After the accident, Danny had thought the ghost powers were the only side effect. And they were pretty cool!
And then he had his first seizure.
They looked into it after that. And it turned out electrocution had many side effects.
It explained the headaches he’d attributed to the lack of sleep. It also explained why his muscles always seemed to ache and the tingling and numbness in his hand and arm.
Most of these were pretty easy to hide. But the seizures…
It was only so long before it happened in front of someone out of team Phantom, and ten there would be questions. Questions with no easy answers.
But they would try to keep it hidden for as long as possible.
So, Danny took more ‘bathroom trips’ to hide when he felt them coming on and avoided being home as much as possible.

Of course, Danny should have known it would also happen when he was in ghost form.
Though he would have appreciated it not happening when he was in the middle of fighting Johnny 13 and Kitty.
He had crashed onto a rooftop and seen them start to approach when he had blacked out.
When he woke up it took him a moment to remember what had happened. Then his eyes shot open and he tried to sit, but something stopped him.
“Hey, hold on. You’re okay. Everything’s fine.”
Danny flinched back when he saw Johnny above him.
“It’s okay, kid. We’re not gonna hurt ya.”
“Why?” Danny asks. Because there has to be a reason. This is one of his rogues. Why didn’t they take advantage of him while he was down? Vlad sure would have.
Johnny looked uncomfortable. “Look, kid, we may fight sometimes, but I wasn’t going to take advantage of you when whatever happened clearly had something to do with, you know…” Johnny waved his hand vaguely at Danny, “you’re Death Mark.”
Danny looked down at his arm and inhaled sharply. His lichtenberg mark was glowing faintly through his suit.
He looked back at Johnny who still looked really uncomfortable.
“Thanks?”
“Yeah, whatever. Don’t mention it.” Johnny said, looking away. “Now that you’re awake I’m gonna…” Johnny started then flew off.
Danny should probably chase after him. He didn't even know where Kitty or Shadow had gone. But…
He was tired. And Johnny hadn't done anything.
Danny wondered if this was some sort of ghost culture thing. That was something he’d have to look into later.
For now, Danny was going to go home and sleep.
