Work Text:
Lee Chan was screwed.
Not in ‘crap I broke something’ screwed. It was much worse than that. Worse than when he accidentally barged into a certain senior’s dorm room and found out that some people slept in the nude under the blanket. Worse than spilling a bowl of handmade noodle that was the last batch of the day. Worse than your little brother ruining your homework an hour before class started.
It was purely an accident, Lee Chan swore.
He was only delivering reports to their leader. He did not find Seungcheol in the office, so it was only sensible for him to deliver said important reports to his personal room, right? Because Lee Chan was merely following what Jisoo-sunbaenim had instructed: important reports should be delivered safely to Choi Seungcheol’s hand.
So that was what he did.
Lee Chan knocked on the door, but there was no answer. So he knocked again. And again. And then, thinking that the Leader was busy doing something that he did not hear the knocking, Lee Chan politely opened the door.
Only to find out that yes, Seungcheol was doing something. But that something was not reports nor something innocent.
Lee Chan stared at the two people who were probably in the middle of doing the deed.
Those two people stared back at Chan.
The three of them were trapped in awkward silence for what felt like years–but in actuality was only a minute.
Then Lee Chan bowed ninety degrees, yelling, “PARDON THE INTRUSION!” before dashing out–not forgetting to close the door tightly before he made himself fully scarce.
Back in the room, Jeonghan stared at the pile of scroll that was left on the floor. His lips were twitching. “He’s following Jisoo’s order, isn't he?”
Seungcheol groaned as he rested his head on Jeonghan’s bare shoulder. He hugged the person underneath him, whining, “I really shouldn’t have let Jisoo take care of the newcomers.”
“The normal ones were busy, anyway, and Woozi refuses to go out of his lair. Leaving him to Seokminnie was probably okay but…” Jeonghan coughed to cover his laugh. “Maybe we should have left him in Mingyu’s care.”
But lamenting this would be fixing a barn after losing a cow. Seungcheol had no choice but to chase after their poor newcomer and explain stuff. Or maybe had someone explain it to him. Grumbling under his breath, Seungcheol left the warmth that was Jeonghan’s embrace and put on his robe. Not even bothering to tidy up his hair, he left after giving a peck near Jeonghan’s eye.
Jeonghan’s fit of giggles did not stop for at least three minutes. And it continued on the next day, when their poor Little Channie bowed so low he ended up lying face down on the floor, apologizing for his rude behavior.
While Seungcheol picked up the boy from the floor with ease and started to reprimand him about proper sleeping hours, Jeonghan stared at the figure who was cheerfully waving his hand from behind the office entrance door.
At Jisoo’s mischievous self, Jeonghan fondly rolled his eyes.
