Chapter Text
"Her eyes…
That beautiful smile. How I could get lost in them forever. The way she looks down - tucking a strand of hair behind her ear when she blushes. She was perfect . And she was all mine." thought Lizzie Saltzman, as she looked dreamily at her best friend.
"Babe? Did you hear anything I just said?" asked Hope while waving her hands in front of Lizzie's face.
"Huh?" blinked Lizzie.
Hope rolled her eyes. "You're lucky I love you," She watched as Lizzie rubbed the back of her head with an embarrassed smile upon her face. "As I was saying….our anniversary is coming up -"
"Wait - our anniversary?" Lizzie's attention blurred at the thought of time flying by them like a dream.
Hope's lips tugged down into a small frown - hurt and disappointment visibly on her face.
Lizzie's eyes widened. "No, it's not that I forgot, babe. It's that I can't believe we've been together for a year already. It's just so unreal. But go on as you were saying, beautiful."
A blush swept across Hope's cheeks, as her previous disappointment washed away and was replaced with a brilliantly, bright smile forming upon her lips. "Right, mmm right. As I was saying…our anniversary is coming up and while I was going to keep it a surprise I couldn't wait any longer," She pulled two tickets out of her back pocket and flashed them in front of Lizzie's face. "Happy Anniversary!"
Lizzie's eyes zoned in on the name almost instantly: Taylor Swift Eras Tour.
Her face lit up with glee as she snatched the tickets out of Hope's hands. She kept looking between the tickets and her beautiful girlfriend, before lunging forward to hug her. "Thank you! I love them! I can't wait for us to go together!"
"Look at the date." chimed Hope, as she gave her one last squeeze.
Lizzie pulled back from their hug with a confused look on her face, but she glanced at the tickets and her jaw dropped.
"Tonight?!"
Lizzie was taken back - she didn't expect to be celebrating their anniversary a few days early.
Hope nodded before pointing at the time. "It starts at 8. So, be ready by 5:30!" she winked.
-----
Lizzie was rummaging through her closet, trying to find the perfect outfit for tonight. It was 4 o'clock - Hope would be there in an hour and a half. It was crunch time and Lizzie was nowhere near ready.
"It would help if I knew where we were going before the concert," Lizzie announced aloud to herself in frustration. "Do I go casual or fancy to go out to eat and then bring my Eras tour planned outfit to change into? Or should I just wear my Eras tour outfit?
L : Do you have something planned beforehand?
H: Just to get something to eat.
L: Where are we going to eat?
H: It's a surprise. If I told you where then that would ruin it.
L: Should I wear a different outfit or just go in my Eras tour one?
H: Whatever you want, baby
Lizzie pondered before making a decision. A smile blossoming across her face.
She had decided to dress to the nines for the concert and not worry about what others thought. All that mattered was what Hope thought.
Lizzie placed the outfit onto her bed and walked into the bathroom to get her shower. After she was done, she got dressed, blow-dried her hair and put on her makeup. She was looking in the mirror while doing final touch ups, when she heard a car horn beep. She turns her head, looks once more in the mirror, smiles confidently and turns off the bathroom light.
Lizzie walks out of her house and locks the door. She turns slowly to look at Hope, who was standing outside of the car, looking her up and down.
"Damn!! I mean…you look beautiful, babe!" Hope's azure gaze was locked onto Lizzie's eyes, completely taken back by her.
Just how I like it.
"Thanks baby. You look… hot. You know I love when you wear that leather jacket - and you're wearing a Taylor band tee? Damn. I didn't think you could look sexier than normal, but you proved me wrong" Lizzie winked while biting her bottom lip slightly, could Hope be anymore perfect?
"Yes. Yes I do" Hope winked. "Now get in - actually first, come here" Hope pulled Lizzie in for a kiss. It was short but sweet. "That's better. Now get in."
When they arrived at their destination, Lizzie didn't know what to make of it. It looked fancy, but not too fancy. They walked in and she could see everyone was either dressed up in dresses and suits or dressed casually cute. There didn't seem to be a dress code, which is probably why Hope didn't tell her what to wear. Either way, Lizzie still was regretting her decision.
"Why didn't you tell me to wear a casually cute, normal outfit. I could have packed this one. I feel so outta place"
She looked at her black bodysuit, bejeweled with large, colorful rhinestones, her sheer tights and thigh-high bejeweled boots.
Her expression shifted to a pout.
"I didn't want the place to reflect your decision. I wanted to see what you wanted to wear" explained Hope, now feeling bad about not spilling.
Lizzie's frown deepens. "You still should have told me."
"I'm sorry, babe. You look sexy as hell though. Own it" Hope nudged her, as a sly, teasing grin formed upon her lips.
And for some reason, hearing Hope call her sexy as hell, made everything alright again. But that didn't last very long.
Lizzie began moving her hands down her exposed thighs, because some guys who were walking by them, paused to whistle at her instead.
"You better keep moving if you know what's good for you" Hope ordered, clenching her fists in the process.
They put their hands up in surrender. "Sorry, darling."
"And don't call me darling!" Hope's tone was becoming more and more stern and her fists were tightening.
Lizzie grabs her hand to calm her down. "Let's just go sit down and order our food. Okay, babe?"
Hope nods. "Sorry. I know I'm bi, but I can't stand guys."
Lizzie chuckles. "I know" She leans in and kisses Hope on the cheek. "Neither can I."
They then both walked hand in hand towards a table and enjoyed dinner together, before heading back on the road.
"Thank you, that was delicious," Lizzie leaned back in her seat, holding her stomach. "I'm stuffed!"
Hope glanced over while driving and flashed her a sweet smile. It was getting darker, so it was hard to see, but Lizzie didn't need light to know how beautiful of a smile Hope had.
-----
They arrived at the concert venue and Lizzie's face lit up with glee to see everyone dressed similarly to her - or at least just as eccentric.
"This is going to be so much fun!!!"
A tiny smile tugged on Hope's lips, as she stood there captivated by Lizzie taking everything in. When Lizzie turned to her however, her smile stretched even wider. A slight, huff of a snicker sneaks out, as she shakes her head.
"What?" inquired Lizzie, confusion now settling upon her face. "Nothing. You're just adorable, that's all. Are you ready to go in?"
Lizzie's smile returns as she nods in agreement. "Mmm-hmm."
---
🎶Say you'll remember me
Standing in a nice dress
Staring at the sunset, babe
Red lips and rosy cheeks
Say you'll see me again
Even if it's just pretend…
(Just pretend…)
Wildest dreams (Ah-ah-ah)
Wildest dreams (Ah-ah-ah)
Even if it's just in your….
Wildest dreams
(Ah-ah-ah)🎶
[Lizzie had her arms up in the air, eyes closed, allowing the lyrics and the rhythm to take control.
Her body flowed, so elegantly, that Hope couldn't help but watch her throughout the whole song]
---
🎶My name is whatever you decide
And I'm just gonna call you mine
I'm insane, but I'm your baby (your baby)
Echoes (echoes) of your name inside my
mind…-🎶
[Lizzie's eyes flirted with Hope's, her hand around her waist now, daring her to move closer.
Hope takes one step forward before leaning in to sweetly whispers into Lizzie's ear. "Happy Anniversary, baby"
Lizzie smiles as Hope leans back ever so slightly, and they share a tender kiss]
---
🎶What if I told you I'm a mastermind?
And now you're mine
It was all my design
'Cause I'm a mastermind🎶
The rest of the concert was but a blur to Lizzie, she had been so swept away by Hope, so enthralled by her beauty, that she would find herself caught dazing at her. But something about those few select moments resonated deep within - she just didn't understand why though.
The drive home was relaxing and peaceful, but even in silence, the unspoken speaks volumes.
*Softly playing in the background*
🎶No one wanted to play with me as a little kid
So, I've been scheming like a criminal ever since
To make them love me and make it seem
effortless
This is the first time
I've felt the need to confess
And I swear
I'm only cryptic and Machiavellian
'Cause I care🎶
-----
They arrived back at Lizzie's house and head upstairs. The best ending to a perfect anniversary -
Falling asleep within each other's arms.
Before she can crawl into bed and cuddle closely to the woman of her dreams, Lizzie walks into the kitchen to get a drink of water. When she comes back she slips underneath the covers and Hope rests her head upon her shoulder.
🎶And baby for you
I would fall from grace
Just to touch your face
If you walk away…
I'd beg you on my knees to stay - 🎶
Lizzie turns her head causing Hope to look into her eyes once more.
They gaze lovingly for a few moments before sharing one last kiss. Lizzie savors the moment, mesmerizing the taste of Hope's lips, the feel of them against her own. The dance of their tongues colliding as one. It was all so hypnotic.
Lizzie raises her left arm into the air and -
Hope let's release a grunt, as their lips part.
"Li-Lizzie…"
A look of heartache and horror drew upon her face, as the light left her eyes.
Lizzie turns to look at the ceiling and smiles psychotically. A now dead Hope lying beside her, covered in blood, with a carving knife sticking out of her chest.
🎶 Oh woah oh
Don't blame me
Love made me crazy
If it doesn't
You ain't doin' it right 🎶
