Work Text:
Lan Zhan is relaxing in his lovely shower when the glass fogs up and the clear image of a handprint appears.
He refrains from shrieking. Barely.
It's not Wei Ying's -- indeed, the handprint is closer to his own hand's size -- and it takes Lan Zhan a few moments of panic to recall that, actually, his ge had stayed over in their spare bedroom and had, as always, been invited to treat their home as his. Of course Lan Huan had used the shower. Most likely, it was his handprint. If only Lan Zhan had realized this before careening out of the shower, still dripping all over his tiled floor!
Even Lan Zhan has to admit that he sounds a little begrudging, when he picks up the phone and asks his brother if he may have pressed his hand against the glass wall in the shower. Lan Zhan has a suspicion that the grumpiness in his voice carries through, when his brother clearly puts two and two together, especially after Lan Zhan describes being... startled.
"I'm sorry," his brother says, holding back giggles. "I forgot it would show up again when the glass fogged. You didn't think it was a supernatural visitor or anything, did you?"
Lan Zhan pauses, then gently reminds his brother about the squeegee that exists in their shower.
"Does this mean that I'm no longer invited back?" Lan Huan asks.
Lan Zhan can picture the way his brother is smiling, one hand resting on his belly. His eyes would be dancing with mirth and mock penitance, and Lan Zhan finds it hard to stay mad. He sighs. "No," he says. "You can come back. Wei Ying liked having you around, too."
(The next time Lan Huan visits, he's careful not to leave a handprint. however....
He eyes the shower wall, laughs silently to himself, and presses his butt up against the glass. What's the fun in being a big brother if he can't gently terrorize his didi?)
