stede struggles with that?
Luckily, Ed has a creative solution.
