Summary
Being used as an angel's vessel changes someone fundamentally. The grace seeps into every cell, every molecule of the body, and even if the angel leaves the vessel and they survive, they'll never be without that little wisp of grace in their souls. It makes them stronger, faster, maybe even telekinetic and psychic if their body was used as a vessel for a long time.
John Winchester was used as Micheal's vessel for only on hour. But that was enough. He was the only vessel to survive being used and then thrown away by an archangel, mostly because Micheal needed him to. Heaven needed him to.
What Heaven doesn't anticipate is the remnants of Micheal's grace eroding the wall around his memories of meeting his future children. But it does. And John vows that he will not become the man that made soldiers out of his kids instead of loving them.
The repercussions of this will rock Heaven, Earth, and Hell.
