Chichi was shouting at him again. Her brow was furrowed in anger, fists clenched at her sides, and her nose was scrunched up adorably.
And her face was also shoved into his. Goku could make out every single detail of that furious, stunning face. It kind of made it hard to concentrate on what she was actually saying.
Oh, he wanted to kiss her. He couldn’t deny that she was scary when she was mad, but he recently found out that Chichi’s anger actually made her more attractive. Which was kind of backward, but it was just something about it that he couldn’t explain.
Chichi was silently glaring at him now, having finished ranting at him. Her cheeks were slightly flushed, and she was breathing hard. Goku gulped, both in fear and…
He chuckled nervously and shifted on the spot. “I kind of want to kiss you right now,” he blurted.
Her eyes widened, wrath disappearing for a split second. “W-what?”
Their breaths were practically mingling. Goku’s eyes darted down toward her lips, longing to close the very small distance between them.
Then, Chichi moved away, and disappointment overtook his previous yearning. “If you’re trying to sweet talk me out of trouble, it’s not gonna work!” she fumed.
He pouted. “I’m sorry, okay? It won’t happen again!”
She bared her teeth. “You better be. I spent hours cleaning the floor, and you stroll in with your muddy boots, ruining all my hard work!”
“I’m sorry,” he repeated, almost in a pleading tone.
She scowled at him for a second longer before sighing, irritation still painted across her face. “You mean it?”
“Of course I do!”
She narrowed her eyes. “Do you really promise to never do that again?”
Goku nodded vigorously.
Another tense second passed before her shoulders slumped. “Oh, what am I going to do with you?” she muttered, rubbing her forehead.
“So um…” He shifted again. “Can I… kiss you now?”
Chichi removed her hand from her face, revealing an ‘ are-you-serious? ’ expression. “I’m angry at you! Why do you want to kiss me!?”
“Because you’re hot when you’re mad!”
His voice virtually echoed throughout their house, and Chichi was left gaping at his response. Red bloomed across her cheeks.
Awkward silence took over and they both stared at each other for what felt like long minutes.
Then, he took a tentative step towards her.
“You think, I’m hot…” she said slowly, blinking at him. “When I’m mad?”
“Yeah…?” Goku said, unsure. “I can’t really understand it myself.” He took a few more steps.
She shook her head. “That’s… a little weird.”
He was now directly in front of her.
“Weird, huh?” Goku reached a hand out to lightly caress her cheek. He could once again make out every single detail of her face. From her dark, dilated eyes peeking at him, to her soft, parted lips, everything was absolutely flawless. “You’re so… beautiful, ” he whispered admiringly. Her breath hitched.
Goku finally closed the distance, smiling into their kiss when Chichi didn’t pull away. She kissed him back just moments later, burying her hands in his hair.
The dirty floor was completely disregarded as their kiss became more heated and intense. Somewhere along the way, Chichi’s back had hit the wall.
“Can I take you to our bed?” Goku murmured against her lips.
She nodded ever so slightly, but that was all he needed to carry her away.
