Theo stopped dead, hand on the truck door. He turned his head just enough to glare over his shoulder. “Yeah, I know the damn condition.”
“Then you know what happens next,” Scott said quietly. “We have to send you back.”
Theo’s jaw clenched. His claws weren’t out, but the tension in his shoulders said they wanted to be. “You have no idea what happened out there.”
Stiles crossed his arms, still shaking from the cold, trying to bite back the bitter taste in his mouth. “Oh, I think we do. Eight wendigos dead. That’s the whole story.”
Theo spun, voice raw. “You weren’t the one being torn at from every direction! You weren’t—” He caught himself, chest rising and falling fast, then jabbed a finger toward Scott. “How about you ask your emissary what he would’ve done, huh? Ask the vet. Ask Deaton what he would’ve done surrounded by eight feral wendigos while trying to protect a useless. Fucking. HUMAN!”

Ve světě, kde rasy bojují o moc, se zrádné rozdělení mezi vílami, elfy, skřítky a chimériany stalo neodvratným osudem. Nenávist mezi nimi rostla a válka, která byla původně o hrdosti, se proměnila v boj za záchranu identity každé z ras. Having five babies is not easy, and sharing husbands is even more challenging. Mariella's pregnancy took a nasty turn, ultimately leading to her hospitalization for weeks. This situation drew all of Salvatore's attention, as well as Charles's, creating a rift between Mimi and Charles, as well as between Mimi and Salvatore. Although she had Wulfe, Adam, and the boys caring for her, she was forced to take on the roles of pack leader and business owner while also navigating her pregnancy.
When she finally gave birth, she was surprisingly the mother of five small but immortal preemies, with minimal support. Meanwhile, Mariella, the princess, had Salvatore and Charles worshipping her and caring for her healthy triplets, which allowed her to remain a mess in her own mind. However, as the truth emerged, as it often does, Mariella was compelled to embrace motherhood. She discovered both the joys and stresses that come with it, particularly as she faced the challenges of raising babies alongside an overbearing man like Damon.
