Chapter Text
My parents never got the happy ending they both desperately wanted together.
My dad was completely heartbroken after he and my mom got a divorce and left him, me, and my sister, Shelly, in the dust. She ran off with some guy named Roy after telling my dad off.
"You're nothing but a drunken asshole, Randy. You never cared for anyone. No one will ever love you. Go fuck yourself."
Were the last words she ever said to my dad.
"I love you kids, with all my heart, but I can't take you with me. You need to stay here with your dad, he'll take care of you. Maybe come visit me when your older."
Is the last thing she said to me and my sister.
That all happened 4 years ago. I was only 12, I'm now 16 and I'm the middle of my sophomore year in high school.
-
"Shut up, turd !" Shelly yelled from across the table.
"It's not my fault your 21 and still live with your little brother and dad." I snap back. My dad just sits there at watches as we shot insults back and forth at each other. Me and my sister really aren't that close. Almost at all. She's also been a bitch to me ever since I was little. On very rare occasions she'll be nicer to me. My parents never did anything about her which always made me really mad. My mom either didn't realize or didn't care, when she was still around of course. My dad for sure just doesn't care, most likely at all.
"Both of you, cut it out, you are giving me a head ache." Randy said to us, we don't ever listen to him so we just kept yelling. I think he finally got sick of us after around a minute after he said that because he slams his hands down on the table hard enough to break it, and yells, "ENOUGH! BOTH OF YOU." He screams, I wouldn't be surprised if the neighbors heard him. "Stanley go get ready for school."
I lazily get up and put my empty bowl of cereal in the sink. "Wash your bowl when you come back down." I hummed as a 'ok' which I'm guessing made my dad even more irritated with me because all he does is scowl and give me a glare as I walk up the stairs.
I head over to my drawer and pull out a gray hoodie and a pear of blue jeans. Since I so desperately wanted to leave, I very quickly got changed then put my red poof ball hat on. I run out my bedroom door swiping my bag off of the ground on my way out. I quickly scurry down the stairs, with my father yelling at me to wash my bowl and to not take his car. Desperately wanting to make my dad mad, I take the keys to him car off of the key holder and sprint out the door. My dad obviously noticed and ran after me, I'm his underwear and robe, without a care in the world that the neighbors were watching. He just didn't want me to take his car.
He's to slow tho because I closed the door to the car and lock it before he can get a chance to open it. I start the car and place my bag in the passengers seat. My dad motioned me to roll down the window, and I did, but only a little bit do he could jam his and though and unlock it.
"I told not to take my car, you little fag." To be honest I'm a little hurt that he calls me that, even if he's not really being serious, but I try to not let it bother me to much.
"And I need a ride and your never drive me to school because your a fucking asshole who's always either high or drunk." I say back. He squints his eyes at me as a threat.
"You're gonna be in big trouble when you get home, Stan." He threats. I decide to ignore it, and start to back out do the drive way, just missing his foot in the process. "Bye!" I say out the window. He shouts at me to come back but I'm already starting my hour drive to school. I find it funny how easily he can get mad over the littlest things that don't even matter.
I pull up to the school an hour later with music baring out of the speakers. I park and get out with my bag slung over my shoulder. I start to walk over to the usual spot where I met my friends. Kyle, Kenny, and cartman.
I find it astounding how we've all stuck together through all these years. We've gone through thick in thin. Me and Kyle are closer then ever, like we've always been. Kyle is really important to me.
Kyle has been my super best friend since preschool. He's always stuck by my side no matter what. We've been on so many little adventures over the years, I don't know what I would do if we ever stopped talking.
Cartman is still the same racist asshole he's always been. But he's gotten slightly better. He still spreads useless rumors about people he doesn't even know around.
Then Kenny, the homeless guy who holds the friend group together. He can be a asshole to but he's a lot better then Cartman. And he doesn't spread anything around. He and Cartman are also pretty close.
Before I even realized I was already with my friends by Kenny's locker. While Kenny is forcibly stuffing things into his already crowded locker, Kyle and cartman are fighting. Kyle looks about ready to punch him in the face, while for cartman, he has the biggest, most annoying smirk plastered on his face.
Kyle seems to see me because he yells at me to hurry up, "Stan, tell this fatass to shut the fuck up! He keeps calling my mom a fat bitch." I try my hardest not to laugh as I watch cartman mimick him.
"I indeed did say that and I'm not going to deny it because it is true, and you know it," cartman deadpans as Kyle turns back to him, annoyed. Kenny slams his locker closed and turns around, seemingly surprised at my newfound presence. "Oh shit Stan, sorry I didn't even realize you were there." He says chuckling a bit. We have a mini conversation about assignments and out next class, ignoring Kyle and Cartman who are still fighting over useless shit.
Kenny and I walk away to out classes because them fighting was starting to get annoying to the both of us. I feel bad for leaving Kyle alone with Cartman but he got himself into this. Me and Kenny part ways to out classes, he has algebra and I have biology.
I go sit down in the seat next to butters since he just so happens to be my only somewhat friend in my current class. He can be a little bit annoying but I have to be nice to him since he's dating Kenny, so technically I have no choice. "Hi there, Stan! How are you today?"
"I'm good, butters. How bout' you?" I ask back. "I'm doing decent, but also not because I haven't seen my one and only Kenny."
I smile a awkward smile. Whenever Kenny and butters flirt or when they talk about each other I find it cringy. It's not because I don't them together or anything it's just how they talk to or about each other. Kenny always says stuff along the lines of 'oh, how I miss my precious little butters.' And then butters can be even more cringy with saying stuff like, 'I miss my baby Kenny so much right now.' It's very annoying.
I can't help but be happy for them tho. Kenny has liked butters ever since the 6th grade. And as far as I know, butters has liked him since the 5th grade. They started dating in the middle of freshman year.
I desperately look at the clock, I hate this class with a passion since Mr. Garrison teaches it. Some how he's still a teacher, even tho he's been fired a couple of times and he doesn't even teach us anything, all he does is talk about is boyfriend Rick and whine about, I don't even know half of the time. All I know is that I'd rather have anyone else as a teacher other than him.
Finally after a hour of listening to him and his annoying voice, I can finally go to my next class.
-
It's now lunch time and It feels like my stomach to about to explode from hunger. I walk into the cafeteria and wave er Kyle as he sits down at our usual table. I quickly run up and get my food so I can be with Kyle. I get there and sit down in between him and Cartman. Kenny and butters on the other side talking to each forget ignoring all of our existence. Cartman suddenly clears his throat and we all look at him, disrupting mine and Kyle's conversation as well.
"Why are none of you talking to me? I'm your superior." Cartman said while crossing his arms. "Because no one wants to talk to you, fat ass." I say back. His eyes widen as if he didn't expect that. "And you're not supe-" I get cut off by him yelling and everyone in the cafeteria turning to look at us. "I am big boned you goth bitch!"
"First of all I'm not goth I don't even wear black or anything gothic, and just because the goth kids don't hate me doesn't make me a goth kid. Second of all your not big boned, even you're slut of a mom says you are fat." Kyle laughs a little when I said that, along with Kenny and Butters. But cartman doesn't seem to give up. "I'm gonna fucking fight you, Stanley." He yells again. "Okay, bet." I say and stand up "I'll win anyways."
Cartman apparently didn't actually wanna fight because he responds with, "Uh, you know what, I need to get to class." I cross my arms and glare at him, "No, fight me you little pussy." At this point, Kenny, Butters, and Kyle stood up and circled around us, as well as a couple of other people, like Tweek, Craig, Jimmy, and Clyde. I then start laughing at Cartman because of how terrified he looks. "I'm just joking man I'm not actually gonna fight you. I'd punch you once and you'll start crying for your mommy." Cartman looks relived but he try's to hide it with scoffing and sitting back down to eat. The couple of people that were standing around say back down.
"Dude, Stan, that was so random." Kyle said while smiling, and I smile back at him. "To be honest, I thought he knew that I was joking but apparently he didn't." I laugh a little, so does Kyle. "Oh, that reminds me, do you wanna sleepover after school? I have to watch Ike because my parents are gonna be gone for the night and I don't wanna deal with him alone. He's in his emo phase. I think it's because he's been hanging out with the Frickles kid or how ever you say it." Kyles asks.
I nod, "it's pronounced 'Firkle' not Frickles. But yea sure, I haven't seen Ike in a while anyway."
-
It's finally the last class of the day, and the only class I have Kyle in. But sadly this class just so happens to be gym class, probably the worst. We've been running laps for the past 20 minutes, I thought I was gonna die and I think Kyle almost fainted from low blood sugar. Whenever coach was in a bad mood he makes the entire class run for 30 minutes straight, he's such an ass.
"Kyle! I'm gonna fucking die." I say while panting. "You're fine, we- only have- like- five minutes left." He looks like he's about to faint, but that might be because he's running. For some reason when Kyle runs, instead of his face getting red like everyone else's, it just turns really pale. It's weird, he doesn't even know why he does it himself.
"Finally!" I exclaim, "The pain is over!" I plop down on the bleachers until everyone is done with the last lap their on, and wait til further instruction from coach. Kyle sits down behind me and leans back, pressing his back against the row behind us. "I fucking hate this class." Kyle says.
"I know right, he doesn't have to make us run half of class just because his wife cheated on him again." I crossed my arms and watch as coach sits at his desk with his back pushed against the wall in the center of the gym. He has his head facing down with his hands holding it up. Kyle laughs a little at what I said, "Yeah...but I can't help but feel at least a little bad for him."
Before I can say anything back, coach blows his whistle to get everyone's attention. "Alright class, listen up! Today, we're gonna play basketball for the rest of class. So get in groups of four." Goddammit. I've always hated play basketball, but for Kyle on the other hand he absolutely loves it and to show off is enthusiasm for it he quickly jumps up and claps his hands together.
"I love basketball." Kyles says, I'm guessing to himself. He grabs my hand to pulls me up and drags me tostada Tolkien. Whenever we play basketball or anything in general, unless it's groups of two, he makes me group with him and Craig. "I miss Tweek so much man. It's like I haven't seen him in forever." Craig whines while showing off his braces while he talks. "This is the only class you don't have with him, and we don't even have this class everyday." Tolkien replays.
Tolkien is pretty popular, and he's also dating one of the cheerleaders, Nichole. He has short black Curley hair, and is always wearing a purple sweater with a collar on it. He's actually really nice and fun to talk to.
Craig on the other hand, he can be a big asshole, but he can also be really awkward. Tolkien told me he's not as awkward or as much of and ass if you're closer with him but I can't take his word for that. He wears this blue chullo hat, and a random band tee with a blue jacket with the nasa symbol on it. And he's dating the most spazzy kid, Tweek Tweak.
They both mostly hang out in a group consisting of; Clyde Donovan, Jimmy Valmer, Tweek Tweak, and of course Craig Tucker and Tolkien Black themselves.
"Hey guys!" Kyles exclaims as we approach them. "Oh, hi Kyle!"
Gym class is over after those last 40 minutes of hell. Me and Craig lost to Tolkien and Kyle with 2-5 points. Since me and Craig both hate basketball, and they both love it, we were bound to lose since the beginning. We all change in the locker room and walk out of the Gymnasium. Me and Kyle talking away as Craig goes to find his boyfriend with Tolkien sulking behind him.
"Okay, let's go find Kenny and Cartman before we leave." I say. Kyle doesn't protest and following beside me as we go and look for him. We eventually find them by the entrance doors after 10 minutes of looking. I texted both of them and they said they were still in class, but then we went there it was already empty. When Kyle texted them after they wouldn't answer us so we had to walk around cluelessly until we found them.
"You fucking assholes!" Kyle says walking to them with a frustrated face. Kyle gets mad pretty easily, all three of us think he has at least slight anger issues but when ever we bring it up to him he denies it. Even his parents and Ike thinks he has them. Cartman and Kenny look toward us as Kyle stomps over. "You said you were still in class."
"We were, but Mr. Garrison let us out like 5 minutes before you got there and we didn't want to wait." Kenny tells us. "You asses are also just slow," Cartman says after.
"Shut the fuck up." I say. Kenny makes a face as if he remembered something then says; "By the way, we have to wait for butters, Tweek asked him if he can bring him to work because he doesn't have a ride, if you guys wanna go with us. But I'm not giving you guys a choice because neither me or butters has a car and I already told you could drive them there." Me and Kyle look at each other and look back, "I don't see why not, my parents aren't leaving til tonight so ill just have to be home by 6." Kyle says and I nod as a sign of agreement, "fine, I'll drive you guys I have my dads car, and I'm going to Kyles afterwards anyway."
"Heya fellas!" We all look over to Butters who's walking over with Tweek beside him, looking exhausted.
He has messy blonde hair and is wearing a sage green low collar sweater with flare sleeves with cargo pants and black converse. He's also always wearing one of those necklaces that have a crystal inside a swirl thing. I think Craig gave it to him.He always has really bad eye bags from his lack of sleep, and because of all the coffee he drinks he can't even sleep in general.
"Hey, Tweekers, Looking good!" Kenny says and swings his arm around butters shoulders.
"Fuck of-off, Kenneth." Tweek stutters. We all walk out to my dads car, which he most definitely isn't getting back until tomorrow night, and get in. Except for Cartman because I don't want him in the car, he pretended to not be mad by saying, "whatever, I have to help my mom anyways, see you sluts tomorrow."
We get to our destination after about a 10 minute drive and we all sit down. Tweek bring us drinks and we all talk about as Tweek serves away at his parents shop. Craig eventually walks in and gives us a little glare then walks up to boyfriend to give him a kiss. He stand by the counter and talks to him while he makes drinks.
"Im scared of what my dad is gonna do to me when I get home." I say after a couple minutes of silence.
"Dude, why would your dad care that you have his car? Dosent he let you take it everyday?" Kenny asked. Kyle looking at me interested in the answer.
"Not today, I think he needed it for something, but I just took it, so now he's pissed at me."
"I call on planning your funeral," Kyle says raising his hand.
