“Come on Chuuya! Lighten up a bit!” Dazai smiled as they walked into a tall, abandoned building. Chuuya groaned and shook his head.
“I can’t 'lighten up’ while you’re screaming in my ear.” He yelled and rubbed his temple with a deep sigh.
Dazai hummed and stopped at the small opening of a door. He smiled and Chuuya frowned, his hands crossed over his chest. “Well, let’s just– eliminate this organization, then we’ll be on our way.”
Chuuya nodded in agreement and walked into the room to scan the small area of the room. He pushed his hand out, thumb and pointer finger extended to Dazai who waited by the door.
He walked into the room behind him with long, quiet footsteps. “They should be in this room up here, be quiet and don’t attack until we need to, your boss wants us to only figure out what they want, ok?”
Dazai smiled, “I feel like I’m normally the one to tell you this.” Chuuya rolled his eyes and opened the door with his gloved hand.
He walked in, and a dozen people sat on the floor with a small fire in the middle of them. They chatted with wine in their hands and cards scattered on the dirty floor.
“You guys even lookin’ at the door?” Chuuya snarled and finally caught their attention. They dropped their cups and stood up quickly.
“Who the hell are you and what are you doin’ in our headquarters?!” A tall male yelled as his legs swayed with the alcohol in his system.
Chuuya laughed and brought his hand to his face to cover his smile. “Dazai, you can come in, they’re drunk as fuck.”
Dazai sighed and pushed himself through the cracked door. “Ah Chuu, I really was hoping for enemies that would put up a fight.”
He stood next to Chuuya and smiled at the men that swayed on their feet. “Yeah, well there’s a ton more of us than you, so we would probably win anyways!” Another man who was shorter yelled and swung his fist.
Dazai snorted and looked away from the sight. “We really aren’t going to get much out of them are we?” He asked Chuuya, who laughed with Dazai.
“No, no we’re not.” He agreed and pulled out his phone to dial in a familiar number. “Hey boss, yeah we’ve found them they’re just drunk and there’s no way we’re gettin’ anything out of them.” He nodded against the phone, a habit he picked up from Dazai, then responded shortly, “Yes, thank you boss.”
Dazai turned around and exited the door where they came in through and Chuuya followed with a sigh. They made it to the front where the car they took over sat on the pebbles of a driveway.
Chuuya held his head again and walked to the car slowly, Dazai now behind him. “Hey, are you ok?” He asked and Chuuya stopped in his tracks.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m fine, I just–” He tried to finish as he swayed to the side. Dazai carefully caught him and walked to the car to set him down in the back.
After adjusting the seats accordingly, Dazai climbed in the back with him. Chuuya smiled weakly and held tightly to Dazai's hand. “Can you tell me what’s wrong now?” He asked and Chuuya nodded.
“Just tired, boss has put me on a ton of missions lately and Arahabaki just won’t shut up.” He gritted out through his clenched teeth and Dazai held him closer.
“Yeah?” He asked and Chuuya nodded as he tucked his head under his shoulder.
“Can we please stay like this for a little? Don’t let me go?” He asked and Dazai nodded, his hand now snaked around his waist where his vest met the top of his dress pants.
With his free hand, he took off Chuuya’s gloves and kissed the top of his hand. He made it to his left hand and stopped when his lips made it to his ring finger. “Where’s your ring at?” Dazai asked and Chuuya hummed.
“At home, didn’t want to lose it.” He explained and Dazai smiled at his muffled voice. He kissed the top of his head.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you wear it, why don’t you wear it tomorrow when I see you at the meeting for debriefing?” Dazai asked and Chuuya nodded.
“Sure, I haven’t worn it for a while anyway.” He smiled and kissed Dazai's bandaged neck.
Dazai hummed as he sat down at the large table used for their meetings at the Agency. “Dazai-san?” Atsushi asked and he popped his head to look in the direction of his mentee.
“What is it Atsushi-kun?” He asked as he watched Atsushi walk into the room and take the seat next to him.
“Well, it’s just that you’re here super early, and normally I have to go out and find you.” He explained and Dazai nodded.
“I suppose it is normally like that, but today is different, I’m quite excited for this meeting!” Dazai exclaimed and Atsushi only nodded.
Before too long, the President along with Mori, Akutagawa and Chuuya walked into the door and sat in the provided chairs.
Chuuya sat on the left side of Dazai while Akutagawa sat next to Atsushi with a small smile.
Mori and Fukazawa stood at the front and smiled. “Now, let’s begin, yes?” Mori asked and Fukazawa nodded.
“Yesterday, Dazai and Chuuya were sent on a mission to investigate a hidden group. They are small but still dangerous because of the amount of ability users they have.” He started and Chuuya nodded slightly. “When they got there, they were drunk and not able to give information. And so, we have decided that Akutagawa and Atsushi will be sent there tonight.
“After I talked with Mori, he had agreed that a stealth mission would be better than engaging in a fight. And because of Dazai’s defensive ability, we thought that they would be a better decision.”
They all nodded and Chuuya let out a breath of relief. Fukazawa looked at Mori to see if he wanted to add anything else, Mori smiled, “Thank you for that, now I just updated your case files and Kunikida-kun should be bringing those in any monument…”
As on cue, Kunikida knocked on the door and Mori smiled, “Come in.” He opened the door and handed the files to the four of them. “Thank you.” Mori nodded his head and Kunikida left the room quietly.
“Now I think that’s all I have to say.” Mori looked at Fukazawa who took over from where he left off.
“Atsushi and Akutagawa, I suggest going over the case together, Dazai and Chuuya you are dismissed.”
Dazai smiled and stood up with the file in hand. He exited the room quickly and Chuuya stood up behind him. He bowed his head and walked out the same door Dazai went out of.
“Chibi! It’s so great to see you again! How about you have me over for some dinner and we can watch a movie together yeah?” Dazai asked and Chuuya sighed.
“Sure, it’s not like I have anything else better to do anyway.” Chuuya sighed and Dazai followed him out the door of the Agency.
“Dazai.” Chuuya growled as Dazai clamped his arms around his waist as they laid on Chuuya’s large bed with a movie on in the background.
“Yes?” He asked and Chuuya swatted at him blindly. Dazai caught his hand and flipped him over until they faced each other.
“Whatdya whant?” Chuuya whispered and Dazai smiled and squeezed his hip tightly.
“You Chuuya.” He brought their lips together in a kiss only to pull away quickly. Chuuya blushed and shook his head.
“You’re such a sap.” Chuuya said and Dazai pressed their lips together again.
“I know I am.” He brought his hand to his lips to kiss the large ring on his finger. Chuuya smiled and looked at Dazai in awe. “You’re so gorgeous, and I love you so much.” He smiled and peppered his face with light kisses. On his nose, his cheeks, and lips.
Chuuya smiled and held Dazai by his waist now, “Yeah?” He asked and Dazai nodded, his nose now in ginger hair. “I think you are too, dummy.”
