Summary
Swiss locks eyes with him, faces mere inches apart. He can feel Rain’s cool breath ghost over his face while he considers the question, not quite sure himself. Not only had he physically changed himself with the miniscule incentive of a fun surprise for his beloved, but he was impatient to do so.
A plethora of reasons buzz through his mind, thoughts of wanting to feel closer to the water ghoul, to understand this important part of him, the idea of being able to show him just how much he really means to him, that he is worth it. So many words and so many ways to tell Rain exactly how deep his love runs. A desire to find a way to say outloud the way that loving him and being loved in return leaves a river of bliss running through his veins.
Finally he compresses these thoughts and settles on “Your gills are an integral part of you, and my love for you is an integral part of me. It just felt right.”Swisstopher being so far gone on Rain that he is a stupid impatient idiot in an attempt to make his water ghoul happy.
