Pairing: Hermione Granger/Harry Potter
Prompt: (Location) Diagon Alley
Harry Potter found himself wandering aimlessly around Diagon Alley. He didn’t have much to do – his summer homework was completed and he had all the new school supplies for the upcoming term. There were a few weeks before he returned to Hogwarts.
Without a direction in mind, Harry found himself exploring around Diagon Alley and the connecting alleys. He ignored Knockturn Alley. Hortizon Alley had another wandshop, another bookstore, a stationary shop, a few clothing stores, a pet shop, and several restaurants. Morning Dew Lane had numerous boutiques and a library. Profession Alley had a range of offices – law, healer, travel agencies, tutors, and more.
One morning a week into his stay, Harry was returning The Leaky Caldron. He had visited The Laboratory on Profession Alley. It was a professional potions lab that brewed for most of the private healers offices and they did private research in addition to offering tutoring. Harry knew his potions abilities were subpar, and he wanted to improve – if only to see the shock on Snape’s and the other Slytherins’ faces.
“There you are!” called a familiar voice through the crowd of people.
Harry stopped, glancing around. If he wasn’t mistaken that was Hermione Granger.
“Harry!” the voice called again. “Over here!”
He turned, knowing to walk to Flourish and Blotts. Where else would one look for Hermione?
Standing a few feet away from the entrance was Hermione with her parents. Hermione offered a smile.
“I’ve been looking all over for you!” she stated.
Harry raised an eyebrow as he looked pointedly at the bag filled with books.
Hermione blushed.
