Work Text:
With all of the effort of moving, Felix had been very strongly ignoring his own pain. After all, he was used to it, and he understood that they needed all hands on deck when it came to moving into the new apartment.
Sure, the constant work make his back sear and ache like he'd been tortured and his legs felt like they were being beaten with hammers every night as the strain from the day set in, but that didn't matter.
A few days in, though, his body decided to pull the emergency breaker and he was powerless to stop it.
He was helping carry in another box when suddenly his legs, which had been searing with pain since before he even woke up that day, decided enough was enough and gave out on him. He managed to toss the box aside so it didn't fall on top of him, but that was the least of his worries.
As his boyfriends ran to his side to try and figure out what was wrong, a deep nausea worked his way from his legs to his stomach and then up his throat and he puked all over the floor.
"Oh, shit, sorry" he said, unsure of what else to say. He began rocking back and forth slightly despite his pain, just to soothe himself because now his boyfriends knew and had to deal with him.
"Felix, hey, look at me" Vincent said, snapping the goth's attention to him while Kevin and Adrian cleaned up his vomit off the floor and put the dejected box to the side. "What's going on? Are you sick? Talk to me"
Felix opened his mouth to reply but nothing came out. Vincent frowned. Now this is just annoying, Felix thought, grabbing his phone and shooting the other man a text.
local._.goth._.boy : been havin flare-up for few days now sry
"You idiot, why didn't you say anything?" Vincent scolded. Felix avoided his gaze. The blonde sighed. "It doesn't matter. You're resting, sir"
"Hey, is he alright?" Kevin asked as he and Adrian returned from their clean-up. Vincent looked at them and then back at Felix and then back at them. His fingers were rapidly drumming against his knee and he sighed.
"He's not sick" he told them. "He's having a flare-up"
"Oh, Felix" Adrian said sympathetically. Felix stared at him. Kevin looked at the others as he contemplated what to do.
"Okay, come on" he said, picking up the pained man in his arms and lying him on the couch. "No more work for the day, alright?" he asked, getting a thumbs up in response. "Vincent, can you get him a glass of water, please?"
"Oh, right" the blonde replied before racing off to the kitchen.
"Do you want to watch something?" the jock asked, sitting on the other side of the couch. Felix nodded. "Can't talk?" Another nod. "Okay, how about I just give you the remote?"
"Yay, break day!" Adrian said excitedly, hopping into Kevin's lap and staring at the television screen as Felix flipped through a few streaming services. "Sorry you're not feeling well, though, Felix"
Felix managed a small smile in response, then signed a 'Thank you' when Vincent returned with water.
His legs felt absolutely abysmal and his whole body ached from the strain of the past few days but, with his boyfriends by his side, he knew he'd be okay.
