Chapter Text
The USJ Attack had been a failure.
Everything had started out promising; they jammed UA’s communications, Kurogiri managed to successfully warp everyone there, and only 2 teachers were with the students-
Wait… only two?
…So the ‘Symbol of Peace’ wasn’t there, but hey, killing a few kids should be enough to ruin his pride-
None were actually killed…
…And by the time All Might did arrive for the second half of the fight, the Nomu was easily able to pose a threat to him-
He punched it out of the USJ like it was nothing…
“Oh for fuck sake!” Shigaraki yelled out randomly, the annoyance in his voice clear as day.
Since the USJ attack, Kurogiri had noticed that Shigaraki had been more tense than before. Originally, he thought that being shot in the hand by that one UA Teacher was the cause of it. However, it had been a few days since said incident, and the tenseness was still there.
Following the most recent outburst, Kurogiri just turned towards Shigaraki. “Tomura, are you alright?”
“No! These fucking voices won’t shut the hell up!”
“I see…” the concern in Kurogiri’s voice was clear. “I’ll see if Sensei can get you a mission to help calm you down. For now, try to not destroy the bar.”
Kurogiri had warped to All For One’s room, hoping to see if the man could give Tomura something to do.
Normally, the warper would just wait for All For One to respond through the bar’s monitor. However, said monitor had been destroyed during one of Shigaraki’s previous attempts to decay the bar, and had yet to be fixed, just a terribly designed “Out Of Order” sign being placed on top of it.
Kurogiri remained behind All For One, seeing as he was likely actively doing something, and didn't want to be seen as a distraction.
“Sir, Tomura is starting to get restless. Do you have a mission for him to complete?”
Meanwhile, All For One was talking with some of the people still left from his empire. He was in the process of trying to smuggle the last remaining sections of his empire out of Japan, with plans to relocate them all to Panama at a later date. He would need somewhere to send them first to not bring up suspicion however…
“Valencia… No, not that Valencia, the other one… What do you mean ‘what other one’? Clearly you’ve never heard of Venezuela before…”
Unfortunately for the warper, he hadn’t realized that All For One had yet to notice him, and assumed the place he was talking about was where he wanted Shigaraki to go. Without hesitation, he decided to head back to the bar, right as All For One noticed him.
“Kurogiri, what can I do for yo- oh… he’s already gone.”
By the time the warper returned, Shigaraki was still complaining, something about “these fucking stupid voices”...
“Tomura, Sensei has a new mission for you.”
“Hm?” Shigaraki started paying more attention, considering the warper was now supposedly relaying a mission from Sensei. “What does he want done this time?”
“He only told me a place. I assume it’s up to you what you do while there.”
Shigaraki just sighed. “Alright fine, just take me there.”
And with that, Kurogiri opened a warp gate…
Shigaraki stepped out the other side, Kurogiri wishing him luck on the mission, before just walking around.
He had no idea where he even was, and no obvious mission to follow, so he assumed all he had to do was start chaos. After a few minutes of walking around, he just started decaying random things, like walls, trees, and even a random raccoon that had come up to him. It took a bit longer for him to find anything to identify where he was, when he saw the same flag waving from multiple houses.
“Venezuela? Huh, who knew playing that shitty football game would actually help me.”
Then, out of nowhere, a stray ball hit Shigaraki in his upper arm. He ignored the *crack* he heard, and just continued on his way…
Kurogiri just looked at the error message that Shigaraki’s tracker was showing. “I don’t think that was supposed to happen.”
After about an hour and a half of aimlessly walking, decaying things at random, Shigaraki was slowly getting bored. Only to realize…
“Shit, who the fuck broke my tracker?”
The other people around him looked at him like he was speaking a foreign language… which he was. Japanese was not a common language in Venezuela, and Shigaraki had no idea how to speak either English or Spanish, apart from a few curses.
All Shigaraki could do was sigh, as he started looking for an alleyway to sleep in. As he started walking, he was questioning one thing...
“I wonder what’s going on back home…”
“Kurogiri, Tomura should’ve been here by now. Why haven’t you warped him in?”
“With all due respect sir, I have lost contact with him. I do not know where he is at the moment.”
“And do tell, where was the last place you warped him?”
“Venezuela sir, just like you ordered.”
“...”
“Sir?”
“I’m surrounded by idiots…”
That night, Shigaraki just slept in the first alleyway he found, decaying anyone and anything that came in. By the time the sun rose, he had killed 3 people, a snake, and two lamps that had daylight sensors on them.
Well, all Shigaraki had to do was survive… How hard could that be?
