When Candace Edwards turned to look at the friendly Mr. Lancer, she saw he'd vanished. Frowning, she looked forward and discovered herself in the familiar hallway leading to her classroom. She attempted to shake off the vibe that something peculiar had occurred. After all, William stated ghosts swarmed the town, yet there was some nagging feeling in her mind that something abnormal still ensued.

She decided to ignore it as her first-period class walked in. She took roll call, noting that all junior political members were there. Plus, the Martin Twins, the school's leading actors, and the two co-captains of the cheerleading squad.  Today, the class analyzed the popular Rick Riordan book series Percy Jackson. The classes enjoyed debating the various topics related to the book series.

Mrs. Edwards quickly handed out papers for the students to compose essays from their POV of the books. While students worked on their essays silently, she took out a journal she carried with her and documented her thoughts regarding this morning's encounter.

I can't shake the feeling something odd transpired today. I don't recall Yasmine saying anything at the previous teacher meeting concerning hiring a new English teacher or someone calling in sick and needing a substitute.  I'll ask her about it at the next faculty meeting. Nevertheless, Willaim seemed an excellent educator and would make a delightful companion. He could assist in discussing names for my and my sisters ' future sons if he is a new hire.

Our husbands named our daughters after celebrated musicians. My sisters and I agreed we wanted to name our sons after notable literary characters. Could William give us some insight?  Yet, walking to class, everything seemed foreign. Like I was in an entirely different school, it was bizarre how William seemed to vanish after the first bell rang. I do hope we bump into each other again.

Again, I'll speak to Yasmine and the rest of the staff about William at this weekend's meeting. I'll also talk to my sisters, husband, and brothers-in-law about getting help choosing suitable names from literature for our sons. Strangely, we all share the same birthday. My sisters and our husbands were born on January 2nd, and our daughters were all born on June 5th. We're all due to give birth to our sons sometime in mid-April.

Honestly, it's been a weird day, undoubtedly! Well, I need to focus on my class now. I'll discuss this morning with the others at a later date.” She closed her journal and collected the student's essays before sending them to their next class.
