Summary
Zhira was most definitely the most vexing, meddling bard with a hero complex that Rolan had ever had the misfortune of meeting.
On the other hand, Rolan was also the most arrogant, ungrateful ass that Zhira had ever encountered. But, of course, when Zhira presented Rolan with the opportunity to finally be the hero that his siblings needed, and prove to everyone why the great Lorroakan chose him to be his apprentice - how could he say no?
Neither could have foreseen how Rolan would find himself feeling genuinely at home with the party. Or how he and Zhira would come to admire, and even care for the new facets they would see in each other.
But, if he is to remain - can Rolan summon the courage to hold on, when faced with mindflayers at every turn? Or even, the blood of Bhaal, staring back at him through the eyes of the woman he would find himself falling for?
This story explores the story as it could be, with Rolan joining the party as a romanceable companion for the Dark Urge, from Act 2 and onward.
