Embers and Poison
Slow-acting
Burning
Devastating.
The embers are blown upon
And gradually
Then suddenly
Conflagrate.
The toxin builds
And builds
Until tiny illness
Becomes bedridden delirium.
And soon it is out of control.
The sweat drips down
