Chapter Text
Lord of the crystal and protector of all;
Focus your mind and trust your call.
With the world shifting back into place, Andy felt himself land in something cold but soft. The coldness around him sent a shocking shiver down the young teen's spine, causing him to transform. Immediately he felt warmer which was relieving. Maybe being part dragon helped him fend off the cold.
Standing up, Andy glanced around at where they were. They'd ended in a forest caked in snow that seemed to be in a sloped mountainous area. He looked around for where the others had ended up. Alex was half buried in the snow upside-down, struggling to pull herself out; Aster was on top of the ground and Sam was in a pile of pine needles. Rushing over to Alex, Andy helped his sister out of the snow pile. Alex shook herself clean of any snow.
"You alright?" Andy questioned. While Alex seemed alright after what happened in the desert, Andy knew Alex was one to try and hide her pain.
Alex waved Andy off, "I'm fine, just a bit chilled."
Trusting his sister, Andy backed off. Looking around again, he saw Aster was now standing and Sam was brushing himself clean of pine needles. They seemed to be one person short.
"Anyone seen Robin?" he questioned.
"Up here!"
Glancing up, the young teen spotted the young wizard half way up in the trees. A small smile appeared on Sam's face.
"You need to stop getting yourself stuck in trees. You may be named after a bird but you aren't actually one," he called out.
Robin gave a sarcastic laugh, rolling his eyes. "Very funny, just let me down... Please."
Everyone looked at Sam who gave a shy shrug, "It's too narrow for me."
"Same here," Alex cut in.
Andy let out a sigh, "I'll do it."
Flexing his muscles, the young chimera took into the air and up through the trees. He stopped at the level Robin was, who was clinging to a tree branch.
"Would you like any help?" Andy said, trying to contain the smile creeping onto his face.
Robin glared over at him with piercing golden eyes which somewhat unsettled Andy. Who knew Robin gave such a glare? Robin's familiar Al slithered out from the young wizard's scarf and bit him on the hand. The young wizard let out a curse in Latin and glared over at Al who just glared back.
The two of them glared at each other but Robin turned back to Andy. "Can you let me down... Please?"
Picking up the young wizard like a kitten (Robin seriously weighed like nothing ), Andy flew back to the ground and plopped him onto the ground. Robin brushed himself off as Andy landed next to him. Glancing around, the white haired teen saw Aster had bundled up into warmer clothes (Another hoodie plus her Flexline gloves and boots) and Alex had transformed; Sam hadn't changed at all so Andy suspected he was more resilient to the cold.
"At least the weather's more comfortable now," Robin stated, gaining an eye roll from Alex.
"Well there's no use in standing around in the cold, let's get going," Aster exclaimed, sprinting out into the forest.
That caught everyone off guard and the group began chasing after the young feline hero. Time to see what this environment had in mind for them.
