Summary
Jin Guangshan gets Jin Guangyao out of JinLinTai almost as soon as he is recognized as his son, marrying him into the Jiang Clan in a rare, matrilineal marriage when Jin Zixuan declines to renew the XuanLi engagement.
Jin Guangyao is panicking. Yanli is fascinated by her kind, secretive husband who has told her on their wedding night that he expects nothing from her that she is not willing to give. an alternate universe where not as much hurts and also nie mingjue and jiang yanli get married for Political Reasons or something. (handwaves vaguely) something like that. really it's just "five times someone gave a shovel talk to nie mingjue and one time someone gave one to jiang yanli and one time mingli actually fucking talked", except it went sideways and grew acespec emotions about internalised shame and feeling broken.
