Pairing: Harry Potter/Charlie Weasley
Prompt: (Sport) Quidditch
Charlie Weasley crossed his arms as he watched Ron argue with the twins. They were playing a pick-up Quidditch game and they were debating what positions to fill and the rules.
“They should just agree to Chasers and Keepers,” Harry Potter muttered.
Charlie offered the younger wizard a smile. “How will we ever know who the better Seeker is?” he asked.
Harry turned, raising an eyebrow. “Name the time and place,” he challenged.
A flare of want filled Charlie as he held Harry’s gaze. It had been ages since he was interested in another person. He felt odd in wanting his little sister’s ex and his youngest brother’s best friend, but Harry was single and eighteen.
Harry looked away, turning his attention to Charlie’s younger brothers.
A sense of jealousy filled Charlie. He didn't want to share Harry’s attention. He found himself staring at Harry.
Harry shook his head as he listened to the conversation between the twins and Ron. After a moment or two, he returned his attention to Charlie.
The older wizard felt a flutter of butterflies in his stomach. He filled an eyebrow.
“I don't think they're going to settle this anytime soon,” Harry stated with a sigh.
A silence fell between them.
Charlie found himself staring at Harry. He was nineteen and it didn’t look like he was getting back together with Ginny – Ginny was focused on her Quidditch career.
“Fancy a walk through the orchard?” Charlie asked, blushing a little.
Shrugging, Harry agreed.
Feeling his heartbeat increase, Charlie offered the younger wizard a smile as they walked toward the apple orchard.
