Olive stumbles across a dark path he has not seen before.
Obviously, he hesitates for a moment.
But, what are not-cats if not curious?
He decides to walk down the dark path, preparing for anything he sees.
A quick peek wouldn't hurt.
He makes it to the end and sees trees with webs attached to them, all over the place.
Spiders crawling all around.
Olive isn't scared of this though.
He's seen scarier.
But a certain web catches his eye.
A web with Minnie stuck inside.
She obviously notices him and speaks up.
"Oh, thank Nestor you're here, Olive!"
"I thought I was gonna be stuck here forever.."
Olive unsheathes his claws and cuts Minnie free of the web, her falling onto the ground with a small thud.
"That's better.."
She gets behind him.
"I can't believe you found me!"
"Lead the way!"
Olive walks around the forest as instructed, looking around for any potential danger.
But the coast remains clear.
She suddenly speaks again.
"You know, I think spiders are misunderstood."
"They might scare a few kittens and tiny beans, but they're really no danger unless they feel threatened!"
Olive nods.
He enjoys her company.
Minnie sits down.
"Let's take a break, and then we can keep going on the path."
"I had snacks I wanted to share in my bag anyway!"
Olive sits with her and Minnie brings out her snacks.
Olive takes his favorite, some Watermeowlon Candies.
They see a spider pass by every once in a while.
Seeing this makes Minnie speak again.
"Did you know spiders are actually a big help with gardening and farming?"
"They eat a lot of pests that can hurt the plants.."
"I bet you knew that already."
Minnie giggles a bit.
They finish up their snacks, and set off again.
A spider falls on Minnie's head, but she just brushes it off.
Her eyes light up for a moment.
"You know, I remember this story Razra told me about when a spider fell on Maverick, right before he was gonna dive into the lake."
"He got so scared and fell into the lake trying to get the spider off."
"The spider was probably more scared of him than he was of the spider.."
Olive notices a substantial increase of spiders in the area.
Minnie speaks again, but she seems nervous.
"So many spiders here all of a sudden.."
"I-I can feel them crawling on me."
"..Maybe they're saying hi!"
She looks happy as spiders crawl onto her.
"Hi spiders! It's me, Minnie!"
They keep walking.
"Ow! They're biting me!"
"Maybe they're just scared.."
The spiders seem to avoid Olive entirely.
Maybe that thing Minnie said about them being more scared of you than you are of them is true.
"So many spiders.. I can't get them off!"
They just keep walking.
Minnie slows down, limping a bit.
"Ugh.."
Olive stays the same speed, not noticing her condition.
"Olive.."
He looks back at her and jumps a bit after seeing that she is absolutely covered in spiders.
"Olive, please.. help.."
Minnie is completely consumed by the spiders and is now gone.
The spiders disperse and all disappear.
Olive is scared again.
He reluctantly continues down the path, and finally finds a door.
He opens it and continues into the dark room.
He can't see.
And when he can't see, something is bound to happen.
Knowing this, he tries to leave, but the door slams shut before he can leave.
He backs up slowly, before he is grabbed..
He springs awake yet again.
He's not with his partners this time since he decided to take a midday nap in the cave.
He can hear the commotion of outside and heads out.
