No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
He wondered if it was a part of God’s plan to let him fall into the temptation of the beautiful figure in front of him, if he would ever be able to find the escape route, if he would ever want to leave. For this act of ravaging his best friend, is not one of temptation, but one of release, of worship, of finally being able to touch and hold and kiss and bite and maim them, it is him being granted the forbidden fruit, handed to him by a bony, pale hand and a face full of makeup.
