Jackie trudged off the field and wiped her sweaty brow. The stifling heat of the summer was suffocating. Jackie panted as she took her seat on the sidelines and watched the next set of girls walk off to the field.

“I’m glad you like it Jax,” Shauna said as she took a seat by Jackie, watching her intently as she took another sip.
“Hey Shipman, where’d you get this stuff any way?” Jackie questioned.
”I found some, uh, lemonade mix in my locker so I mixed it up for you!” Shauna stuttered. If Jackie wasn’t so thirsty she would have been skeptical of her friend, but she was too worn out to notice.
“I have to go back into the locker room to change my socks,” Shauna scurried off before Jackie could ask further questions.
