What A Blessing To Meet Someone Like You

Summary:

Cellbit crawled into bed and the moment he was within grabbing distance Roier grabbed him and wrapped his arms around him. Cellbit immediately tensed in the hold not being used to having someone hold him like that and fighting against every part of his muscle memory that wanted him to fight back. After a moment he managed to relax, reminding himself that it was fine that it was just Roier's arms around him. Just as he was getting used to Roier holding him the other man started to run his hands through Cellbit's hair. Cellbit sighed and felt a rumble build up in his chest.

Roier and Cellbit are both dragons but are unaware that the other is also a dragon and they both have to find out about the other at some point.

Work Text:

Cellbit is sitting on the roof of the house that has been Roier’s prison on and off for months. Cellbit had become as familiar with this building as he had the castle in the last few months. It would be nice if it wasn't for the fact that it was where the dragon Melissa took Roier whenever she kidnapped him. The shingles of the roof scraped uncomfortably against his hands and snagged their uneven edges on his clothes every time he tried to move but he promised his boyfriend he would join him out there. His boyfriend, he still can't believe they are together. Roier is laying down with his arms crossed behind his head staring at the stars but Cellbit, instead of staring at the stars, can't help but stare at him. Roier is biting his lip, obviously thinking deeply about something.

"What's on your mind?" Cellbit asked, causing Roier to jump a little at the sound of his voice.

Roier sighs and bites his lip before he sits up.

"I'm not trapped here." Roier stated, staring at Cellbit as if to gauge his reaction.

"?" Cellbit asked, he was curious if Roier seemed to forget the fact that there was a literal dragon, bigger than Cellbit

"I can leave whenever I want." Roier says with far too much confidence for someone who is a prisoner.

"Roier, you have a dragon that kidnaps you. You can't just leave when you want."

"I am Melissa."

"You can possibly be Melissa." Cellbit argued, crossing his arms.

"Use that sexy brain of yours, Cellbit." Roier says, pitching his voice so he sounds like Melissa.

Cellbit in that moment feels as if he can see all the makeup that isn't currently on Roier's face. He feels as if he can still see some lingering eyeliner around his eyes or a faint stain of red lipstick on his lips. He feels like an idiot for missing how similar both were. How Melissa had some of Roier's mannerisms and how Roier’s flirtations sounded so similar to the ones Melissa would say. Cellbit didn't particularly enjoy when Melissa had flirted with him but knowing it was Roier made everything Melissa had done so much more attractive.

Then it hit Cellbit that Melissa was a dragon. If Melissa was a dragon, then Roier had to also be a dragon. Cellbit looked at Roier and how the other man was cautiously studying him as if he was waiting for Cellbit to snap.

"You're a dragon." Cellbit whispered, mostly to himself.

"Yes." Roier cautiously replied.

"Me too." Cellbit whispered looking at Roier.

Roier's eyes widened as he processed what Cellbit had said before Roier was suddenly on top of and hugging Cellbit. As they fall back onto the roof.

"I have to show you my lair tomorrow." Roier grinned as he let go of Cellbit enough to rest his arms on either side of Cellbit’s head and leaned back so he could see his face.

Cellbit offered him a soft smile. Roier finding out he is a dragon went better than he could have expected. Cellbit was excited to see Roier's lair. Cellbit doesn’t remember seeing an actual lair when he was growing up. He knows dragons are meant to have lairs, nests, and hoards but the host of the games trained the instincts out of the younger dragons. The older dragons in the games would talk about when they used to have hoards and nests but they were trained out of their habits as much as the younger ones were. Even since he escaped Cellbit had not built a nest and had fought every urge he had to hoard things. Having a hoard and a nest would risk the hosts of the games searching for him again and he couldn’t risk that.

He hadn’t even seen another dragon in their natural form since he had been in the games. Even back when he was in the games the dragons that he saw weren’t willingly showing their true selves to him. It would be nice to see one of his own kind again. It’s not like he would ever make Roier show his dragon form to him but it would be nice to see what the other looked like. There was still a question that lingered in Cellbit’s mind.

"Why do you kidnap yourself?" Cellbit asked, staring up at Roier above him.

"You know the itch, the yearning to transform."

Cellbit nods.

He knows that feeling well and he has learned to suppress it and has suppressed it for years but at the mention of it he feels the years of being trapped in his human form clawing at him from the inside out. He wants nothing more than to transform and unfurl his wings and shake out all his joints.

"I needed to get out and transform and it was the easiest way without telling anyone." Roier explains as Cellbit nods in understanding before he yawns.

"Maybe now we should go to bed."

"We?" Cellbit asked.

"I'm not going to make you go back to the castle at this hour." Roier replies, rolling off Cellbit and crawling back to the window.

"Where will I sleep?" Cellbit asked, following Roier inside the house.

"In my bed?" Roier suggests, gesturing to the bed.

Cellbit opens his mouth and closes it, his cheeks becoming increasingly redder as he looks between Roier and the bed.

"I don't fuck."

Roier laughs and shakes his head as he crawls into the bed. "Just come lay in my bed with me."

"" Roier teased.

"." Cellbit murmured burying his face into Roier's chest."

"Gatinho." Roier whispered.

"No." Cellbit replied, despite not actually minding how the word sounded coming from Roier's mouth.

"It's too late, Gatinho." Roier teased, the smirk evident in his voice.

"Go to sleep, Guapito." Cellbit murmured into Roier's chest.

", Gatinho." Roier whispered, planting a kiss on Cellbit’s hair.

", Guapito." Cellbit murmured, as he yawned.

--

“Are you sure it’s safe here?” Cellbit asked as he ducked into the mouth of the cave.

“It’s safe I promise.” Roier replied as he continued to awkwardly walk in front of him, slowly standing more upright as the tunnel widened.

Before long Cellbit was able to stand upright in the tunnel and in a few more minutes he saw a light at the end of the tunnel, silhouetting Roier in a halo of warm light. When they get to the opening room the space from floor to ceiling quadruples in size. Cellbit stares at the large vines that were spread over the roof of the cave and the few vines hanging down towards the bottom of the cave. What surprises Cellbit more than the glowing vines is the massive number of blankets and pillows that were piled around the cave. Cellbit wasn’t sure how Roier’s den compared to the average dragons but he felt so at home amongst everything in Roier’s den. If Cellbit believed in fate he would say it was almost as if he was meant to be there around everything.

"Are you okay with me dropping my disguise?" Roier asks.

"If you are sure that it is safe."

Roier nods and steps away from Cellbit and positions himself towards the center of the room. The moment Roier drops his disguise Cellbit had to keep his mouth from dropping open.

Roier was massive.

Well, Roier may not have been that large but he was about 8 feet larger than what Cellbit remembers himself being the last time he had dropped his disguise. Cellbit should have been just as big, if not bigger, than Roier but his time in the games had reduced his size and he was almost certain that how long he kept his disguise on had stunted his growth some more. Despite the fact that he should be bigger, Celbit finds the fact that Roier is larger than him attractive in some way.

Roier's red scales pop against his black ones and in the light Cellbit wonders if his own darker scales are actually black or more of a darker color with how in his memory his scales didn't seem to be as dark as Roier’s are. Cellbit couldn't help but think about how Roier's red scales were almost the exact opposite color to the green of his own scales from what he could remember. It was almost like they were meant to be together. Cellbit couldn’t help himself as he reached out to touch Roier’s scales.

"What do you think?" Roier asks, his voice a bit deeper in his larger form.

"." Cellbit whispers causing Roier to laugh. "Where do you want me to drop my disguise?"

"Wherever you feel gives you enough space- but you don't have to." Roier quickly added.

"I want to." Cellbit replied, staring at Roier.

Roier examined him before he took a step back to give Cellbit more room to drop his disguise. Cellbit stepped more into the center of the den so he wouldn't hit his head or wings on any of the outside walls when he dropped his disguise.

Cellbit took a deep breath to prepare himself. He feels his wings unfurl as his human disguise dissipates. When the disguise is finally gone Cellbit goes to take a step to get used to the feeling of his full dragon body outside of the confines of his human disguise and his knees give out on him.

"." Cellbit whispers.

"?" Roier asks as he steps closer, trying not to hover despite his large size.

"It's fine." Cellbit replies, as he stands up and winces at the ache in his bones.

"Are you sure, Gatinho."

"I just haven't had a chance to exist like this for a while."

"A while?" Roier asks. "How long is a while?"

" A few years." Cellbit replied as he looked anywhere in the room but Roier.

"That's not good. " Roier replies before he is shoving Cellbit towards the large pile of pillows and blankets in the center of the cave. "We are taking a nap."

"We need to get back before someone realizes we are gone." Cellbit argues, his words being the only way he can fight back against Roier.

"It will be fine, Gatinho. Just relax." Roier replied as he shoved Cellbit into the pillows and blankets before settling in right next to them.

Relax. Cellbit wasn’t sure he knew how to relax in this form after years of hiding. Cellbit let out a slow breath in an attempt to calm himself down.

"You're safe, Gatinho." Roier murmured curling his much larger body around Cellbit.

Cellbit starts to calm down as he hears the quiet deep rumble coming from Roier's throat. There was a vibration to it that told Cellbit that it wasn't natural and Roier was doing it to help calm him down. Cellbit tried to focus on the rumble he could feel coming from Roier's chest. Slowly he felt more of the tension leave his body.

Cellbit shoved his face farther into the other's chest. He feels the purr stutter as Roier laughs before it picks up again but this time it's a genuine purr. Cellbit feels the tension leave his body more as he feels a rumble start in himself. Before long, his eyes start to close and he falls asleep in his dragon form for the first time in years.
