Chapter Text
Hello, my name is (not) Mizu. Nice to meet you.
Welcome, or welcome back.
>English is not my native language, so I ask for forgiveness from now for any mistakes you might or might not find.
>I haven't played any CoD games, just watched my nephew and brother play the games. I wrote and planned this before MWIII came out so that doesn't exist.
>This is a continuation from my previous work (To be human.) which you can find in my works if I still didn't figure out how Ao3 works.
Yes, you need to read all that for context. I am (a bit) sorry!
>TL;DR for the story, for anyone that doesn't want to read it again to refresh their memories: Soap and Ghost meet a woman while they look for Makarov, she has two kids back home. After she gets hurt, they promised to take care of those two kids, so they retire and move to another country to live in a farm in the middle of nowhere.
Leah and Leo are the kids, a pair of twins that had to mature a bit too fast to survive while they lived with their aunt. They're pretty smart, I think. Leah is obsessed with sea life and Leo likes reading anything that he understands.
The first work is about Simon and Johnny figuring out how to raise kids. And getting together. It's only their first year in their new lives.
There's a bunch of domestic fluff and a bit of angst, so I would recommend reading that if you found this work before the first one.
>The content warnings for this one are the same as the previous work; Some violence (just in a few chapters and it's not graphic, don't worry), description of panic attacks (again, just one chapter), and alcohol (but in the non abusive way).
>And also, no, there's no NSFW here, or the previous work. I can't write anything explicit without wanting to jump off a cliff, but I'm sure you can find other works (and then come back. Please. I'm beggin–) that have that content. The closest we get to NSFW is implied.
>There's also two OCs that appear frequently, so in case anyone reading this decides they don't want to read the first fic, we got:
Sol, the kids' babysitter and one of the closest friends our boys have in town. She's the amalgamation of all the different OCs my original work (this wasn't a fanfic before!) had that I scrapped, so she acts a bit different depending on the chapter, even if I tried to fix that.
Alexander, the kids' uncle. He visits every now and then, but he doesn't do much.
And the other OCs appear for specific scenes, there's no need to remember them, really.
>Having said all that, I hope you like this! There's no upload schedule because my job steals my time and soul, but I'll try to at least post once each month, a bit more if I have time.
I don't know how long this will be, definitely longer than the first work. And that was almost 300k words, so good luck reading, I guess. I haven't thought about an ending to this story so I guess I'll just write until my brain gives up.
