"Pack Members"
Keith stretched out in the nest, his head tucked under his mother's chin. He loved that position as it allowed him to not only hear her purr but to feel it as well. He may only be four deca-phoebes-old, but he knew he was slightly different than the rest of his pack.
He was what his pack called a Galra Human hybrid, even though they never treated him as less than a pure blooded kit. He had the pale peach colored skin and the white sclera of his eyes from his human heritage, but he had the purple fluffy ears, the purple irises, the purple cheek stripes, and small fangs from his Galra heritage.
His pack consisted of Krolia, his mother; Kolivan, his grandfather and Krolia's father; Antok, Kolivan's second-in-command; and Thace and Ulaz, mates and Krolia's pack brothers. All four of the male Galra adored the little kit, and it wasn't unusual to see one of them carrying the kit around during the day cycle. Sometimes Keith was even napping while his pack members worked. Other times, he napped in the nest with his mother.

Krolia purred to her kit when he stretched and smiled when he responded in kind. She adored her kit; he was such a little darling that it was hard not to. However, he did remind her of her late mate.
He had been there when she crashed on Earth and had nursed her back to health. They had fallen in love and had a baby, but then he was fatally shot by Empire soldiers (looking for the Blue Lion) when Keith was only a few phoebes old. Krolia did the best she could to divert the Empire's attention away from Earth by sending a message that no lions were on the planet, and then, she took her new kit back to the Blade of Marmora headquarters to raise him with her pack.
Raising her kit was no easy task as there were no records on a Galra Human hybrid or what milestones he would have or when he would achieve them. However, he seemed to be following most of the milestones for Galran kits, except his language seemed pretty advanced for his age. Most kits his age would only say a few words, preferring to use the noises that actually predated the spoken word. Keith, on the other hand, alternated between the two, using them equally.
The most surprising thing came when Krolia (and Keith) had recently come back from a short trip to Earth in order to collect a few items from Keith's father's place. The duo had returned with a small wolf pup in tow. It turned out to be a cosmic wolf pup that had bonded with Keith, and now, the two were inseparable. Wherever Keith was, the wolf was too, even in the nest.
Kolivan, Antok, Thace, and Ulaz truly didn't mind the inclusion of the wolf into their pack. He was a member of their pack as much as Keith was. It was even cute when the kit and wolf played with each other. It was during one of these times, when Thace was watching them, that they discovered that the wolf can teleport, which surprised him. Thace had panicked over losing Krolia's beloved kit and didn't want to be the one to tell her. He made calls to the other members of the pack (minus Krolia) to see if they knew where Keith (and the wolf) were. Fortunately, Kolivan told him that the two were safe. Kolivan had been startled when Keith and the wolf had appeared in his office, ending up in the nest he kept in his office for his pack members. It was even more shocking when Krolia turned it into a game. She would actually tell the wolf to teleport Keith somewhere, and she would seek them out. Of course, there were places that were off limits like the hangar and any ships that were there, but that still left a large section of headquarters to search, which was the reason why mother and kit (and wolf) were napping in the familial nest before the evening meal.
