Hours had passed since he found Neuvillette.
Morax thought he would find him where he found him, and he did – quivering and sobbing near the skeletal corpse of Elynas, clutching at his belly, head pushed into the crook of his arm.
The travel to his lands was brief, but the journey back was long. Neuvillette was but a child and thus easy to carry in his arms at any other time when he wasn’t big at the belly and heavier because of it, not overtaken by hysterical emotion, and not in a state of utter refusal to simply obey.
Neuvillette is full of eggs. Luckily, Morax is there for him when it's time for them to come out. After all, he is responsible for putting them in there.
