As Damon finally, when he had to, admitted his mistakes, returned to live with Mimi in their wing, things took a new turn as Mimi found out just how demanding it is now. Life with so many more children, demanding husbands, and all of the other stuff around her. Mariella found her inner saviour once again. Meaning she talked and she made men share. It was not easy, not fun for most of them, but it helped, and by doing this, she got to know them as well. Of course, her being a mother too took its toll and life remained busy, surprising, and not all surprises were good ones, not at least if you were ask Mimi.

The walls he has built around their life are of the finest steel. They are made not to fall down. Nothing is everlasting however, and he's not blind, even if he wants to be. In the end, maybe there's something more to his future than a pit of grief. Maybe there's a door.
