Dr. John Smith is literally the best professor I’ve ever had. I’ve learned so much from him, and have taken at least three of his classes. His lectures are so informative but compelling, and he’s always accessible. The tests are hard, but if you’re willing to do the work and show up for office hours for help, they’re easier.

My dad took his classes when he went to St. Luke’s in the 90s, and he said that he was the best professor he ever had and that I should take his classes if he was still there. He said he was kinda old then, and he’s still old now, so idk how long he’s been there. Anyway, his lectures are good, but sometimes he’ll go off on history tangents unrelated to the subject, like, I was in a chem class and he started talking about the decline of the Shogunate in 19th century Japan, which was super cool but also not relevant? The tests are hard but he’s really quick to reply to emails.

He's okay but one time I called an alien a Martian and he went on a rant about how we shouldn’t call all aliens ‘Martians’ because that’s a racist, and when I asked if aliens were real, he laughed and said of course and started listening some off, so…keep that in mind when you sign up for his classes.

dr. smith is okay I learned a lot but he’s kinda weird. he gives good lectures but a couple of them were off topic and one time he just stared at us half of the class and then did a lecture about writing villanelles and made us write them for homework even tho we’re in a physics class. he takes a couple of days to reply to your emails. my friends think he’s a silver fox but tbh I think he looks like a barn owl.

Intimidating at first but okay after the first two meetings. Good at explaining things and cares about students’ progress. Spotty on replying to emails. Assigns really obscure readings.

I enjoy Dr. Smith’s lectures, but he’s been absent on and off this term a lot without prior notice. Some of the students have to commute so that really sucks that they come here to an empty room. Also he’s taking about a week to respond to emails, and we haven’t gotten a test from September back yet. I’ve emailed the department and they just sort of shrugged it off.

Is Dr. Smith still working at St. Luke’s? We haven’t seen him since the middle of November, and grades are due soon. I really don’t want to take organic again.

Listen, Dr. Smith may be super well liked on campus but him not turning in his grades at the end of term is absolutely unacceptable. I appealed my incomplete grade to the department and they’re still getting back to me, but this is a really shitty thing for St. Luke’s to do.

I was gonna take another of Dr. Smith’s classes but then I heard a rumor he resigned halfway through term and didn’t tell anyone?? Anyway he had the best stories if he does come back I’ll take him again.
