“Fah! Hwa!” called out Lan Ge, having tried to take Fa Hua‘s attention away from his laptop for the past fifteen minutes to no avail, the single pocky stick between his teeth dangerously close to getting snapped in two the more frustrated he grew. This wood!
Fa Hua seemed to have reached his limit of blatantly ignoring Lan Ge, sighing as he closed his laptop. Eyeing the pocky sticking out of his pouting mouth and the huffy cheeks red from tension, he simply raised an eyebrow and asked: “What are you doing?”
Lan Ge‘s eyes twitched, dangerously close to biting into the pocky stick in anger before he realized just in time and pulled them out, swinging it in front of Fa Hua‘s face. “Fucking hell- I told you! It‘s pocky day!”
“That doesn’t really answer my question.”
“You—! It’s- it’s um…” Lan Ge faltered for a second before snapping his fingers. “It’s when we compete to see who can get the shortest pocky stick…yes! That‘s right!”
He watched Fa Hua’s reaction eagerly and expectantly, only for him to look away dismissively and say, “I’m not interested, sorry.”
A crestfallen look briefly passed Lan Ge’s face before he let out a quiet ‘hmph’. “…Fine. I won’t force you anymore.”
Fa Hua then eyed his partner from the corner of his eyes, his partner who was now just standing there lost in thought, fiddling with the matcha-coated pocky stick in his hands—Fa Hua’s favorite flavor—and hid a small smile. There was obviously only one thing Lan Ge wanted, but he was too embarrassed to ask it outright, and Fa Hua simply could not resist teasing him.
With a shake of his head, he snatched the flavored stick from Lan Ge’s hand before it would inevitably fall to the ground and snugly fit it between his lips, ignoring Lan Ge’s cries of indignation when he rested his hands on his hips, stopping Lan Ge from moving.
“Huh? Wha—?!”
“I changed my mind. Didn’t you say it was a competition?”
Lan Ge scrutinized the pocky stick in his mouth with a distrustful gaze before ultimately yielding at Fa Hua’s gentle caress on his waist, cheeks puffing up in anger.
“Bastard,” murmured Lan Ge sourly before biting viciously into the stick as Fa Hua stayed still, letting Lan Ge slowly approach him until their breaths mingled closely, Fa Hua’s eyes softening as he gazed at Lan Ge's round eyes staring back at him expectantly.
Gently, Fa Hua pushed the back of Lan Ge’s head and closed his eyes, enjoying the soft lips touching his as they finally kissed, the immediate happy humming from Lan Ge unmistakable. Fa Hua coaxed open Lan Ge’s lips with his tongue, licking away the sweet crumbs of matcha in his mouth as he deepened the kiss, soft moans betraying the other’s eagerness as their tongues tangled and danced, the pocky long forgotten as it was meant to be.
…Or so Lan Ge thought.
Fa Hua suddenly pulled away from a confused Lan Ge, face red and lips wet, an unhappy noise in the back of his throat as he tried following Fa Hua lips only to come up empty. Frowning deeply, he finally gathered enough wits to demand an explanation when Fa Hua stuck out his tongue.
It took Lan Ge several seconds to notice the tiny bit of pocky stick resting innocently in the middle of his tongue, and he couldn’t help but gape.
This guy actually…?!
Fa Hua retracted his tongue and smiled, small and very much smug. “I won.”
“You- you —!!!”
Chuckling, Fa Hua kept laughing to himself even as Lan Ge shook him, demanding “I want a rematch! That’s so unfair, what the hell!!”
He then hummed, taking out another pocky stick out of its packaging and placed it between them with a small, indulgent smile. “Fine. Let’s try again.”
“Good!”
They ended up going through the entire package with Lan Ge only managing to win just once, lips terribly swollen as Fa Hua managed to pull out another breathless moan out of him, tongue sweeping diligently in search of traces of that sweet and bitter aftertaste. Lan Ge obediently opened himself up for Fa Hua to explore, mouth soft and pliant, hands grabbing and pulling him closer, not wanting to ever let go.
After what seemed like forever, Fa Hua licked the edge of his lips one last time and placed a soft kiss, pulling back despite Lan Ge’s quiet whine. He laughed fondly, resting his forehead against Lan Ge’s and just stayed there, both of them waiting to regain their breath.
He then smiled down at Lan Ge. “I still won.”
Lan Ge looked like he had half a mind to throw another tantrum before he threw his head back against the wall with a loud sigh, chest heaving.
“Fine, fine, whatever,” said Lan Ge, rolling his eyes. “I also won in a way so…it‘s a tie.”
Fa Hua knew exactly what Lan Ge meant but couldn’t help tease him again. “Isn’t that just an excuse to make you feel better?”
“Fa-duidui, you—!!”
Before he could explode again, Fa Hua swept him into his arms and pressed a soft kiss on his forehead, chuckling when Lan Ge only huffed and hugged him back tightly, cheeks tinted pink.
