Day 16: primal play
Dread fills him to the brim, settling in every nook and crevice of his body. It's so silent, the fog absorbing every sound. It's like he's walking on a bunch of pillows, the crunching of leaves barely making any noise.
It's so silent because there's no crackling or snarling.
The realization hits Phantom in the same moment he notices two glowing orbs in the thick fog. They're like eyes, watching his every move. The ghoul freezes in place, his heart beating so fast he thinks it might stop.

Another low, threatening snarl breaks the smothering silence. The growl unlocks the ghoul's legs, sending him flying in the direction he came from, his instincts taking over.
He'd walked right into his stalker's territory.
