Summary
Mickey realized that he looked at Spoon's hands that night more than he looked at his face. Looking at Spoon, seeing him in the same beach where the traffickers almost killed Mickey was terrifying. Spoon looked devoid of himself, sitting there staring at the dead body of a girl in the back of the truck, eyes dry and dejected. It scared Mickey, perhaps that's why he asked no questions about Candy's death. The trembling of Spoon's hands were enough of an answer to any question Mickey might ask, or maybe because Mickey was a coward who didn't know what to do or say at the moment because there was no one there to punch to save Spoon. It didn't matter anymore. Spoon will probably talk to him about it when he's ready. Although he has already talked to Ema about it, maybe Spoon just doesn't want to talk to Mickey about it specifically.
Which is, now thinking about it, kind of unfair.
