Imposter Syndrome: Himiko Toga's Totally Cute Infiltration Plan! <3

Summary:

“Shiggy!” Himiko cheers. “I did it! I snuck in and attended classes with 1-A all day and nobody suspected a thing!”

“Wait, seriously?” Shiggy says, flabbergasted. “How the fuck- I mean, great job. Woo. Did you get any information about the class that we can exploit?”

AKA, Himiko Toga infiltrates U.A. as a secret mission from Shigaraki. Unluckily, she's more than a little insane and very out of practice about how normal humans act. Luckily, Class 1-A decides that they can probably fix her.

Chapter Text

Denki Kaminari stumbles blearily down the stairs of the Heights Alliance dorms and pads to the fridge, pulling out a carton of milk.

“‘Morning,” he grumbles, greeting Mina Ashido.

“Good morning!” she says, beaming widely, as she passes him the box of All Might: Mighty Crunch! cereal.

“‘Morning,” he greets to the next person sitting at the bar, Katsuki Bakugo, who just grunts in return.

Denki pulls out a bowl and spoon from the cabinets, pouring cereal and milk into the bowl at the same time (the only correct way, you heathens!) and adding a spoon.

“‘Morning,” he mutters tiredly to the girl on the other side of Ashido, who remains face-down on the counter.

“Hrrmglfirigb,” Kyoka Jiro returns, her hand clutching a mug of coffee like a lifeline.

“‘Morning,” he says to the final member of the bar, rubbing his eyes as he picks up his bowl and moves to an empty seat at the nearby table.

“Good morning!” returns Katsuki Bakugo cheerfully.

Denki sets his breakfast down and takes a bite of cereal before pausing. “Wait, wha-”

Mina Ashido hurriedly lunges at the boy and slaps a hand over his mouth. “WHY YES KAMINARI I WOULD LOVE TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT VERY BORING UNIMPORTANT THINGS IN THE LAUNDRY ROOM!”

In the next room over…

Denki puts both hands to his temple. “That’s Himiko Toga, right? That League of Villains member Mr. Aizawa told us to look out for? I’m not seeing things? Again?”

“Well, we’re pretty sure it is!” Mina Ashido says, her legs swinging back and forth from her perch on top of the washing machine. “That or it’s an alternate-universe opposite doppelganger of Bakugo, but everyone else shot down that idea.”

Kaminari claps his hands together before pointing them at Ashido. “And we’re not concerned about this, why?”

“Well, it all started last night,” Mina begins to explain…

Ochako Uraraka’s thoughts churned in her mind as she sits on the couch, mulling over…

“Is something the matter, ribbit?” her friend, Tsuyu Asui, asks, breaking through her haze of indecision.

“Huh?” Ochako asks. “Oh, yeah, sorry!” she apologies to the lounge at large- consisting of the girls of Class 1-A, who decided to have a Girl’s Night and thus kicked the boys out for the evening. “I’ve just been distracted recently,” she explains, casting her gaze around to the rest of the girls, each spread out among the couches of the room. “Y’know, after Kamino and the Training Camp, it’s just…”

“Is this about that girl again?” Tsu asks, rubbing her chin. “I’ve told you to stop thinking about her, Ochako.”

“Ooh, ooh! What girl?” Ashido asks as she leans forward in her seat, always ready for new gossip.

Tsu narrows her eyes. “The girl that tried to stab us at the summer camp.”

“Oh,” Ashido says, shrinking into her seat. “Less exciting.”

“Yeah, I was just so confused!” Ochako says, leaning back on the couch and threading her fingers behind her head. “Why would someone become a villain like that? So I started doing some research, and it turns out she was like… really badly abused at home!” Ochako sighs deeply. “I don’t know, it feels like if someone tried to be nice to her… she wouldn’t have ever become a villain? It’s just sad, I think.”

“Did you ever figure out what her quirk was?” Kyoka Jiro asks. “I know you guys said she had some weird support gear.”

“It’s called Transform,” Ochako explains. “Basically, if she drinks the blood of anyone, she can transform into a copy of them! She can’t use their quirks or anything, though,” she adds. “And it looks like she has to drink blood, too, and that’s why she became a villain- because her parents weren’t letting her get any blood, she tried to attack a guy at her middle school.”

“Oh!” Yaoyorozu gasps, covering her mouth with a hand. “I believe I heard about that incident! The father of the boy was one of my parent’s friends- supposedly, the boy is to make a full recovery and doesn’t blame his assailant.”

“So, what?” Hagakure says. “You want to try and show her friendship and hope that makes her less of a villain?”

“I guess?” Ochako says. “I dunno, it’s not like she’s gonna walk through the front door of the dorm so that we can redeem her through the power of friendship, is she?”

“Hi everyone!” Katsuki Bakugo says, beaming with blood around his lips as he walks through the front door of the Heights Alliance building. “Can I join your girls’ night too?”

Everyone blinks.

“Also, entirely unrelated, Ochako, can I borrow some of your blood for purposes not related to me drinking it?”

“Wait wait wait,” Denki says, waving his hands back and forth. “Time out! Toga just… showed up? In the worst disguise ever?”

“Yep!” Ashido says.

“And we’re not doing anything about it?”

“Well, no,” Ashido says. “Uraraka was very convincing.”

“How..?”

Mina leans back, eyes wide and brow sweaty, as Uraraka smiles sweetly, the picture of innocence despite the sheer psychological damage she already inflicted on the other 1-A girls. “Please?”

“Yep yep sure whatever you say hahaha don’t kill me,” Mina responds.

“Trust me: you don’t want to know.”

“So, we’re just…?”

“Acting like normal!” Ashido grins. “We’re hoping that’ll convince Toga to defect, and then we have our own spy on the inside of the league!”

Denki considers, for a moment, before shrugging. “Okay!” he says. “But if she stabs me, I’m telling Mr. Aizawa before I bleed out.”

“We’ve already got gauze!” Ashido says, holding up a roll. “Like, everywhere, since despite getting some blood for free from Uraraka last night Toga keeps trying to get us to agree to her stabbing us, and we figure someone’s gonna fall for it at some point.”

“OW!” Mineta’s voice echoes from the other room.

“You said I could!” Uraraka’s voice yells back.

“You said that you wouldn’t not stab me!”

“Yeah, double negative!”

Denki holds out his hand to Ashido. “I’ll go wrap him up.”

Ashido holds the gauze away. “But, and hear me out, what if we let him bleed out?”

Denki keeps his hand up, and Ashido sighs. “Fine…” she grumbles, passing over the gauze. “But you wrap ‘em up, I’ll call Recovery Girl. Don’t want that little pervert anywhere near me.”

Shota Aizawa walks into his classroom, already exhausted. “Listen up, everyone,” he says, casting his eyes over all twenty-one students in his classroom. “Today, we’re…” Twenty-one? His eyes lock onto Uraraka, who’s sitting at her desk. Then his eyes lock onto the other Uraraka, who appears to have stolen a desk from somewhere else and is currently eying Midoriya… hungrily?

“Give me a minute,” Shota says, casually. “I just remembered, I need to speak with Nedzu about something important. I’m expecting all of you guys to behave while I’m gone,” he adds as walks out of the classroom, closing the door behind him before quickly striding to the principal’s office and opening the door.

“Hm? What is it, Aizawa?” Nedzu says, looking up from from his computer.

“I believe I have a lead on one of the League of Villain members,” Shota says.

Nedzu smiles. “Why, that’s wonderful!” he says, quickly tapping at his keyboard to pull up the security camera footage. “Which one, and where?” he asks.

“In my classroom, and Himiko Toga.”

Nedzu’s smile… widens? Oh fuck, that’s never good when it comes to the rat. “Why, unfortunately, I can’t find any clear evidence of that.”

“There’s two Urarakas in my room right now.”

“Why, yes,” Nedzu says, spinning the monitor around. “But there’s no clear evidence that one of them is Himiko Toga, is there?”

Shota drags a hand down his face. “There’s two Urarakas in my room. One of them has got to be Toga.”

Nedzu smiles a shit-eating grin. Fucking rat. “Yes, of course, but how could we prove it?”

“I use my quirk on them. One of them turns into Toga. Problem solved.”

“Ah, but Aizawa, that would be assault with a quirk!” Nedzu chirps.

“What.”

“Alas, there seems to be no way to tell! What a shame! Guess we will have to continue educating a poor, abused child that I in no way feel sympathy for,” Nedzu bemoans.

“Nedzu. She stabbed people.”

“Fun fact! Those people followed a running, crying girl into an alleyway and ‘let their guards down’.”

“You mean?”

“Yes.”

“Oh. Fuck ‘em, then.”

Nedzu grins. “Glad you see it my way! But still, you aren’t allowed to use your quirk to identify Himiko Toga in your class.”

Shota grunts. “If I do?”

“I’ll replace all the coffee in Tokyo with Dunkin’ Donuts coffee.”

“Fine, asshole. No need to go that far,” Shota says, turning to leave. “But if Toga hurts any members of my class…”

“Don’t worry!” the principal chirps. “If she non-consensually stabs any students, she’ll never leave U.A. outside of the back of a police car!”

“Good,” Shota says, walking towards the door. “Wait. Non-consensually?”

Earlier that morning…

“I’ll never love again!” Minoru Mineta sobs, clutching his arm as Recovery Girl re-bandages it. “She didn’t even hesitate! Just stabbed me!”

Nemuri Kayama raises an eyebrow. “Ochako Uraraka. Asked if she could stab you. And then did when you agreed?”

“Yes!” Mineta cries.

“Mm-hmm,” Nemuri says. “I see. Are you sure you didn’t accidentally stab yourself? That seems more likely.”

No! ” Mineta yells.

“The incident has already been taken care of!” Nedzu grins, smiling.

Aizawa opens his mouth. “But-”

“Already taken care of!” Nedzu smiles. “Now, shoo! I need to plan !”

1-A’s teacher shoos, not wanting to be anywhere near Nedzu’s planning.

“Now, how best to do this?” Nedzu wonders, closing his eyes and letting the gears in his brain turn. “Where can I fit you in once 1-A is through with you?”

After class lets out for the day (though, bizarrely enough, every teacher that 1-A had that day had to leave the room and urgently talk to Nedzu at the beginning of class), Himiko practically skipped back to the dorms. She totally fooled them all in an amazingly cute way- nobody even suspected that she was disguised as Ochako! And then she spots Izuku and Ochako up ahead! How lucky!

“Izuku!~” she says, skipping up to the two. “Hey, d’you mind if I have some of your blood for a totally normal reason?”

“O-oh, yeah, sure!” Izuku says, pulling out a small vial full of the crimson liquid. “I-I thought you might ask later, actually, so I already went to Recovery Girl and got some out for you!”

“Yes!” Himiko cheers, pumping her fist and taking the glass vial. “Thank you so much, Izuku!”

“Y-yeah, no problem!”

Himiko can’t wait to drink this! But first, she needs to call Shiggy and let him know! So she skips to a totally isolated place and pulls out her phone!

“Hello?” his voice crackles through the phone.

“Shiggy!” Himiko cheers. “I did it! I snuck in and attended classes with 1-A all day and nobody suspected a thing!”

“Wait, seriously?” Shiggy says, flabbergasted. He must have expected her to wait a few more days before calling, but not Himiko! She knew she should give reports daily!

“How the fuck- I mean, great job. Woo. Did you get any information about the class that we can exploit?”

“Yep! I learned stuff like Ochako’s allergic to root vegetables, and Izuku is ambidextrous and really good at drawing, and, and, Tsu is better at math than Mina but Mina’s better at English! And, and, I learned,” she continues, talking and talking for nearly half an hour before Shigaraki finally interrupts her.

“Toga. Did you learn anything that we can use to kill them?”

“Ochako’s allergic to root vegetables?”

“So, no.”

“Not yet! Don’t worry, I’ve got this!”

“I’m sure…” Shiggy says, not at all sarcastically. “Look, Toga, why don’t you stay on this mission indefinitely, and get all the information you can, okay?”

“Alright!” Himiko says, eyes sparkling. Her totally cute mission was a-go!

“Good. I’ll call next time I want updates, okay?”

“Yep yep yep! Buh-bye!”

Himiko was nailing this infiltration thing!

Notes:

I was struck by a muse. I have no excuses.

Credit to the original prompt goes to u/InevitableKey253 on reddit, who made a very serious prompt I took in a very cracky direction.

This'll update similarly to Equilibrium, in the sense that I have unleashed a single chapter unto the world that I may one day return to if I ever think up a story-length continuation.

Anyways, lemme know if you enjoyed!
